For those of you having trouble getting Nepheli and Kenneth to move to Throne room. Go to Lake Facing Cliffs Grace and rest. Then go back to Throne room and they should have moved
I also couldn’t get mine to move. What I did is attack Ken, make sure not to kill him if you’ve leveled up a lot lol, then go talk to Nephili(not sure if you have to talk to her). She will then move to castle throne room. Then go to church of vows to remove your sin. Kenneth will also move once she does. That’s how I finally go it to happen. I happened upon by mistake bc I forgot to absolve my sin bc of distraction IRL.

I'm just curious why no one is talking about what the game developer put in the game to help you find the path. The path is faintly lit by fog. I used helpers like this on the first play through but I noticed the fog on the 2nd and on the 3rd it's super easy.
PSA concerning the invisible bridge (and all ledges in general): you will not fall down any ledge, including invisible ones, when you're attacking. Normally, attacking will also involve a slight movement forwards, but this movement will only carry you over cliffs that lead to a non-deadly fall! So you can actually simply find the invisible stairs by attacking to the side of the bridge. Once you're on it the white glow will reliably reveal the path up.
For the invisible bridge at 27:30, if you go to the front gate of the tower first and then examine the imp statue holding the book, the game gives you a faint snowy trail leading up to the tower. That is the "canon" way of getting up there I suppose.
Don’t know if Cowboy covered this and I forget or if this was common knowledge, but at around 33:00 in this episode and back in the lakes of Liurnia, you’ll probably notice what I can only describe as hot air balloons floating around. Well, shooting them with an arrow or a spell 1 shots the balloon and nets you a rune 12 up here and a 10 back in liurnia
For anyone playing 1.5, I decided to go back to murkwater cave and low and behold there was the misty door to click on and a chest to be opened. It triggered patches and he dances around you a bit but then realizes who it is and surrendered. Now he has a permanent shop in the cave
A tip for fighting Rykard. Grab the serpent hunter, leave the area and go to the round table hold, upgrade it until it’s +9, come back and turn him into Swiss cheese
Cowboy: "you can just kill this guy now, he doesn't give you anything special." *40-50 episodes later* Cowboy: "if you didn't kill him he sells you another Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone for a +25" *keep in mind this a joke...*
@@DavidRomanKC he was referring to gustoc, the guys in stormveil castle who tells you about the shortcut right at the start. If you leave that guy alive, you can buy a +25 smithing stone. Goes with the territory of doing amazing walkthroughs, but as time passes and patches are implemented a lot of cowboys recommendations will be wrong, just comes with the territory of making definitive comments after the game only being out for a few months.
Rykard fight is actually one of the best place to utilize the starlight shards you've collected, especially if you are going with a low mind build. The constant FP regen from the shard coupled with the low FP cost of the weapon art ensures that you can spam it easily.
Nah, just allocate more flasks to fp ones. And you don't even need to do that, the R1 (it's like 3 or 4 thrusts) and jumping R2 are very good, don't need to spam the ash of war. Save the fp to phase 2 if you intend to use the ash of war tho, as that phase is more of a race, you wanna kill him before he starts spamming the skulls.
Can’t believe how much harder it is to max a normal smithing stone weapon compared to somber. 2 min into this video and you break a statue for smithing 7. Been waiting on my last couple 8s since for half the game. Meanwhile somber maxed at liurnia
For those wanting a better method to locate the stairs, use hoarfrost stomp: 1) if you aim to empty air and you're somewhat close to the edge, no icicles at all. 2) the icicles will show up slanting up when the ramp (it's not actually a staircase), that way, guaranteed: where icicles pop-up, there you can continue walking.
After you talk to Patches in the Shaded Castle, reset the area, see that he's gone, and go back to the boss room of Murkwater Cave. I had to go through the chest trap, go back again, and there's a fogwall. Go through it, search the chest, and Patches will drop down like the first time. Fight him down to 1/2 health and he'll surrender, you'll get a new emote, and if you reset again he'll sell you stuff again at that spot.
If you run out of stones for the invisible bridge, you can use the ancestral infant head. The magic it spews clings to solid floors and will light the way.
17:30 for those who already opened the doors and Kenneth won’t move, go out to his fort and punch him until hostile, then go absolve with a celestial dew, and return to the Godrick the Grafted grace and rest once more, this should move the npcs into place
Surprisingly effective. I took some guilty pleasure in backstabbing him with a fist. But keep him alive, teleport to the Grafted, rest and there they be. Thanks much for pointing that out.
i do not know if anyone has said this but if you are having trouble on rykard you can level up the serpent hunter aswell as during the second from u can stack up on his body and you should be fine

