What seals/gaskets to you use on ctx to make it waterproof? Originals or the aftermarket ones?

      Good Morning Jarko!
I just use the supplied gaskets that came with the CTX-3030. Mine is the first run before the re-moded water sealing. I've not had an issue with water entry in either the USB port or the battery. I must admit that I don't hunt with it underwater but yes, as in this video, I do dunk it from time to time. I did purchase some extra battery gaskets but they were original Minelab gaskets. It's always a risk I guess that something may go wrong and a leak may develop. If I was big into water hunting as in underwater hunting, I'd buy a Fisher or the Excalibur. The CTX has a lot of "drag" in the water with its stock 11" coil and overall bulky design in my opinion. Now that winter has come to Northern Michigan, it's time to hunt some rivers with the waders. I'll post if I muster up the gumption to go! HH - Jason
