    Limited Voice Evac is possible on Relay logic. For simplicity you would have a single stage system (or voice evac ONLY on stage 2). Parts you need:
    - Answering machine loop Cassette of suitable length for your voice message and any delay you want between repeats.
    - Cassette recorder with remote input
    - External Amplifier (for the voice evac speakers)
    - Microphone (for live announcements)
    - Audio Switch preferably using relay logic to automatically reset to tape on system reset
    Leave the cassette recorder in play with the remote contacts in pause (I forget if this is open or closed), the alarm system relay will switch the remote contacts starting the recorder. You will have the issue of the playback stopping mid message on reset, but I'm sure you can figure your way around this (hint it involves a high pitched tone, a filter, a tone detector and more relay logic).

    That actually sounds like perfect 90 BPM, well done, and with those recycle relays, you can effectively do whatever style BPM you wish, you could even have it pulse as fast as the rotary dial on a W.E. Model 500 if you wanted to, creativity is encouraged and welcome

      Thanks! I was admittedly overly concerned with people being nitpicky about it I suppose, it turned out alright. I must admit, those relays, I have set them to 0.1 sec on and 0.1 sec off before, it sounds about as funny as one can imagine xD

      I'm a big fan of the lights as well, I think I'll likely be keeping (at least) a couple of them up for the next few tests!
      I don't want to divulge too much about home security to the public for obvious reasons, but I will say that I certainly cannot afford anything high end, probably just an X10 system for now.

    • @SoutheastWarrenEAS
      @SoutheastWarrenEAS Год назад

      Or or or to the thought of putting up dry wall to hide it, try metal conduit, or plastic conduit to hide it. It would be a lot easier than passing up drywall (If your thinking of putting it up the same way I'm thinking). Although,.it would be pretty expensive for metal conduit, at this rate of reusing, maybe find some old, somewhat thin metal or plastic pipes lol