I’ve only used it for 2 minutes since acquiring the weapon in this video but I have to say that Blasphemous Blade might be the best weapon in the game. Will have to compare it to Moonveil eventually but certainly no worse than my Bloodhound’s Fang.
I'm not blaming cowboy given the depth of the game and how much work Cowboy has put into it but NGL I'm a bit salty I followed the guide, killed Gostoc and missing out on the ancient dragon smithing stone 😭
At the time of record9ng everyone's opinion was to kill that nov because he would skim your runes when you died. After later patches came out he was turned into a vendor of sorts
To finish patches quest after patch 1.08 return to murkwater cave. Go open the chest and you will be transported away. Return to murkwater cave again and there should be boss fog. Go in open the chest he attacks you for a second then surrenders. Then you get his crouch position then you can kill him and get his items
Big thanks too you cowboy! I never had the guts to play through a souls game. But elden ring is too much too miss. So i started following your guide after radaahn, thats where this whole game got too damn confusing for me. But after following your guide, and leveling up so i am 50 over you(i dont have your skill) I am enjoying this game a whole lot more!
If for some reason that doesn’t work like for me I passed time and they still didn’t show up save/quit and reload your character. That is what worked for me.
Another couple things I did after passing several days in game that I think helped: Warped to Secluded Cell and walked to Godrick grace, and rested facing away from Gostoc
Patches is back in Murkwater Cave after the Rykard and the bridge. Chest with shamefull guddies to be found again. You can kill him for armor set and Spear + his Bellbearing
Now past patch 1.08 and the Kenneth/Nepheli quest is still bugged. Opening the double doors in Stormveil and resting at the Godrick grace did not reveal the two NPC's. However, teleporting to 'Secluded Cell' then running out did remove Gostoc and moved the necessary NPC's to the throne room.
Note for anyone not seeing Nepheli or Kenneth at Stormveil after 1.04: open the door at Godrick’s grace, go talk to them again (Table of Lost Grace and Fort Haight respectively), then travel back to Godrick’s grace and pass time until noon. They should appear by the throne.
For those having issues with nephali moving to, godricks castle.. 1. Go to the blefries, use the gate on the right lower mountain. With an imbued stone sword key 2. Once it teleports you back to the start of Eden ring, run up the bridge to the castle. Go to the right side door. 3. Get the hawk ashes, on the outside then run in and get the chest 4 go back to nepahli, at the table of lost grace give it to her… once she starts repeating the same line. 5 gp to the grace lake facing cliffs rest.. The go to godrick the grafted graces… and she should be in their waiting for you… Upvote if this helped you. It will help others
8:26 - "Kinda hard to miss it" Actually, on my first blind playthrough back when the game was released, I missed the weapon. I fought Rykard for 3 days straight lol
i changed from strength to faith since i was using ruins gs and its so heavy that some high mobility enemies are hard to hit and i've never played faith build in any souls games so worth the try
For those like myself who got impatient and killed Rykard early, you can still get tha talisman from the invasion Cowboy does in this episode by going to volcano manner and going to where Bernal was. It should be on the table. Don't know about the raging wolf set though.
Might be a late comment, or repeat, but I was playing a faith build and wanted the Blasphemous Blade a little earlier, so I killed Rykard before getting to Mountaintops of the Giants (meaning I killed Hoslow after Tanith was gone). I returned to the manor after killing Hoslow and the Takers Cameo was on the table in the drawing room.
For those having trouble getting Nepheli and the other 2 NPC's to spawn in the throne room, here's what worked. Go to the Stormvale castle rest site where you defeated Godrick and rest until NOON. You can't just rest and get up. You have to pass time until noon. If it worked, you won't see the merchant stomping on Godrick's corpse and all 3 NPC's should now be in the thrown room.
I like to play along "ahead" of ur walkthrough and then watch what I missed. Spent 3 attempts fighting rykard legit and finally succeeded with just proper summon and flask timing on the second stage. I watch this and realize I just walked past the solution to the fight lmao.
You can have Blasphemous Blade on your off hand, without even meeting stat requirements and you'll still have the passive effect of health on kill, even using your other weapon in both hands
Just one thing, I dont know if this has been patched, but once you beat the fire giant, invasions will no longer be triggerd. Thats how i missed one of the katanas on my first playtrough.
32:52 Every air balloon you shoot will yield a golden rune 12, the first time only. Also, Patches did not re-open his shop for me when I found him in Murk-Cave. He just repeats the same sentence.

