Noise modifiers are CRAZY powerful! They're great for adding a bit of motion to a camera, but also, like, everything else, too.

Ah yes, the three axes: Y, X, and Y.
BLARGHE. How did I not notice that???
What did you mean? YXZ, or ZXY?
@@tekartsu2051 Y, X and Y.
@@tekartsu2051 YXZ! side-to-side is important, but compared to the other two, it doesn't really seem to affect the feel as much.
@@IanHubert2 found you here somehow.., Now Pin This! >:D

You’re blessing us twice within 24 hrs? Is this real?
haha was looking for this comment
@Antojnaje why would you think we celebrate chrismas in january?
*what is happening??*
Or is it just fantasy?
0:56 when you've explained literally everything about camera movement in one minute but you still have a few seconds left for the video
"Cause I know how to make sandwiches, weeeeeeee make them from baloney"
@@julians3danimations this still lives rent free in my head
I need the complete song, where is this from?
i beg you, my dude, make a movie. your animation skills? meme material. your 3d skills? actual best i've seen. insanely realistic. your humor? goofy and lovable.
i'd love like, a goofy short series if you ever find the time
AH! That's awesome! Most of the random clips in these things are actually for a webseries I'm hoping to start releasing in a month or so here! Been working on it like crazy for the past couple years!
@@IanHubert2 Ooh, I support the hell out of this, can't wait! Good luck!
@@IanHubert2 A MONTH! Yesss, Ian Hubert blesses us DYNAMO fans with an approximation!
IanHubert can we have a lazy tutorial on how to watch it when it comes out?
@@IanHubert2 yaaay! omg that rocks! I love your stuff! cant wait to watch it :3
Y is the key to an insane character.
*Snaps neck*
Could you tell us how to do weather effects like rain/snow/hail in a lazy way?
I can't for the life of me figure out how to do so without taking hours in the process.
Take an isosphere. Stretch it real far in the Z. Scale the whole thing down to make a tiny fast rain drop. Give it a glass material, or if you want it to render faster make it transparent with a grey color. Add a plane above your scene. Set it to be a particle emitter. Go to particle settings and make the particles look like that raindrop. Mess around with the settings until it looks right. To add puddles, make the plane a dynamic paint brush in the physics tab. Make sure you set the source to particlebsystem. Make your ground a dynamic paint canvas and set the surface type to waves. If you read this far check out my gumroad, everything there is free. gumroad.com/m1lkweed
@@m1lkweed Do you write Ian's scripts because jesus I just read everything in his voice and it's so convincing
G A Z E I tried to mimic him as best as I could.
(Ian hire me if you're reading this)
And moths
@@m1lkweed It took me 5-minutes to read that! ;-)
Seriously though, I love Ian's tutorials! We're so blessed that he takes the time to help the Blender community the way he does!
Two tutorials back to back? Look at this guy sharing all the KNOWLEDGE!
I spend 10 minutes only to read comments.
Same here bro
I tried doing the y
Don’t make my mistake
What about those pole targets? (All the guys at the Blender institute giggle)
y not
the Y axis is the key to your camera looking as if it was attached to the end of a running hydraulic hammer.
Dang it man. I was just about to skype my Grandma and you uploaded again
Awww poor Grandma! Saw you on the last vid lol
@@AnswersRule Well, that was someone else. Bad week for grandmas

Me: god.... Why can't I animate natural idle aninations?
IanHubert:
Ian has a tutorial on that too
Relatable
Wat! Ian has a tutorial on how to animate god!?!
2 lazy tutorials in 10 hours? It must be a lazy day for Ian
Someone's out there already making a 10-hour tutorial... and it's the first part!
0:58 my sleep paralysis demon
If there was a Demom with that voice dancing in the dark corner i would enjoy it
cuz I know how to make the sandwiches
aaaand we make them from baloney
are these tutorials animated with the noise modifiers, Ian?
hahaha I'm on noise modifiers too
Woah man, these are some *strong* noise modifiers, man.
