Ahhh, memories of my preschool. East Heights Early Childhood Development Center used a Notifier System 500 alarm panel with Simplex 4251-20 pull stations, Honeywell smoke detectors, and System Sensor P2475 horn-strobes on Code 3. That system fascinated me even at age 4.
System sensor is definitely one of the best A/V brands. It’s plenty loud, easy to set up, and compatible with a bunch of products including all Honeywell products.
If very loud then it can damage your hearing and the volume of all fire alarms should be within good range that is loud enough that is noticeable but not very loud and by the way The Loudest fire alarm out there is Simplex 4051 and sound level from nearby exceeds 120 decibels
Oh, I like this system! Very neat, classic, and overall simple! Sounds good, too! I do like SpectrAlert a lot, especially the old ones. Not so much the new, but the Olds are cool. Nice test!
There are two ways to pull a most bg12 if not all bg12. 1) push in, pull down. 2) open cover, flip black switch down, then up, close cover. I've pulled a notifier nbg12-lx for a school fire drill at one point.
This fire alarm system looks really cool! I wish I didn't have sensory issues with these horn style sirens. I'm on the spectrum so I'm extra sensitive to these types of fire alarms and watched this at low volume. Otherwise I feel like I would be a fire alarm enthusiast since the systems like the one in this video seem really cool. I actually do like the fire alarms with the mechanical bells.
And this brings back middle school fire drill memories, all the alarms were spetralert classics ( untill after I graduated ( also my dad works at my old middle school) and lightning struck the school frying the whole fire alarm system) ( also the school was built after segregation ended and I don’t know when the alarms were put in but after the lightning strike the whole alarm system was replaced and the alarms as far as my dad told me were replaced with more spetralert classics. when I said the whole system was fried, I meant it fried the alarms, panel, and wiring.)
@@FireAlarmDude5967 here mate. Let me translate for you 10 months later. What I assume is that in one of your tests you came out of the bathroom and I guess during a sort of sync protocol a skip happened
These were in my kindergarten hall, flush-mounted and on continuous. The exit just to the left of the hall had a Simplex light plate but I'm unsure what horn it had behind it, also on continuous. And I don't remember what was to the right of my kindergarten hall.
@@Northern_Fire_Security The ssd version has a thicker font on the front but other than that the only difference is that the ssd version is manufactured by system sensor instead of pitway
If you have an Exceder or NS/NH and you install in in your system with the classics, you'll hear how they both have a G7 "screaming" type sound. It's just that the Wheelock horn sounds slightly more like a blowing whistle.

Awesome test! The model number for the System Sensor detector is a 2300TH.
System Sensor. THE company that can go with pretty much any Honeywell system, like yours.
Spectralerts is like the initiation into the fire alarm community; once you've done a system with spectralerts you're like an "official" member
That’s certainly a unique take
@@FireAlarmDude5967 nah, I was kinda joking. I was going off of Frosted Strobes when he mentioned it in his system test 24

Nice system setup! Definitely a favorite of ours.
Those kind of fire alarms are definitely at the elementary school that used to go to
Wow! They are actually classic because they were in my preschool.
Love your system tests! Great video!

I saw the fire alarm skipping at test 1 when you left the bathroom

You should install an intercom system in your basement or you already have one which is the carbon monoxide one
Perhaps

This is completely unrelated to this video, but I'm looking for a simplex 2903-9001 for my collection, and can't find one. Where did you get yours?
eBay

Where did you get notifier bg 1 from
eBay
it would be hilarious if you pulled the bg12 with a brush
Yes, that would be hilarious
Yea that's sure a "Classic" video, but it consists of Advances and not Classics
Does the buyer truck come when you pull the alarm?
It does not
No way (at least one) of those single gang classics look familiar
Funny Enough just had a Fire Drill today! (We have Classics, Vid is on channel if u want to see it)
I'm pretty sure I got one of those ADT-BG12-L's from that building too since I got a ADT-BG12-L from you on ebay a few months ago and its a PDI
Yep, that’s where I got them.
What website did you buy the bg-12 back box
Probably eBay, or amazon.
eBay
Do you have Wheelock Eluxa if you get some system test with Wheelock Eluxa?
If I get any I’ll certainly make a test

Yo you should do a random fire alarm system test
What does that mean
Nice 👍
Can you also just do a Edwards genesis only
In November
Really cool!
