The Student Center at my college used to have a SpectrAlert Classic horn/strobe in a computer lab (panel was a Notifier AFP-200.) Not anymore though, as the whole building has since been upgraded and had some partial renovations (mostly System Sensor L-series horn/strobes, but the renovated parts of the ground floor have SpectrAlert Advances.)
The building in this video is the same exact fire alarm setup in my high school that consists of SpectrAlert Classics everywhere and one SpectrAlert Advance in the English Classroom which is put in there to replace a Dysfunctional SpectrAlert Classic. Unlike the system in the video my high school's fire alarm system is a Fire-Lite MS-5210UD
it's pretty common to see the classics with the advances considering the fact the reason why there's advances with the spectralert classics is the advances replaced dead classics with a few exceptions of course!
+Zachary Fleck Yeah. Though Simplex devices could potentially be killed by FWR 😐. That's why most Simplex panels are filtered current, not FWR. Forgot to mention, good video 😉!
+Zachary Fleck You mean the video with the DC-to-DC filter? 😉 I might get one of those when I get a panel (thinking of a simple, conventional panel because my system is fairly small and basic). Currently, my system runs on regular batteries (which is ALREADY filtered DC). And, you're welcome 😄
Almost the same system at my old elementary school. They had spectalert classics and some advances but I could be a 5808 instead. But I'm leaning towards the IFP-100
It sucks they don’t make those spectre alert classic horns anymore. (The ones that sound like a sports referee whistle used for sporting events) those ones sounded better. They remind me of the fire drills that I was involved in when I was in school. They were replaced with the one you see in 1:10 and those ones aren’t loud enough and they sound terrible
My school has 2901 9838 on 4903 9105 strobe plates and there are silver plated 9838s amd i love the 2901 9838s 2901 9838s are not that loud actually 9838s in the hallway gym and truealerts on continuous in classrooms
Ok. By the way, my school has troubles very often, but its usually either a dirty detector or a device missing, which hasn't really been the case anymore.
1:10 The way that fire alarm sounds is very intimidating. But I really like, that's my favorite part. Nice video, keep up the good work!
This Brings Me Back
Great video 😀👍👍
Love that system!

1:02 Hiss Hiss Hiss!
0:51 the P2R in the background sounds it's screaming lol
I think its because the advance is saying "What about me Zachary I'm a fire alarm please show me on the camera.".

lol because they like to scream
@@CentralTexasSirens I thought so.
Great video I liked and subed keep up the great work!
Those Fire Alarms Are The Same Ones As A Building I Had A Program In When I Was 5.

Idk what scares the heck out of me the most the Spectralert advance or the Spectralert classic.
0:24 Same fire alarm I had in my elementary school. Everytime it turned on I started dancing with it.
Superfighterleo lol
I know right! Some fire alarms never dissatisfy me!

Yay! No FWR I'm assuming 😅! Boy, FWR makes those SpectrAlerts sound pretty off to me.

+Hi Mitch THIS is indeed true. FWR just makes most (if not some) alarms very raspy and such
+Hi Mitch 😉

Both my middle and high schools have system sensor specrtalert classics and advances with notifier panels and notifier BG12 pull stations

There are Spectralert Classics in the Walmart store that I go to, with bosch keypads.. Everyone should know that
1:11 Did the advance right there replace a dead classic?
Very likely

Why there are troubles?
You was slightly hear the spectalert advance

I have these fire alarms at my school
Did the spectralert advance replace a dead classic or did the installers just run out of them at the time the system was put in?
Prob dead
What was the trouble on the panel for?
🔥🚨
Had one at my old school

Fire alarm
Scare the living crap out of us
Can these alarms be tied into a smoke detector system?
they can be connected to smoke alarms via relays
I had the specter alert classic horn strobe and strobes and horn
Quick question, why weren’t any of these SpectrAlerts synced?
All the SpectrAlert Classics were synced, but the Advance at 1:11 was not in sync.
@@AadiPendse I think the silent knight panel is not good at synchronizing the advanced and classic
