It's good to see a run-through like this. Perhaps what was missed was the carry-over effect of stress on the choice of pilots as the missions progress; who to have fly, who to rest. I found that to be one of the things that really brought Hornet Leader: Carrier Air Operations to life. And damn the Leader series can be stressful to play! WW2 is more my thing and I'll pre-order Tiger Leader which is due out in March '15. This gameplay has given a good feel for what will be involved in that - it seems to be based on the same gameplay mechanics. Much appreciated!
This is one of the best play throughs I have ever seen. Thank you so much. Just got this game after a long anticipation and your video will really accelerate my start up. You did a great job here with excellent pace, clear concise description, excellent detail on all the counters, and very clear gameplay commentary. So much better than other offerings on this game.
Thanks for the nuts and bolts series.. please add more of these educational videos.. highly recommended ... best so far in the tube.. i owned hornet leader CAO and phantom leader so i am intrigued by the CAS elements in TAL...
Very nice explanation of everything that happens during a mission and game mechanics. The only mistake I saw was advancing the 4S battalion which is a fixed battalion. I made a Cyberboard version of this and Phantom Leader Deluxe because my girlfriend doesn't like games left set up on our only table. It saves wear and tear on components too since you don't need to use them and you can stop anywhere in the scenario, save it, and start right where you left off at a later time.
point 24:50 - with Scuttle's AH-1 you forgot to shot to the tank in the terrain exagon number 1 !!! It is not on cover - so... You could do such attack...
Being a new guy, thanks for your clear concise explanation during play, it helped me understand what was suppose to be happening. Great video!

You are a very good teacher. Very good!
great runthrough. Many thanks!
Fantastic video! I just got the game your walkthrough will really help me with my first game!
enjoyed your playthrough the canon damage for the infantry attack against scuttle was for A10 only
Other way around. The A-10 gets to ignore the cannon damage; all other aircraft take the damage.
Superb, thanks very much for the detailed turn ;)
I’m getting this game! Thanks for the walkthrough. Btw, what size card sleeves are you using?
Great video. May I ask which card sleeves you use? Not a fan of any sleeves I’ve found.
Thanks,great video..
