Weird question but did you buy one of those 4050s off NewAgeServerAlarm? One of them in the basement sound almost exactly like the 4050 featured in System Test 28.
The only thing that is missing now is the loud 4030 Also funnily enough in NewAgeServerAlarm’s OG system test 28, the march time actually perfectly matches the one in this video
I used a 24vDC relay, powered by the panel's horn NAC, with a 20vAC power supply running through the contacts (the 4050s are 12vAC, but they should be fine since there's four of them). Be very careful not to get anything mixed up, that's how you end up with broken alarms. Essentially the same with the lights, only difference is each relay is located at the base of the lights (except upstairs, where it's positioned between the two since I bought one fewer relays than I ended up needing). The golden rule that I have followed from the beginning is that anything and everything can be fixed or rigged to work using relays.

I love the red lights. That is very old fashioned. That is what they used to install in schools during the Titanic era and during the World War 1 and 2. They didn't have strobes back then and so they used the red globe lights or the globe lights, just like that, with red light bulbs screwed in. Definitely old school! However, I think they were by the exits. However, those blinking red globes WILL demand your attention! A lot better attention grabbing than the strobes. And, they look WAY more unique than the strobes.