*snorts noise modifiers*
I've heard from Corridor on youtube that you can also add two noises over each other, one wider and one more narrow. That simulates the axes of the arm and wrist and makes it look more natural. Or so I've been told
Seems like too much work
which video
A cool animator: Custom animate different bones
Ian:NOISE
This is possibly the most useful minute of my life
Wow fantastic, I always resorted to AE for camera shake but doing it in Blender like this looks way better.
wait wtf, you are a modellere/animator too?
Love your content bro, great music!
@@ishitrealbad3039 Hah thanks dude. Yeah a lot of the recent stuff on our Channel is created in Blender.
@@cryochamberlabel wow i literally listen to your music when im working on a blender project!!
Is it legal to upload two videos this close together
yes
I've used this a lot , but the tips for what Y and X are good for ard really helpful !!!
hi, modifier is not showing in my dope sheet, do you know why?
@@PramodShetty
Graph editor not dope sheet > select one keyframe on the curve you want modified (you do need to make a key frame to modify the curve) > look at the side panel in the graph editor ,look for modifiers , if you do not see the side panel hit the "n" key, the side panel will pop up.
@@bDwS27 thanks got it
0:56 ah yes now i know how to animate my sleep paralysis demons
I'm not a cg person but this makes me see like thousand times
You're the reason I keep chasing this dream in my head, slowly painting it into blender and hopefully into reality with your awesome tutorials my man
These tutorials have given me so much joy and creativity. Rock on, dude 👊
TWO VIDEO IN ONE DAY? Man Christmas feels like yesterday.
TOO POWERFUL - it's a description of all the Lazy Tutorials series. Way too powerful.
Ian Hubert: keep the y axis subtle, altho it can be the key to making a camera feel weightless if your flying
ALSO Ian Hubert: y-axis is the key to NOTHING!
“cuz I know how to make the sandwiches and weeee make them from bologna”
🤣
Why is that I learn way more from you in 60seconds than I do watching anyone else
dude I'm not even using Blender anymore but I keep watching those gems.
I don’t know what that thing at the end is but holy sh*t. It activated my fight for flight.
2 POSTS IN A WEEK, ITS A MIRACLE
I just want to say thank you from everyone that thought CG was difficult but you making these Lazy Tutorials really allow for the what was thought to be impossible become a cake walk.
the noise modifier on the bones just BLEW MY MIND !
Whoa two videos in the same 24 hr time frame???? Dude!!! You're spoiling us bro!!
I cannot get enough of your videos. I probably watch each one 4x a session, not really because it was hard to follow, it was just so darn entertaining. Thanks, seriously!
"why is it hidden...CUZ ITS TOO POWERFUL"

I don't know what the world did to deserve you. This is TREASURE!
Was NOT expecting another upload for another week or two. This is a gift.
You gave us the best short tutorial covering everything and explaining everything
Other youtubers also copied you but they were covering less topics with fast and unclear voice
But yours is too clear to understand and covers everything with proper voice speed
I never used blender. I have no idea about creating animation. But I love watching your videos.
I can't get enough of these lazy tutorials! They're fun, quick, and very interesting.
Randomly found you on a seminar video and i regret nothing you beautiful bastard
If anything, these tutorials taught me that high poly doesn't equal photoreal. And in fact, all my work that I wanted to achieve photorealism ended up being low poly. its great.
Sometimes I just watch you video not to learn but because you're fun.
Your animation tutorials are the best
That depth of field trick with the empty... genius
Ok I'm so late. You're one of the best blender tutorials uploader out there
I've been learning blender for only 3 weeks! I thought this would be confusing but it made a surprising amount of sense and now I have a subtle (as subtle as I can make it) camera shake for my POV shot!!! Yaay! Thank you so much!!!
I can't express how helpful these lazy tutorials are. If you made 100 of them, I would still be eager for more. Very entertaining as well.
THANK YOU FOR MAKING THE CAMERA SHAKIFY ADDON
I used to search for tutorials and watch them for hours, but now I that found yours, I just watch those. You are one of the greatest artists for me! Don’t stop with all that fun and teaching blender stuff
That throwback at the end there, to the second video of yours I ever watched.... holy shit what a throwback
the ending- i...
