Anytime Cowboy says you should have no problem with (x) it'll be easy that means I'll spend the next 3 hours hating Elden ring, the programmers, their parents...etc. Anytime he says it's going to be a challenging fight I'm going to breeze through it in 30 seconds. So far this system has worked pretty well for me.
Just a heads up now, or at least it did for me, after u kill the second snail in the cave area where u pick up the White Reed armor, one wolf stayed alive and I was invaded by a White Reed Samuria. It completely caught me off guard, but it is an easy fight.
8:06 - "Don't worry, these dogs are not very deadly. 🙂" - proceeds to get torn to absolute shreds, almost dying. 😂😂 I don't think they liked that statement very much lmaooo. 💀
Thank you so much for all the work you put in to thies guides ...i would have never had the determination to figure out anything in thies games with out ur help😊
In the snail cave there is a room with some loot you can see better going back out of the cave. But if you are walking from the front, down the log, go past the room where it gets narrow and keep looking to the left and behind you till you see it. Idk if it's a hidden wall or not because I used the shackle in the beginning which reveals hidden pathways
i’ve actually just now learned how to play the game. 160 hours in and things are starting to make sense. i know what build i like, and now to parry enemies. had to start another save where i try and run it by memory. still have yet to finish my main save
The One-eyed Shield is a fun shield for PvE. If you hold the shield ability button down. It acts as a guard. Soon as the enemy bounces their weapon; "say hello to my little friend!"
Love your walkthrough man. Really solid work. You missed a rune arc and some other loot in the spiritcaller cave. when you run back up from the drop down where the floor colapses, there is some loot to the right:)
Oh man, duel-wielding Blasphemous Blade with Death's poker (for frost buildup) and the Godskin Cloth and Taker's Cameo...I've got healing for days!! Also, it appears that killing one of the snails..when their summons die, that also counts as an enemy defeated and gives more HP.
I placed Latenna the albinauric on the cliff top and used those cliffs to survive frostbite. She did all the work. Best summon against dragons. Tried and tested multiple times with multiple dragons.❤
I love how everytime cowboy comes across dogs he says "you don't have to worry about these dogs....." then proceeds to almost die to said dogs! 😂😂😂 happens everytime it's become expected now lol
I died to the boss in the spiritcaller cave and dropped 85k runes. On my way back, I was unaware the floor collapsed and so I fell all the way down and died again losing all those ruins.
@toneloc8226 Some he beats easily, and some that he kind of struggled against, I beat more easily. I wasn't prepared for how hard the Elden Beast was tho. He really schooled me on that one.
That ice dragon was a huge pain in the ass. My mimic wasn't very effective in this fight which really hasn't happened before. I may need to try some different ones for different fights. My mimic is usually a much better fighter than I am, but the AI didn't seem to know how to deal with a dragon.
During the Garrison run, my summon/mimic tear knocked the 'chief guardian' off the castle wall and he just walked around and stood outside doing nothing. Strange fight- he was still alive with ~20% health and I finished him off easily but that was some goofy shit
I thought Spiritcaller Cave was a cakewalk, until one of the snails in the large room saw me at a distance and summoned a Samurai Warrior who tore me to shreds; wasn't expecting that at all. Then he was waiting for me when I entered the cave a 2nd time and I barely beat him as I was trying to recover my lost runes. He was way worse than the 3 wimpy bosses, who went down fast and easy. On another note, mages have to divide up between health and mana flasks, and on a few dungeon occasions I was down to 1 health flask. Rather than going back to the Grace and starting again, you can equip the health talisman to top you off but it's slow, so go take a break and let it refill your health bar so you can save your last flask for the boss fight. Of course, if you have a lot of mana flasks you can cast a heal if you have it.
they’re students of okina. have you already killed okina? but yeah i was shocked they appeared as well. personally i decided to absolutely destroy them with their own masters sword just to rub it in their faces.
Yup, as of the latest patch there is a samurai invader that uses supuku. He invades twice, once on the 3rd snail and once again after killing the fourth on the right hand side just bum rush the last snail before the boss fight. Fighting the samurai in close quarters with a ton of wolves around you is hard. I suggest just rush the last snail and kill him as fast as you can. It will despawn the samurai ASAP. Dude is a straight assassin
I always watch these AFTER I do the area, that way i get to experience it first hand and after have you tell me what I missed.... I ended up fighting the lobsters.... DO NOT FIGHT THE LOBSTERS
Same. I like to experience some parts or areas first hand. And then watch the walkthrough at a sped up playback speed to see anything I missed. Thankfully this game lets you run away if you need to from some deadly parts and then come back to it. I sometimes like to watch the walkthrough for strategies against tougher areas.
To anyone watching, make sure you use a strike weapon on borealis, something like the great stars. It has an 80 percent negation to slash dmg, so the bloodhounds fang is gonna do baby damage.