I fucked up big time and I quit to reload after panicking and hearing I needed the serpent-hunter equipped before getting my mimic out but I summoned mimic before grabbing it, and after reloading I couldn’t find the it anywhere! I can’t be the only one, Please check your inventory, I struggled for far too long on this bossfight without the serpent-hunter for absolutely no reason, do not make the same mistake Moral of the story is, don’t panic, look in your inventory it an item “disappears”
28:00 A better approach to this invisible bridge thing will be actually to use the ash of war "Hoarfrost stomp " (if you have it) , thus use that as you move along the bridge and then near to the end turn left then start using this ash of war at some distance gaps and you will find the way easliy , I easly got up there(and very fast)
I fought Rykard with the blood hound blade because I was impatient didn’t even think of using the blade they give you right there. I had such a tough time too 😭

I personally don't think it's worth it to infuse the fingerprint shield unless you are going to be regularly using it as a weapon, especially after the nerf. Drops down to 95 physical instead of 100 and drops guard boost from 87 to 81. Also it prevents using Scholar's Shield which only requires 12 int to cast and basically turns this thing into a OP tank. Or even just using shield grease, which you can easily farm the ingredients for. This ain't a shield for people that primarily two hand their weapon. Love this guide though, such a massive help. Amazing work brother.
I’m really liking your walkthrough. It’s my first souls like game. I go into areas blind, run around and then check back to see what I missed. When it came to Rykard, all I can say is my mimic is one tough lady! When I got there, I picked up the weapon. Assumed it would be heavy (I’m playing what I think is called an Int/dex build) so I took off all my weapons. Popped the mimic and thought “where is her cool weapon I just picked up?” Realised I hadn’t equipped it yet 😂 So while I’m killing him with the weapon, she runs in and starts punching him with her fists! She is tough AF 😂 Beat him first try and she survived the entire time, not doing much damage just whacking him with her fists. It was so funny 🤣
2024 and no ancient stone for me since I followed this walkthrough since ep1. V annoying. Great walkthrough despite the things I missed out on. Does not completing Nephellis quest line affect your platinum??
Damn, I paused the video before you fought rykard so I could go in blind. I didn't know you were supposed to equip the serpent slayer, I fought him with my own weapon and won first try. I thought I just did that little of damage intentionally.
just letting everyone know I beat Rykard when i first got to volcano manor to get the Blasphemous Blade as long as you have the bounties active before you fight them you still get the armor and petal whip you don't have to wait to kill him
Just had the biggest derp moment of my entire time playing FromSoft games against Rykard, went ahead and fought him before seeing the fight because I'd heard how much of a spectacle it is, but for whatever reason I assumed you could only do damage with the special attack, I just ignored the fact that it had a normal moveset to use, damn thing killed me 4 times before I realised how dumb I was being. He actually killed me more times than Radahn, Morgott, Renala and Godrick combined...! So stupid
If someone struggles with the invasion @4:40, Nagakiba is a fast weapon, which worked well. I also applied Blood Blade and used the Double Slash war ash. Good luck. Besides, I am getting better with parrying :D
I know this video is old but do not kill Fire Giant before going to the church or repose. If you beat the boss first the invasion that gets you the rivers of blood katana won’t spawn. This happened on my first play through and I was playing a katana dex build 🤦🏻♂️.
For those having trouble to find the "invisible staircase" on the invisible bridge, use your camera and look for a light blue haze in the air. This is the staircase.
For those looking for patches again I stumbled upon him in the Muckwater Cave(NE of first steps grace), and he tries to attack you again and then cowers..p
Incase like me you are coming to the game late. I went back to the fort, spoke with Kenny, then talked to gidion , when I came back they were in throne room
The only npc I bothered killing at all was lady Tanith, mainly because that was really weird and discusting her eating Rykards body, and Dung eater. Since he drops his armor and sword and is easy to take out. Strangely enough, I didn't need to get my sins absolved and the church of vowes after killing Dung eater. That sword of Milose he drops is a really cool and strong weapon to use. These walk throughs have been so helpful, thank you.
Patches is the only one I killed. I intended to leave him alive but I was Bloodfang stepping into him and didn't realize how low his health was nor did I hear him pleading to stop. Don't think I missed anything important with his quest from what I can tell. He doesn't sell anything that special.
After the bridge encounter Patches will be at murkwater cave (the cave where you meet him the first time around limgrave) you will fight him and you can leave him alive.
For the invisible staircase, there is a faint blue fog that you will be able to see as you walk across the bridge in either direction. I saw it and I had not yet interacted with the riddle, so it seems like it's visible all the time.
If you really want a melee heal build, use takers cameo, blasphemers blade (in off hand or on back, rikard's great rune, and put great stars in main hand. You'll be healing and smashing all day. Also golden land should gain a heal with each hit when on Great stars. Ntm the healing when using the ash of war from blasphemers blade. If you're really struggling and running out of health flasks, try that build.
I had to complete the nephelli questline in order for me to get her to move to the roundtable hold. there was a boss in the village of albernics I had to beat in order for me to give her the storm hawk ash. So if your having trouble try completing that.. Also dont forget to speak to gideon once you beat that boss in the area.