*subbed,* quality content and nightmares at the same time.. _perfect_
You are starting the year hard and powerful.
These are by far the best video tutorials i've seen
I've been swearing by this technique ever since I found it years ago, works like magic!
Although I wish there was a way to save these graph editor modifier options, so we can just load them up for the camera with each new scene.
Additionally, shaky camera adds more "dynamism" to a scene even if the camera is slowly moving from one point to another in a straight line.
And bonus dynamoism
That thing at the end was horrifying xD
!!!TOO POWERFUL!!!
Holy shit. I was manually moving the camera to simulate shake at certain points, but this is way more efficient.
Never clicked that fast
this is just A M A Z I N G. 1 minute andyou've explained EVERYTHING thanks thanks thanks
this is my favorite 1 minute tutorial
You're doing an insane contribution to the community. Please don't stop! Thank you very much
Boy, I've been waiting the whole year for this. Thanks for the best kind of edutainment, Ian!
I keep playing the video to listen to the high pitched "and haeeeire we go" :D
When Im down and running out of ideas..i watch your video ...hilarious yet informative!..lol
Addon is great, no doubt.. but when you can understand how it works.. wow, there's a new abilities to change it exactly how you need)
Noise is like the key to life
Now I regret not buying the whole VFX bundle on Humble Bundle :C those explosions are beautiful haha
2 lazy tutorials in less than a week, man this is not lazy anymore ^^
Miss these tutorials
Sometimes I feel your videos are like an animated, very informational, meme
This should be mandatory viewing for artists , because we've all seen REALLY BAD fake-shake to cover up sloppy cgi. You know what I'm talking about, that mathematical sliding camera effect that all 2000s scifi shows would use
2 of these in 24 hours?? I'm living
Just what I need! Thank you m8 don’t stop upload
I don't even use blender, I just watch these videos cuz they're hilarious.
This is exactly what I've been looking for, especially that blur effect. THANK YOU!
Ian Hubert IS... like, unquestionably... by FAR, probably the most incredible Blender Animator, compositor and VFX artist I think I have ever encountered... His shots of cityscapes, machines and machinery, his design, his camera work. There is far, too much realism occurring. He has gone beyond overloading his work with excess, EVERYTHING and found the sweet-spot for what makes something look real and convincing and not just overly-FX'ed or convoluted. His work is so amazing, it makes me feel light-headed watching it. And then, he keeps making these tuts. Proof that God exists and is gracious to us in many forms. God bless, Ian Hubert. He'll never know the impact of his sharing of knowledge. I hope he will, someday, though.
...and on top of all this, he's freakin' insanely, hilarious
Two uploads in less then 8 hours! Stop it! You're spoiling us with your amazing content!!!
lmao that idle animation looks great
Thank you for making a blender tutorial so short I can watch it while waiting for my car to warm up and still learn something super useful.
Two tutorials in one day? Unbelievable!
I LOVE THIS DUDES BRAIN.
I like that you use Blender to show teach Blender, but like the fx
Your tutorials are the only ones that make me laugh. I always love it when you upload.
Dude, you're absolutely brilliant. Thanks for existing.
Dude, i animate idle movement like an hour, and you animate the crab just few button away.... You awesome men
two in one day? WOW! Also..wicked impressive!
"Why is it hidden. Because it's too powerful" FIRE effects. OMG I'm laughing
The tutorial opened my eyes to noise modifier functions I didn't know existed.
But damn. I've rewatched the video like 4 times already to see A) that amazingly realistic store and B)the end segment. It's a work of wonder ;w;
The Y axis is used usually when the camera. At times when a space ship leaves ground to emphasize how strong the force is, or an explosion
I am very very very happy i found your channel. Definitely a shortage of stylized blender vfx tutorials
Haze/Smoke!! Thanks man, I love your tutorials
Ok, so I used this tutorial like 3 times already and noticed I didn't smash that like. It deserves it so bad.
