    Beginning of round 3: "There gonna destroy the apache."

    Mike does an awesome job of displaying a TAL play through showcasing the rules in a very condensed amount of time. Mike was also very kind in discussing rules with me in the comment section. If you are new to TAL or just want some TAL entertainment, I believe this is the best TAL video on RUclips. Give Mike a thumbs up if you liked his video.

    At 22:55 you could of fired Independent weapons into hex 8 along with hex 9 as Divot was hovering and can fire in any direction. (360 Degrees)
    Also at 25:35 you do not have to go to low altitude to target the enemy pop up Helicopter. The L on its counter is for line of sight so if behind a ridge and your also at low altitude you could not target him.
    Great playthrough as well.

    Using the cannon, you can only fire at one opponent in the hex. Also, hovering doesn't allow you to attack two hexes the same turn. Your attacks can only target one hex, with the exception of the high altitude guided missile. You can't combine a cannon with range missiles.

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  2 года назад +1

      If you have specific timestamps, I can look at which moments you mean. However, two rules to point out that might clarify some of your questions:
      Page 9 - Independent missiles can attack one unit outside the hex you are targeting. I thought these were what I used in the playthrough, but it's been a while so I might be wrong!
      Page 16 - A hovering unit can attack ALL units in its own hex with a cannon.
      If I still got things wrong, let me know the timestamps and I can add subtitled corrections. Thanks!

      @@OneStopCoopShop Hello, Mike. Thank you for responding to my comment. I found your play through to be very entertaining and informative. Also, you called me out on something I misinterpreted. So, let's explore.
      20:04 You are right, I thought you were saying you could attack every hex around you, not unit. Good call. And well executed. 21:48
      36:00 You don't take BINGO unless you remain on the board at the end of the turn in BINGO 6. That is why BINGO counters exist. See page 19, Place bingo 2nd paragraph.
      43:15 The attack should of been random, as all targets are the same distance away.
      46:00 I see you used independent missiles and the cannon. I don't think this is explained very well in the rules. Per page 16 Attack choices, it would seem that a cannon attack can only be operated alone, as you will need to direct the cannon fire. However, you did use independent missiles. I guess this could go either way depending on how restricted the cannon fire is.
      Thank you for answering my comment and clarifying rules will me. I'm sure you will find the bingo rule I pointed out giving you an extra turn to be very helpful. Good luck in your future gaming and thank you again for making gaming videos.
      Sincerely

      @@danieldwyer I'm not fully clear on what I did wrong at 36:00... can you explain a bit more? The paragraph you referenced says "If an Aircraft is still in a Hex when the Loiter Counter is moved into the “Bingo 6+” square", and my aircraft was definitely still in a hex... so rolling for bingo fuel was correct, right?
      I added a subtitle correction for the 43:15 targeting mistake. Thanks!
      And yeah, cannon and independent could be better clarified. I find that in a lot of rulebooks by Dan, even though I enjoy his games a lot!

    Just a question: can an aircraft attack, then move, then attack and finally move again? In pther words, is possible to split attacks among movements?

    • @OneStopCoopShop
      @OneStopCoopShop  2 года назад +2

      I don't believe you can do that. Here is the rules quote from page 15:
      "An Aircraft can Attack at any one time during its movement. An Aircraft can Attack before it moves, or the Aircraft can Attack after moving into any Hex during its movement."
      I read that as you get one single attack opportunity, so no move, attack once, move some more, attack again, etc.