Nepheli quest bugged out for me too. I ended up going to the Chapel of Anticipation by way of Four Belfries to check on the Stormhawk ashes. There wasn't any as I was sure I already given the ashes to Nepheli. Thinking I was stuck, I went back to the Stormveil throne room anyway and she was there with Kenneth.
There is another trick to the invisible stairs, however I am not sure it is there unless you have been to the front door first and checked out the riddle. If you keep the camera pointing at the tower or the rock it is sitting on, you can see a faint trace of fog that marks out where the stairs are. To get to the front door if needed, you will need to head west from the First Church of Marika grace (which is located at the far end of the Frozen Lake) and go past the grave yard with dogs and hit the 'air current' and from there (near the Evergoal) head north.
side note, if you dont kill Gostoc, you need to talk to him before getting Nepheli to spawn infront of the throne after doing everything else in the walkthrough

A tip for fighting Rykard. Grab the serpent hunter, leave the area and go to the round table hold, upgrade it until it’s +9, come back and turn him into Swiss cheese
thats what I did too. im so mad this weapon only does that wind attack only for this fight. I wish that was the ash of war but obviously toned down.
Also use a shield. The SH light attacks are faster when you use a shield, and are all you need.

@@DavidRomanKC he was referring to gustoc, the guys in stormveil castle who tells you about the shortcut right at the start. If you leave that guy alive, you can buy a +25 smithing stone. Goes with the territory of doing amazing walkthroughs, but as time passes and patches are implemented a lot of cowboys recommendations will be wrong, just comes with the territory of making definitive comments after the game only being out for a few months.

Rykard fight is actually one of the best place to utilize the starlight shards you've collected, especially if you are going with a low mind build. The constant FP regen from the shard coupled with the low FP cost of the weapon art ensures that you can spam it easily.
Nah, just allocate more flasks to fp ones. And you don't even need to do that, the R1 (it's like 3 or 4 thrusts) and jumping R2 are very good, don't need to spam the ash of war. Save the fp to phase 2 if you intend to use the ash of war tho, as that phase is more of a race, you wanna kill him before he starts spamming the skulls.
Can’t believe how much harder it is to max a normal smithing stone weapon compared to somber. 2 min into this video and you break a statue for smithing 7. Been waiting on my last couple 8s since for half the game. Meanwhile somber maxed at liurnia

For those wanting a better method to locate the stairs, use hoarfrost stomp: 1) if you aim to empty air and you're somewhat close to the edge, no icicles at all. 2) the icicles will show up slanting up when the ramp (it's not actually a staircase), that way, guaranteed: where icicles pop-up, there you can continue walking.

