Chicago Woman Believes Dog Sitter Sold Her Dog

- Have you seen Zorro? Police in Paramus, New Jersey, are seeking the public's help in identifying a couple who may have inadvertently bought a stolen dog that went missing five months ago in Chicago. The adorable doodle mix belongs to Nia Morgan and disappeared in March. The woman says she hired a dog sitter to watch her beloved pup while she went on vacation. But when she returned, Morgan said, the dog sitter said Zorro had bolted from her car and was missing. Morgan never believed that.
This happened in the town I live in. Dog sitter sold the golden retriever but said it got lost. The family she sold it too saw the missing posters and gave it back fortunately.
Thank God......
Is it sueable
That’s good . Also if that dog sitter is still alive and well then she got lucky because if it were my dog she sold . She would be rotting underground 😄

The people who gave you back a dog, least they have a heart to bring him/her to you. Wish you and your dog the best.
Sounds like Rover didn’t even do a background check if this woman was able to find all that information on her own.
Obviously 🤦🏽♂️ none of these big time apps do that but say they do and end up not doing it even Uber says the same
I just joined Rover this summer and paid money for a background check cause it's required so they better not have pocketed the money🤣😑
There was a couple who hired someone from rover and the dog was getting abused the owners ended up seeing it on camera.
Maybe the company they hired to do the checks should be looked at
@@jamie-annpalmer304 they probably did! Lol
If you lost someone’s dog, why wouldn’t you immediately call the owner letting them know...
Exactly
@McMari all we need is the kidnapping criminal conviction to know the dog sitter is a crazy psycho and stole her dog.
I'm a victim of this kind of trash, we had to have our cats babby sat for a long time because of some unfortunate stuff with an awful "landlord". When we went to pick up our cats they talked to us on the phone and said that my cat had gotten out and got lost. He got lost 5 months before they even telling us. My cat liked to escape to the outdoors, he would occasionally disappear for up to a week at a time and come back this is how he has always been. But it's suspicious, he would have come back unless he got hit by a car, or captured. But honestly, I think they just kept him for themselves but we didn't have the money to do anything about it. But luckily at least we got our cat back that had been with us for nearly 2 decades.
Ikr! Major red flag right there.
Exactly! Praying this pup is returned!
Rover is responsible. They should pay to find the dog and reward.
I hope she sues them
Not really.
@@whitneypaige2038 yes really, rover should have absolutely have had a background check on that woman and now maybe even selling more dogs
Backround checks should be normal on Rover.

I had a situation like this. Someone offered me a german short-haired pointer, 11 month old. It had been handed off to three owners, supposedly found as a pup on the side of the road.
I asked the 3rd owner, is he chipped? She took him to the vets and found he was.
His owner was called. Come to find out the owner had a couple care for the dog while he was hospitalized and they sold the dog. Then lied the dog ran away.
It was so great to see Hunter reunited with his human. He was the happiest pup.
Thank you for doing that.
You know Rover is lying. They probably never did a back ground check.
Hope Zorro is found. It’s sickening that he was sold. Is the dog sitter being charged at all?
Sadly not. 😔

The fact that the sitter waited for her to come back from her vacation before telling her about the fact that her dog "bolted" is already a major red flag. If I were taking care of someone's dog and it bolted, I would look for it for maybe about an hour and call the owner right away.
5 months?! That’s truly horrible I hope she finds her pup soon. Losing a pet is very heartbreaking
Hopefully she will be reunited with her dog. I feel like she could sue the dog sitting company because they failed to do a proper background check on the sitter. This is just a horrible situation.
They need to be talking to this dog-sitter and asking her what happened to him. I wouldn't STOP until she says. Sickens me. Honestly.
They need to do an investigation and interrogate her. She should get jail time for selling that dog. That is theft and fraud. She has probably done it many times.

Dirtbag dog sitter!! I dearly hope Zorro gets back home safely.
Just imagine. Zorro looks like a puppy before it happened, the owner had to miss zorro growing up. I hope that it is Zorro and that Zorro and their owner reunite. ❤
This happens in my town. A dog groomer took the dog said pick up in an hour. They refused to give the dog back and ended up selling it.
They need to charge the sitter
It may sound weird but I hope that the people who got Zorro on accident don’t get in any trouble because it sorta wasn’t their fault if you know what I mean.
That’s not weird. Unless they were part of the scheme, they should be able to just hand the dog over. If they found the dog through the ad, thinking all was legit, then they will be hurting also. People bond quickly with pets. 5 months is plenty of time to fall in love with a pup.
If u watched to the end the show addressed it.
This is crazy, someone’s loosing an eye if they do something like this to me.
Somebody gonna get shot if they do this to me idc I rather go to jail and have my dog then not know where my dog is
Losing an eye would not be enough for me. I'm thinking more in the lines of an amputation... from the neck.
This is so sad. How could someone do this???
a month ago some residents at an apartment complex where my son lives found a stray. They took it to a vet and it is chipped but so far the owner has not responded. My son has taken the dog in and has been taking care of it. He has put this on all the social media outlets and no one has come forward. He has fallen completely in love with this animal and I'm afraid it's going to be hard for him when the owner does show up.
I've been missing our fur baby for many years and I always hope that he is found someday. Praying this fur baby gets back to his true owner.
What a wonderful little dog! Shame on the dog sitter! Hope this woman can find her dog!
This is why I’ll never ever leave my dog with a sitter :)
Now sell the sitter.
So much for ever using Rover. How could they possibly have missed that criminal background??
This is why I never will hire a dog sitter when I have family members and friends that will babysit my little Kirby.
