Adrianne Palicki (Friday Night Lights, The Orville) joins us this week to discuss her experience in this industry - evolving from wanting to escape from Toledo to now wanting to avoid the incestuous nature of comparison within Los Angeles. Adrianne remembers her first big break on Smallville and why it was uncomfortable shooting a couple scenes in particular on the hit show. We also get into her love for being on one of the top 10 series of all time - Friday Night Lights, how she’s learned to find normal after being diagnosed with Celiac disease, and why The Orville became such a problem to film.

Friday Night Lights was brilliant. I have watched every episode three times. If they had 15 seasons and 400 episodes, I would have watched every one. The young talent that came out of that program was astounding!!

At the time everyone remarked on how FNL's was possibly the sexiest cast ever assembled. It is definitely top five most smoke-show filled casts of all time (one of the others being Smallville's). Connie Britton, Minka Kelly, Adrianne, Stacey Oristano, Aimee Teegarden, Jurnee Smollett, Madison Burge, Janine Turner, Dana Wheeler, Kim Dickens, Alicia Witt - hell, even Grandma Saracen is played by the beautiful Louanne Stephens. (I'll leave the guys' list to those who can better judge.) But it also turned out to have one of the heaviest-hitting powerhouse casts of all time. FNL was lightning in a bottle. A generational show.

Kyle and Connie made that show. But so many great young actors came out of it, including two of the biggest on the market now in Jesse and Michael

sorry but i love the show, its one of my all time favorites, but what killed that show was the batshit crazy writing in season 2 or 3 the season where adriannes character was raped and then killed covered up a murder. i know there was a writers strike and you could really tell.