After you talk to Patches in the Shaded Castle, reset the area, see that he's gone, and go back to the boss room of Murkwater Cave. I had to go through the chest trap, go back again, and there's a fogwall. Go through it, search the chest, and Patches will drop down like the first time. Fight him down to 1/2 health and he'll surrender, you'll get a new emote, and if you reset again he'll sell you stuff again at that spot.
If you run out of stones for the invisible bridge, you can use the ancestral infant head. The magic it spews clings to solid floors and will light the way.

17:30 for those who already opened the doors and Kenneth won’t move, go out to his fort and punch him until hostile, then go absolve with a celestial dew, and return to the Godrick the Grafted grace and rest once more, this should move the npcs into place

Surprisingly effective. I took some guilty pleasure in backstabbing him with a fist. But keep him alive, teleport to the Grafted, rest and there they be. Thanks much for pointing that out.

i do not know if anyone has said this but if you are having trouble on rykard you can level up the serpent hunter aswell as during the second from u can stack up on his body and you should be fine

I’ve only used it for 2 minutes since acquiring the weapon in this video but I have to say that Blasphemous Blade might be the best weapon in the game. Will have to compare it to Moonveil eventually but certainly no worse than my Bloodhound’s Fang.
I'm not blaming cowboy given the depth of the game and how much work Cowboy has put into it but NGL I'm a bit salty I followed the guide, killed Gostoc and missing out on the ancient dragon smithing stone 😭

At the time of record9ng everyone's opinion was to kill that nov because he would skim your runes when you died. After later patches came out he was turned into a vendor of sorts
To finish patches quest after patch 1.08 return to murkwater cave. Go open the chest and you will be transported away. Return to murkwater cave again and there should be boss fog. Go in open the chest he attacks you for a second then surrenders. Then you get his crouch position then you can kill him and get his items

So i started following your guide after radaahn, thats where this whole game got too damn confusing for me. But after following your guide, and leveling up so i am 50 over you(i dont have your skill) I am enjoying this game a whole lot more!
If you don’t see the npc’s in the throne move keep passing the time.

If for some reason that doesn’t work like for me I passed time and they still didn’t show up save/quit and reload your character. That is what worked for me.
Couple of rests and quit outs made them move to the throne
Another couple things I did after passing several days in game that I think helped: Warped to Secluded Cell and walked to Godrick grace, and rested facing away from Gostoc

Patches is back in Murkwater Cave after the Rykard and the bridge. Chest with shamefull guddies to be found again. You can kill him for armor set and Spear + his Bellbearing
Now past patch 1.08 and the Kenneth/Nepheli quest is still bugged. Opening the double doors in Stormveil and resting at the Godrick grace did not reveal the two NPC's. However, teleporting to 'Secluded Cell' then running out did remove Gostoc and moved the necessary NPC's to the throne room.
For the invisible steps I used arrows to get the line sight. Awesome series CB man what a doozy of a walk through.
Note for anyone not seeing Nepheli or Kenneth at Stormveil after 1.04: open the door at Godrick’s grace, go talk to them again (Table of Lost Grace and Fort Haight respectively), then travel back to Godrick’s grace and pass time until noon. They should appear by the throne.

For those having issues with nephali moving to, godricks castle..
1. Go to the blefries, use the gate on the right lower mountain. With an imbued stone sword key
2. Once it teleports you back to the start of Eden ring, run up the bridge to the castle. Go to the right side door.
3. Get the hawk ashes, on the outside then run in and get the chest
4 go back to nepahli, at the table of lost grace give it to her… once she starts repeating the same line.
5 gp to the grace lake facing cliffs rest..
The go to godrick the grafted graces… and she should be in their waiting for you…

Blasphemous Blade is amazing as a faith user. Immediately upgraded it to plus 9 and I am ready for anything left.
i changed from strength to faith since i was using ruins gs and its so heavy that some high mobility enemies are hard to hit and i've never played faith build in any souls games so worth the try
For those like myself who got impatient and killed Rykard early, you can still get tha talisman from the invasion Cowboy does in this episode by going to volcano manner and going to where Bernal was. It should be on the table.
Don't know about the raging wolf set though.
Might be a late comment, or repeat, but I was playing a faith build and wanted the Blasphemous Blade a little earlier, so I killed Rykard before getting to Mountaintops of the Giants (meaning I killed Hoslow after Tanith was gone). I returned to the manor after killing Hoslow and the Takers Cameo was on the table in the drawing room.

