This was exactly how my dog, Sammy, found me. She was just sitting on my porch when I came home from work one day, and started wiggling all over when I got out of my car as if to say, "You're here! I've been waiting for you!" We had 11 years together before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. One of the best dogs we ever had.
I'm really glad you had so many good years with your dog. It's strange how animals will adopt someone, not the other way around! Happened for me with a little Jack Russell. Oops that damn button again. Someone came to my shop &; told me about it & I went to see if I could help. He was still layíng in the road so I went to him, talking the whole time. I’ve been doing dog rescue for 15 years and I used to sob every time a dog was adopted. Now I just tell myself that I am babysitting and I have to keep space available for the next dog in need💕
Am I the only one who felt bad that Mellow didn’t get to stay with that first wonderful couple and their two sweet dogs?? The three of the dogs looked so happy together? Lol. I’m glad he got a good mew home though too.
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed too. The video footage showed him crying when the couple wasn't at home and so they decided to give him away. In my opinion it's normal to have separation anxiety in the beginning and he could have gotten used to it after a while. However, I understand that three dogs are perhaps too much for them. They saved him and found him a forever home, which is already a very kind gesture.
Me too. But they didn't abandoned him. They were there throughout and im sure they still love them. Mellow needs a human that can give him the attention. If you send your child to college, you're not abandoning them, you're giving them the life they deserve.
I can tell you exactly why he chose that porch while the family was gone: he could literally smell that that was a home with HAPPY dogs. Dogs can smell emotions to some extent. This is why they are commonly afraid of the vet's office, even on their first ever visit -- as soon as they enter the building, or even just the parking lot, they can smell the fear of all the other dogs that have been there. That porch smelled like happy dogs. So it seemed like a safe place to hang around. Credit to the lady and her family. Her two other pups evidently live such a good life that they're broadcasting it to other dogs.
he probably didn't want to leave, but he's got a forever home. that's most important. thank you for the love and treating him like your own while you had him ♥ God bless.
Probably they wanted to keep him but after seeing the cameras and watching him being so anxious while being alone they decided that the best idea was to find a home with permanent attention. That was the best decision in my opinion, good luck to that beautiful dog
Just like people, when you get tired of being tired, you do something. He wanted a home, so he laid in front of a door. He's such a smart and thoughtful dog. I'm glad he found good people and a good home
That dog has definitely been hand fed before. He's been on a leash before. He looks like he was mourning his former owners. Feral dogs do not have that level of cleanliness and they are loaded with parasites.
Definitely he was used to having owners. He was not a feral dog. By the fact that he knew how to take food and had such good manners, someone had trained him. Hopefully his original owners didn't accidentally lose him.
@@romanfields7900 Well, I noticed he had a big head. My mom used to take in rescue dogs. Dogs with big heads for their body mean underweight. But he wasn't starving, you're right.
@@prettylittleravenna it seems he was someone’s pet in the past. He could’ve got lost or abandoned and that’s why he lost weight. Stray dogs are not that calm entering a house or being on a leash
It's not that she was chosen. She was out in a situation and she had had options. Just as everyone make their own decisions. Each moment is not the se and we don't always do the better thing. No one is perfect. It doesn't always have something to do with pets.
He made a genius move when he picked this household, these foster parents. They were so good with him, as were their own dogs. I hope he's doing well with his permanent owners. It's amazing how quickly this depressed, wary, stray dog took to his new interim family. So adaptable. His life depended on him properly seizing this opportunity. Lovely to watch him blossom. His foster parents are so good with their pets. I hope they have kids some day.....they'll make great parents.

He could also just be a street dog! Some of the sweetest animals I've met never had homes before
@Mi p I'm sure the vet checked to see if he had a microchip
So thankful she took care of him and got him a loving adopted home! He's a sweet boy like a teddy bear!
THAT PICTURE OF THE THREE OF THEM TOGETHER NEAR THE END WAS SUPER.
I thought that too. Precious.
