Hey Kyle, did a little research on Joe Brodowski for you. Joseph F. Brodowski was born 3/16/1916 and died 12/11/1998. He lived in Vassar, Tuscola, Michigan and is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Vassar. I’ll see what else I can find on him for you. I’m sure he has family in Vassar and that would be a great family heirloom if you would be willing to sell it or part with it. Enjoy your channel buddy!

Hey Kyle, this is "sass safrass" fellow rock lover and creek walker. Do believe the funnel looking dodad is from an old tin gas can. The pour spout. My pap was born in 1913 and had a bunch in the garage when I was growing up. Hope u had fun. I love it up there in the u.p. maybe one day u can visit the gitchee gumee agate museum in st Maris, and talk to the lady about the old copper mines. She knows some ppl that have claims out there. And the old mines always have interesting old bottles lying about and dumped. Not to mention the malachite azurite and other secondary minerals in those old mines. Good luck with everything!

Hi Kyle, I love learning from you, especially about fossils. But I gotta tell you, no matter how clear Michigan's waters may look, You couldn't get me to stick my face in it. I suppose that goes for any unknown body of water. To many pollutants where dumped into so many of Michigans waters during the 1960s and 1970s. I am glad to see your wearing a wet suit and gloves though. I walk rivers in my own state but with waterproof waders, gloves to protect from getting cut, and use a grabber to pick up items. I detect and collect. Well, I pretty much take anything I am able to lift up out of the water, especially if it is a known swimming spot. Glad to see you found so many cool finds. My favorite is the green bottle. Keep on keeping man!

the tube like piece you found. . . . .its one of the milking cups from the milkers used to milk cows. When they hook up a milker to a cow with a special belt in which the milkers are suspended, they hook up the suction hose that the compressor is sucking air. And they put a cows teat into each milking cup. There's usually only 4, one for each teat. The suction in the cups gentley sucks the milk from the teats. It takes about an hour+ when the udder is empty. As the teats are milked, they get smaller in length and will fall off the teat. They take the milker tank off the cow, pour it into a filtered milk can, and the compressor then sucks all that milk and puts it into the big milk cooler. My dad milked cows with his brother and dad twice a day. I forget how much milk the milker tanks hold. Depends on the cows udder size and breed, one milking can produce about 20-30 gallons. I think the milkers hold 40 gal.
I don't know if dairies still use this system or not for a small operation. But to get top dollar for the milk, and qualify for Grade A milk, dairies had to convert to a newer system, still uses the milking cups, but there's no milking tank, the milk goes straight from the cow to the big cooler.

Joseph F. Brodowski was 33 years old in 1950. Living in Vassar and was from New York. His occupation was “metal bumper” and location was “garage”. Not sure if that means his garage or another. From 1950 census.

Check the banks for green and blue mason jars. Frequently tossed over the edge of rivers

The item that you said might be for a car, might also possibly be a part of a beer tap!

When you pulled out the brick it reminded me of my own brick story.
Born in Buffalo NY, moved to Canton OH when I was 2. Grew up. 10 years ago I found out there were fossils in Buffalo. Summer of 2023, we went to Buffalo to fossil hunt and found a brick in the creek.
    Metropolitan
    Block
    Canton O
Of course I brought it back home to where it was born 😅
It's beautiful. I wish I could post the pictures of it