For those having trouble getting Nepheli and the other 2 NPC's to spawn in the throne room, here's what worked. Go to the Stormvale castle rest site where you defeated Godrick and rest until NOON. You can't just rest and get up. You have to pass time until noon. If it worked, you won't see the merchant stomping on Godrick's corpse and all 3 NPC's should now be in the thrown room.

I like to play along "ahead" of ur walkthrough and then watch what I missed. Spent 3 attempts fighting rykard legit and finally succeeded with just proper summon and flask timing on the second stage. I watch this and realize I just walked past the solution to the fight lmao.
If anyone is short of stone and playing ofline, use horfrost stomp..this will also show the path
You can have Blasphemous Blade on your off hand, without even meeting stat requirements and you'll still have the passive effect of health on kill, even using your other weapon in both hands

I dont know if this has been patched, but once you beat the fire giant, invasions will no longer be triggerd.
Thats how i missed one of the katanas on my first playtrough.

I fucked up big time and I quit to reload after panicking and hearing I needed the serpent-hunter equipped before getting my mimic out but I summoned mimic before grabbing it, and after reloading I couldn’t find the it anywhere! I can’t be the only one, Please check your inventory, I struggled for far too long on this bossfight without the serpent-hunter for absolutely no reason, do not make the same mistake
Moral of the story is, don’t panic, look in your inventory it an item “disappears”

28:00 A better approach to this invisible bridge thing will be actually to use the ash of war "Hoarfrost stomp " (if you have it) , thus use that as you move along the bridge and then near to the end turn left then start using this ash of war at some distance gaps and you will find the way easliy , I easly got up there(and very fast)
If you don't have any glow stones then you can use a bow to search for the path because the arrows will stick where its safe to walk
I fought Rykard with the blood hound blade because I was impatient didn’t even think of using the blade they give you right there. I had such a tough time too 😭
The blade that they supposedly give you is not there for me. Any idea why not?

I personally don't think it's worth it to infuse the fingerprint shield unless you are going to be regularly using it as a weapon, especially after the nerf. Drops down to 95 physical instead of 100 and drops guard boost from 87 to 81. Also it prevents using Scholar's Shield which only requires 12 int to cast and basically turns this thing into a OP tank. Or even just using shield grease, which you can easily farm the ingredients for. This ain't a shield for people that primarily two hand their weapon. Love this guide though, such a massive help. Amazing work brother.

PSA: the invisible bridge has a very faint blue light that you can follow to avoid falling off, didnt use a single stone!
When going up the staircase there’s a slight mist you can follow. They never had that in the other souls lol
I’m really liking your walkthrough. It’s my first souls like game. I go into areas blind, run around and then check back to see what I missed. When it came to Rykard, all I can say is my mimic is one tough lady! When I got there, I picked up the weapon. Assumed it would be heavy (I’m playing what I think is called an Int/dex build) so I took off all my weapons. Popped the mimic and thought “where is her cool weapon I just picked up?” Realised I hadn’t equipped it yet 😂 So while I’m killing him with the weapon, she runs in and starts punching him with her fists! She is tough AF 😂 Beat him first try and she survived the entire time, not doing much damage just whacking him with her fists. It was so funny 🤣
The crucible knight can be cheesed using the Fingerprint Greatshield and the Serpent Hunter+8.
Just a Tip. Hoarfrost Stop reveals hidden walkways faster and easier =)

Patches returns to Murkwater Cave. Same deal. Beat him down to below half and gives up. Sets up a store again.
Damn, I paused the video before you fought rykard so I could go in blind. I didn't know you were supposed to equip the serpent slayer, I fought him with my own weapon and won first try. I thought I just did that little of damage intentionally.
just letting everyone know I beat Rykard when i first got to volcano manor to get the Blasphemous Blade as long as you have the bounties active before you fight them you still get the armor and petal whip you don't have to wait to kill him
Just had the biggest derp moment of my entire time playing FromSoft games against Rykard, went ahead and fought him before seeing the fight because I'd heard how much of a spectacle it is, but for whatever reason I assumed you could only do damage with the special attack, I just ignored the fact that it had a normal moveset to use, damn thing killed me 4 times before I realised how dumb I was being. He actually killed me more times than Radahn, Morgott, Renala and Godrick combined...! So stupid
Finding the hidden stairs is easier with bow and arrow, shoot around and the arrows will stick to the stairs.
If someone struggles with the invasion @4:40, Nagakiba is a fast weapon, which worked well. I also applied Blood Blade and used the Double Slash war ash. Good luck. Besides, I am getting better with parrying :D