That last night. They weren't playing with him more to 'say goodbye'. They were trying to tell you they wanted to keep him.
agreed. i can't stand the old same story: take a dog in, let all of them fall in love with each other and then separate them. :(
exactly
@@ko.ala.b ikr. I love the foster fails. Those are the best.
@@nacho_ncam they aren't though. It very difficult to let a dog go but in most cases they end up happier in their new home.
@@ko.ala.b yep . see it a lot,I don't understand why people do that!

What a beautiful dog
If you look up "good boy" in the dictionary, there is a picture of this doggo.
Gosh I love reading wholesome comments 😊
Indeed!
What a sweet soul
My husband and I joke that the picture of our puppy Lucy Lou is in the dictionary for jealous.
Why did I actually look
💯
This was exactly how my dog, Sammy, found me. She was just sitting on my porch when I came home from work one day, and started wiggling all over when I got out of my car as if to say, "You're here! I've been waiting for you!" We had 11 years together before she crossed the Rainbow Bridge. One of the best dogs we ever had.
I'm really glad you had so many good years with your dog. It's strange how animals will adopt someone, not the other way around! Happened for me with a little Jack Russell. He'd been hit by a bus & was dazed in the middle of the road. He was exceptionally aggressive & had gone for everyone who had gone near him. Someone came
Oops that damn button again. Someone came to my shop &; told me about it & I went to see if I could help. He was still layíng in the road so I went to him, talking the whole time. After a couple of minutes I picked him up & that was that! He was devoted, but only to me, he hated my boyfriend. Turned out he had better judgement than me!
Such a beautiful dog, can't believe it was a stray, thanks to the kind people who took him in.
I also think he was not a real stay. He would of looked more 'stray'.
@@heide-raquelfuss5580 that’s what I was thinking. He looked pretty healthy as if he had been in recent care of an owner.
he is so cute!
@@Queen_EL11 Sadly he was probably dumped off by the owner who couldn't afford to feed him anymore, hence being underweight.
@@shellyslioneyes No.. chances are he got lost this dog ain't underweight.. you can see his ribs when he leans out like that because he is a lean dog.. not underweight.. my dog looks just like that when he leans and he is not underweight
How you raise the hopes of these wonderful abandoned animals. They know humans can help them, and they need to turn to them
He's soooo sweet and HANDSOME!! So glad he found a forever home. Gorgeous doggo. ❤️
@J's Fun Adventures Thank you! Yes, he's my boy - Cooper. He's really a cool cat - very smart. You have a great day too - and stay safe, wherever you are! ❤️
She is a beautiful soul. She just took him in, got him vet care and found him a forever home that was a good fit for him. I applaud her 👏
Thank God for people like this couple that have patience and love in their hearts.
What a beautiful boy! 😍🥰💞💕♥
Wow, fostering is a wonderful thing but I honestly don’t know how you wouldn’t be a foster fail every time.♥️
I’ve been doing dog rescue for 15 years and I used to sob every time a dog was adopted. Now I just tell myself that I am babysitting and I have to keep space available for the next dog in need💕
@@dryconnectioncleaningservi5327 that's such a good way to look at it! 💜
Charlotte Ecliar he so cute i wish i adopt him
It would be too hard for me to give him up, but I'm glad he found his forever home. Thank you.
From a 76 year old - thank you, simply and most sincerely, thank you!
You can tell so much by the eyes of a dog. Their eyes don’t lie.
Am I the only one who felt bad that Mellow didn’t get to stay with that first wonderful couple and their two sweet dogs?? The three of the dogs looked so happy together? Lol. I’m glad he got a good mew home though too.
I thought the exact same thing
Yeah, I was a bit disappointed too. The video footage showed him crying when the couple wasn't at home and so they decided to give him away. In my opinion it's normal to have separation anxiety in the beginning and he could have gotten used to it after a while. However, I understand that three dogs are perhaps too much for them. They saved him and found him a forever home, which is already a very kind gesture.
some one Yes, i am very thankful he got a wonderful new home. Hopefully he will have some doggy siblings there too. Lol. Amazing dog.