9:35 this guy is honestly easy with a shield. No poise so even with moonveil you can get two or three hits in easy if he doesn't roll away. If you run out of stamina and he breaks your poise, he is slow enough you have time to roll away from his jab attack. Maybe it is easy because how late I got here, but i just ran up to him, blocked one jab attack and then would hit him 1-3 times. If he starts to cast just break the induction with a smack.
Want a stupid easy time on the dragon? Stay on your house as your summon attacks and stay a distance and use rock sling. Every 3 or 4th cast it staggers it ontop of doing massive damage.
Dude that frost dragon in new game plus is actually a pain in the ass. One attack does like 3/4's of your health bar at 60 vigor. Had me raging for sure lol. Just frost attacks and flies away soon as you get close.
DO NOT LOCK ON THE DRAGON AND USE KNIGHT OGHA IF YOU CAN. I spent so much time on this boss and I did it that way highly recommend if using horseback use the LANCE TALISMAN
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but for anyone struggling with the dragon, it has 80% damage reduction against slash, and only 10% reduction against striking (at least of 1.06) so a blunt weapon is definitely the way to go.
Please upvote this so FightCowboy can see, if your in your inventory useing runes, if you press y ( on pc ) change the view so it shows your player and the inventory, you can use all the runes you want, so you dont have to re enter the inventory
Anyone else playing now watch out when you pick up the somber 8 on the lake, not sure if it was just bad luck or if it's been changed with a patch but I was ambushed by a lobster picking it up, if you're on horseback then it's easy to get away just keep an eye behind you for the frost cannon. Also as others have noted as well, in the spiritcaller caver there is an offshoot with a hero rune and a rune arc if you follow the natural path without falling through the trap floor. That dragon was horrid as well, I had to run away first try because frostbite used up all my estus before I'd even done a quarter of its health. Second try I beat it by doing true cheap hit and run tactics didn't stick around for more than 3-4 hits a time and then turned tail and ran to avoid the frost damage which is truly insane if it ramps up.
At 12:35 when you pick up the somber 8 be careful, two frostbite lobsters will emerge from the ice and either grab you or snipe you with the water jet thing. Almost killed me. Idk why they didn’t spawn when cowboy pick it up, maybe they added it in on 1.04…
Only god knows how many time I died trying to kill this dragon, idk y this particular dragon was really hard to kill, was finally able to kill him after an hour of summoning players
Out of all the dragons, I hate the frost ones specifically this guy. Took me 5 tries to down him, had to go farm materials to craft thawfrost boluses. Had 35 total, ended up with 20 left. That frost is a bastard, normally the dragons don't give me trouble. But when they spit frost, then it becomes big trouble.
It took me a solid 20 tries to kill Alecto. Vyke...I felt bad for the poor guy. STR60/FAI25 Flame of the Redmanes. He never staggered, but he paused so long I could chain cast, and then he died before I ran out of FP (Mind 25). A win is a win though, so I'll take it XD
The Black Knife Tiche made this fight so easy. Constantly ticking bleed at the health. I basically stood back and let Black Knife kill the dragon. 5:52
Holy smokes. I was using a +23 Gut's Greatsword with lightning grease and just spammed Lion's Claw and kept pancaking him. He never moved a step and was on the ground the entire 15 second fight.
Fire monk armor looks sic 30:00 I like how the things you say are great and work very well keep getting nerfed, but the things you say need a buff never get buffed. Nice balance they have. for dragon, hide behind cliff, radahn's rain, radahn's arrows, and tiche did the job finally.
If someone struggles with dragon: he has 80% resist towards slash and pierce. Just try and use strike weapon since he is the weakest to that type of damage
That dragon got way buffed. The damage it takes is alot lower then what cowboy does. That fight took 15 minutes. A ranged summon is recommended. Big time. Melee will die fast. Once you see Frost, get off torrent to save flasks. Use Lance talisman.
The dragon is the hardest thing I’ve fought so far. It’s like the game just ramps up on the last hit and makes my character stuck so he can’t swing on the last hit and then bam freezing breath

Pro tip! I've been struggling with that bastard for 2 days. With that advice I managed to kill it with 1st attempt. Cheers bro!
I wanted to get an item beyond the dragon a few episodes back but I tried doing it not completely sober. Had a bad time and after about 20 attempts i went to sleep. Next day it took me 2 or 3 tries, there might be a lesson here
Anytime Cowboy says you should have no problem with (x) it'll be easy that means I'll spend the next 3 hours hating Elden ring, the programmers, their parents...etc. Anytime he says it's going to be a challenging fight I'm going to breeze through it in 30 seconds. So far this system has worked pretty well for me.
Man, you're amazing! lots and lots of work put in to this. Thank you!. Regards from Colombia
22:36 oh we got something better alright
Exactly
Also, it appears that killing one of the snails..when their summons die, that also counts as an enemy defeated and gives more HP.
beast repellant torch makes spirit caller cake a lot easier. pacifies the wolves.