I know this video is old but do not kill Fire Giant before going to the church or repose. If you beat the boss first the invasion that gets you the rivers of blood katana won’t spawn. This happened on my first play through and I was playing a katana dex build 🤦🏻♂️.
Don't forget to pop a Gold-Pickled Foul Foot before defeating Rykard for some extra Runes.
If you die on your first attempt at Rykard, go to the Hold and upgrade the Spear, then go back summon mimic and fight...much easier.

I used a torch on the invisible bridge and it illuminates blue foggy patches indicating where it's safe to walk.
Can someone help me out here? What's the point of the golden seeds now if we can't upgrade our flasks anymore. Just curious?

For those having trouble to find the "invisible staircase" on the invisible bridge, use your camera and look for a light blue haze in the air. This is the staircase.

That boss fight was pretty cool. Got him on first attempt but definitely would have been a pain without mimic.
For those looking for patches again I stumbled upon him in the Muckwater Cave(NE of first steps grace), and he tries to attack you again and then cowers..p

The invisible staircase was surprisingly easy also using hoarfrost stomp to check for ground, for anyone having issues...
The only npc I bothered killing at all was lady Tanith, mainly because that was really weird and discusting her eating Rykards body, and Dung eater. Since he drops his armor and sword and is easy to take out. Strangely enough, I didn't need to get my sins absolved and the church of vowes after killing Dung eater. That sword of Milose he drops is a really cool and strong weapon to use. These walk throughs have been so helpful, thank you.
Patches is the only one I killed. I intended to leave him alive but I was Bloodfang stepping into him and didn't realize how low his health was nor did I hear him pleading to stop. Don't think I missed anything important with his quest from what I can tell. He doesn't sell anything that special.

I used a bleed build, with rolo as my summon, it was SICK.
After the bridge encounter Patches will be at murkwater cave (the cave where you meet him the first time around limgrave) you will fight him and you can leave him alive.
I still don't understand how you ease through these bosses and they are just so hard to get through.
For the invisible staircase, there is a faint blue fog that you will be able to see as you walk across the bridge in either direction. I saw it and I had not yet interacted with the riddle, so it seems like it's visible all the time.
If you really want a melee heal build, use takers cameo, blasphemers blade (in off hand or on back, rikard's great rune, and put great stars in main hand. You'll be healing and smashing all day. Also golden land should gain a heal with each hit when on Great stars. Ntm the healing when using the ash of war from blasphemers blade. If you're really struggling and running out of health flasks, try that build.
As I'm watching and playing along tanith is summoned,and proceeds to beat me down,but not for long!
Just resting didn't trigger them to move in stormveil for me on a few chars, I had to rest in stormveil and advance time.

I had to complete the nephelli questline in order for me to get her to move to the roundtable hold. there was a boss in the village of albernics I had to beat in order for me to give her the storm hawk ash. So if your having trouble try completing that.. Also dont forget to speak to gideon once you beat that boss in the area.

Nepheli quest bugged out for me too. I ended up going to the Chapel of Anticipation by way of Four Belfries to check on the Stormhawk ashes. There wasn't any as I was sure I already given the ashes to Nepheli. Thinking I was stuck, I went back to the Stormveil throne room anyway and she was there with Kenneth.
There is another trick to the invisible stairs, however I am not sure it is there unless you have been to the front door first and checked out the riddle. If you keep the camera pointing at the tower or the rock it is sitting on, you can see a faint trace of fog that marks out where the stairs are.
To get to the front door if needed, you will need to head west from the First Church of Marika grace (which is located at the far end of the Frozen Lake) and go past the grave yard with dogs and hit the 'air current' and from there (near the Evergoal) head north.
Juno Hoslow fight for a mage. Run towards him. Super aggressive. Do nothing else except swing at him with Adula's Moonblade. (spell)
You don’t need stones or arrows for the stairs. Just slowly walk towards the glow trail that is there.