Yeah same here!! At the end I was kinda like... wtf?!?... 🤷♀️
Me too. But they didn't abandoned him. They were there throughout and im sure they still love them. Mellow needs a human that can give him the attention. If you send your child to college, you're not abandoning them, you're giving them the life they deserve.
He was abanded. From his humans. If you can call them that. Perhaps one of them died. Who knows. But he needs to be loved. Hes a good boy.
Probably not, he never really was in the house before probably was born on the steets so was raised by a stray
He looked neutered so I’m pretty sure he had previous owners. They probably weren’t terrible he might have lost them or I agree they might have died.
Definitely not a full on stray. Nervous of the house, but not fearful.
@@andien8009 nah if you look at the parts where he was laying on his back he definitely isn't neutered.
I think so too. He probably was abandoned by death of owner or medical issues etc.
Sweet story. Glad Emily fostered him and found a forever home with her friend.
"They call me Mello Doggy (Quite rightly)."
I only imagine this in the version by The California Dreamers.
Donovan approves.
Her two other pups evidently live such a good life that they're broadcasting it to other dogs.
they have amazing insight, the good natured ones like this one.
Aww I was wishing they’d keep him. What a gorgeous boy he is!
Hello Miriam......
he probably didn't want to leave, but he's got a forever home. that's most important. thank you for the love and treating him like your own while you had him ♥ God bless.
Me too ! I rush they would keep him , you see, r dogs pick their humans
The sadness in his eyes was heartbreaking
Nope, couldn't take him in and then give him away, or any dog. He'd be mine.
I’m an epic foster fail, God bless these people and the work they do!
Probably they wanted to keep him but after seeing the cameras and watching him being so anxious while being alone they decided that the best idea was to find a home with permanent attention. That was the best decision in my opinion, good luck to that beautiful dog
I don't think you meant to take away from the kindness of the people who originally took him in but, unfortunately, it could be taken that way...
That is how it would work for me too.
100% agreed!
Beautiful people! Beautiful lovely dog!
HE LIKES BEING A DOG...YOU DID A WONDERFUL JOB BRINGING HIS HAPPY OUT 😉💕🐹
Hello Kimberly, How are you doing?
Just like people, when you get tired of being tired, you do something. He wanted a home, so he laid in front of a door. He's such a smart and thoughtful dog. I'm glad he found good people and a good home
The name Mello is perfect for him
He has such a soft face
Thank you for saving this baby
He's so gentle and sweet, wishing him happiness and love in his new forever home!
For a 'stray' he has the cleanest coat I've ever seen on a dog !
Yeah, the vet said he didn't have any worms or parasites.
No way he was a stray. Probably recently abandonned or lost
The way the white dog plays with him was adorable
I’ll bet that dog missed him like crazy.

I thought the dog looks delicious 😅👍
That dog has definitely been hand fed before. He's been on a leash before. He looks like he was mourning his former owners. Feral dogs do not have that level of cleanliness and they are loaded with parasites.
Yeah, he was left behind...
Exactly. He didn’t look underweight either.
@@0xDEAD-C0DE Can confirm, I do not care, as this isn't about you.
That is someone’s dog. He’s way to calm. He’s super sweet and tame. Sorry for the owner if they are missing him. If not, so happy he found a home💓
I was thinking the same thing. I hope Mello is doing well and happy in his new home.
I’m not, he was severely underweight, so if he had an owner, they weren’t feeding him. I’m glad he saved himself by leaving
@@prettylittleravenna He may have been someone's in the past. He definitely seemed more stray than feral.
@@prettylittleravenna it seems he was someone’s pet in the past. He could’ve got lost or abandoned and that’s why he lost weight. Stray dogs are not that calm entering a house or being on a leash

Meetings like this are never an accident. In the grand scheme of things you were chosen as this dog's savior... Good Job!
Wat if the dog chose her
@@ShahidulIslam-hb2tm this sounds like the perfect "in mother Russia, dog choose you"
It's not that she was chosen.