I placed Latenna the albinauric on the cliff top and used those cliffs to survive frostbite. She did all the work. Best summon against dragons. Tried and tested multiple times with multiple dragons.❤
Like always, the best walkthroughs on RUclips🔥 Thanks Cowboy
"These dogs arent deadly" proceeds to nearly get annihilated 😂 that gave me a good laugh
I love how everytime cowboy comes across dogs he says "you don't have to worry about these dogs....." then proceeds to almost die to said dogs! 😂😂😂 happens everytime it's become expected now lol
I died to the boss in the spiritcaller cave and dropped 85k runes. On my way back, I was unaware the floor collapsed and so I fell all the way down and died again losing all those ruins.
damn man. stuff like that happens a lot. i probably lost 100k runes when we went through the sewers in the capital. damn imps.
I just lost 120k. Thought my flask was active. It wasn’t. Went for my runes in the god’s kingdom cave and died.
Happen to me one time because I forgot to call the elevator down and walked off hahahah
Really enjoyed this one. Dragon had me for a while, but my trusty mimic and I finally prevailed!
I had to take a break from attempting it. The way he beats it so easily the first try is insane 🤣
The albinauric with the bow is a good one, check some videos on the net and you will see
18:48 the soundtrack is amazing
For the ones struggling with the jail fight, the spell stars or ruin take a lot of damage and they follow him.
Absolutely brilliant walk through so detailed and precise awesome cowboy 😎
Got the dragon in 2 attempts, nice tips was also doing him alot of damage via horse
Died 8 times to the dragon and gave up, not sure if its bugged but his scream is getting me through mountains
Wing of Astel is a dragon destroyer. Just get under it and start dropping L2 bombs. If it flys away get on your horse and take off after it.
I like how that thumbnail looks: "Elden Ring 64"
Same bro i like
To anyone watching, make sure you use a strike weapon on borealis, something like the great stars. It has an 80 percent negation to slash dmg, so the bloodhounds fang is gonna do baby damage.
Giant crusher goated
Can confirm maxed tiche plus horseback makes the dragon a breeze
9:35 this guy is honestly easy with a shield. No poise so even with moonveil you can get two or three hits in easy if he doesn't roll away. If you run out of stamina and he breaks your poise, he is slow enough you have time to roll away from his jab attack.
Maybe it is easy because how late I got here, but i just ran up to him, blocked one jab attack and then would hit him 1-3 times. If he starts to cast just break the induction with a smack.
i just worked out, if you use margits shackle it reveals hiiden rooms, well the illusory walls
Good tip on Everfall knight...Fortisaax Lightening Spear is just ridiculously OP..
Whenever FightinCowboy says "not very deadly" it means they're "very hurty" instead.
"Very hurty" is now a phrase I'm going to try and sneak into conversation daily. Thank you for that.
Lions Claw on Great Stars is amazing
for anyone who struggles with humanoid fights, just the nightriders glaive with giant hunt its really op
Halberd*
Want a stupid easy time on the dragon? Stay on your house as your summon attacks and stay a distance and use rock sling. Every 3 or 4th cast it staggers it ontop of doing massive damage.
Already hip 😎
Yea I was using my uchigan kitana and died like 5 times. Used my great stars and killed him super quick
Please upvote this so FightCowboy can see, if your in your inventory useing runes, if you press y ( on pc ) change the view so it shows your player and the inventory, you can use all the runes you want, so you dont have to re enter the inventory
I wish I had known this from early game. Great info!
Also, you can just sell your runes at a merchant and it's setup to calculate the total amount as you select the number of particular runes to cash in.
@@st8kout961 it works not just for runes, but using consumables aswell ect
Damn, didn't know I would be spending my entire Sunday on the dragon. haha
When i fought the dragon i used the summon black Knife tiche. He almost killed the dragon by himself. Very good summon for the dragon.
if you go back up the path in the cave, there's a lot of loot runes
At 12:35 when you pick up the somber 8 be careful, two frostbite lobsters will emerge from the ice and either grab you or snipe you with the water jet thing. Almost killed me. Idk why they didn’t spawn when cowboy pick it up, maybe they added it in on 1.04…
Only god knows how many time I died trying to kill this dragon, idk y this particular dragon was really hard to kill, was finally able to kill him after an hour of summoning players
On your next playthrough just use tiche while horseback and whack him
@@HardDanceKickz thank you for the advice! I died 5 times with my mimic but killed the dragon my first attempt with Tiche
@@codyhall6279 your welcome bro
Late, but that dragon in the freezing lakes is weak to strike damage so you'll finish it easily if you use a strike weapon.
Fun Fact: Vyke is the knight on the cover of Elden Ring and he has a very tragic backstory.
Dan fact about phantom slash if for example you use bloodflame blade on the halberd your phantom will have that on as well
That dragon hits like an absolute truck
If someone struggles with dragon: he has 80% resist towards slash and pierce. Just try and use strike weapon since he is the weakest
to that type of damage
Press L1 with the torch. It lights up a wider area.
I just killed him. Took me several tries and different strategies. He was hard. Using Rotten Breath in the beginning did help
FC's my Spirit Summon through and through !✊️ Good dude all around
