I asked my great grandma for a drink once and she gave me root beer. Personally I HATE root beer but I loved her so much so I drank it and she seemed very happy. I never regretted it, I was trying not to be rude but for me it was worth seeing her smile at me. 🥰

For me, the taste that reminds me of cough syrup is strong cherry syrup.

Edit: it's pei pa koa, the taste is very concentrated, rootbeer is like if this syrup mixed with soda water

My gosh here in America we call it the candy of meat. LOL I can't imagine only settling for one slice of bacon. But you're much healthier for it. If my husband were alive today he be cracking up

@@derpyweirdomaool8180 I agree animals were created for our food what I don't agree with is the treatment of them. So I try to stick with companies that are compassionate. I know one thing for sure the next time I go to the store and buying bacon

I’ve been to that exact restaurant in Hawaii when I went to visit. The french toast with Frosted Flakes ice cream (in the video) is absolutely BOMB.

Tbh, I think America makes way too big deal out of bacon. I don’t eat pork bacon, but I’ve had beef bacon and the kind I buy looks quite a bit like pork bacon and it looks similar when cooked. That stuff is good and I could definitely eat more than the serving size which is 1 slice. My limit is 4. I can understand you not being able to eat too much. If you aren’t used to that kind of flavor, the smokiness and all that, it can be intense
I think it depends on the bacon. Like maple bacon is incredible. Would reccomend.

I'm the same. I can only eat a slice or two of bacon, after that it's not that good anymore lol. I always wondered if it was just me since other people love bacon but my mom told me she's the same way. I guess growing up eating asian food all the time altered the way food tastes for different people

I love bacon but too much makes me sick. I used to be able to eat loads of bacon when I was younger.
Bacon can be served in several different ways, but my favorite is when it is crunchy and most of the fat was soaked away.

As of yet bacon has just not really appealed to me… it always looked too salty and greasy and strange 😅😅 I remember going to someone’s house as a small child and that being the only thing I left on the plate. Not great etiquette when I consider it now, though I still would not want it I would try to inform the host prior to eating :)

Jeanelle, you should try Turkey bacon! It’s a far less overpowering game-y taste than pork bacon, way less fatty, and if you cook it on low heat in a pan it can caramelize a little bit and tastes so good!

I love pork and bacon. I once ordered samgyeopsal on my birthday and ate it all alone bc i didn't wanna share it with my family which consists of 8 ppl. So my bacon limit is definitely like more than 6. I eat little but when it comes to my favorite foods like spice and pork my stomach won't fill enough.

Bacon🥓 is my favorite breakfast food. 😋 yummy, I love French toast and waffles 🧇 too. And fried 🍳 eggs. I also love BLT sandwiches, bacon, lettuce and tomato on toast with mayo. It's so good.
I first got ice-cream when I was 7 I never was an outside person my parents work as doctors (both) so I stay with my gramps, one day my parents come home early and took me to a park, on the way to the park there was a ice cream truck, I just see it pass by as if I never see anything, my parents noticed it and got ahead to buy ice-cream I got the vanilla+chocolate one, it was so good I ate my dad's ice cream too.
Being Asian American (lao/Scottish) I grew up on eating bacon with sticky rice LOL!!!
As a non-muslim who grew up in a country where everything is mostly halal, the first time I had bacon felt nice. Like finally unlocking a new option in a video game lol

If you are in a place where there's mostly Halal I guessed it was a Muslim country and the pressure they have on you ? Sorry if I was being rude or something I just wanted to answer his question :(
A bacon limit there isn't a bacon limit, thats why when there's bacon to be cooked I am the cook I get to sample it while I cook then when it gets evenly divided on everybody's plate they all get the same amount. As I watch them eat, a big smile comes over my face, knowing I had more bacon 🥓 than they did.
I personally can’t handle the texture of bacon by itself. But inside of things like Queso and potatoes, it’s really good. Ooo! And on pizza.
I came from Asia and I was Muslim and so I never ate any pig meat but I tried some after I left the religion and I don't like much of pig meat but bacon is something I love way way too much... especially when they are glazed with brown sugar...omg...mouth-watering!

Growing up, I never heard or ate bacon. I just discovered it around 10 yrs ago? It's really not a staple in the Filipino table so you won't see it that much... but I tried it once and it's really not for me. I prefer our own version of bacon which is Tocino. It's sweet, fatty and very tender. It's not for everyone too. And it's fine so, more tocino for me.
I remembered eating a whole big plate of bacon in the hotel buffet. I thought my mom would eat it with me so I got the whole full plate since she also loves bacon, but she said she's full. Not to waste any food from the table, I ate the whole plate of bacon. I think it's about 2 kilos 😂.

I had the same experience, the first time I had bacon I was struggling to push it down my throat and was also embarrassed to throw it out. I gulped it down with water at the end. That was the first and last time I had bacon 😶

Bacon is really fatty and salty so what i do it I either dip it in syrup or rap it with some eggs (usually the egg one though) it makes it so you can enjoy the crispy savory bacon and have the saltiness mellowed by the creamy eggs
Bacon on its own, 2. In a sandwich or w/ pancakes, 3 or 4. With rice and eggs, more please!

I'm sure it's because the bacon was extra salty and fatty and oily.
Those types are messy and annoying to eat due to needing extra chewing and the oil just goes everywhere. (Still delicious imo, but I can understand the dislike if that's your first time eating it)
I think there are leaner cuts of bacon and you can also get it unseasoned.
And some cook bacon using water instead of oil and the result is pretty much similar except without the thick coat of grease on each slice

The same thing happened to my husband when he was 14. He grew up without eating pork. So when he stayed a summer with his uncle, he bought a pack of bacon, cooked all of it, and eating ALL of it. He couldn’t keep it down and he only like turkey bacon now haha
I loveeee bacon but when I first tried it moving to America, I felt the same. My mom ate it with rice and ketchup as the dip but that was the only way I rly ate it. It’s different now though.

Bacon to me is a food that seems really good before you start eating it and by the time you're like in 2 pieces, you question why you wanted it to begin with
When I was pregnant, one of the only proteins I could keep down was bacon. So I had bacon almost every morning🤣 Now, I'm like bleh. Only every once in a while

The bacon we have in England is a little different and has a lot more meat on them I’m obsessed with it
I don't eat bacon but once at a restaurant there were pieces of it on my chips and the grease made me feel sick for a few hours. I could just "feel" the grease hours after I ate the chips. It's so heavy and the taste was a sickly kind of salty. Just isn't for me.
