I just started my youtube channel two weeks ago and my confidence is at zero. But U am trying to build my confidence one video at a time. Thank you for this Ben
I recently found your channel and found so many tips that helped a lot. This video has really opened my eyes on what I've been doing wrong on my videos, especially the tip about down notes. Knowing these tips will help me improve my future content a lot more! Thank you Ben, your content and advice is amazing 👏
This was great. I really connected on the point to script, or at least plan out, your videos. It drives me insane when the person just rambles for 30 seconds and hasn’t addressed why I’m here to watch. I used to do this all the time when I edited my own gaming videos years ago. That experience with making videos and talking I think has helped me in speaking overall, but getting on camera is still something I have yet to tackle. It’s just so weird cuz now I have to be mindful of speaking clearly, my posture, body language, eye contact - so many things you don’t have to worry about during a normal voice over. But that last part is the golden ticket - just make stuff. You (I mean myself) just gotta hit record and go. Cuz truthfully you could sit there and critique forever, but eventually you gotta post something. I like the saying “being done is better than being good.” Thanks for the great content, Ben.
and you help me again! thank you for the tips and encouragement that you give, i just almost delete the video that i take because it is really imperfect but Thank to god that he send me to your channel, people maybe say that i overreact but everything that i type on your comment section is the truth from my heart, so thank you so much Bro.
Your videos are always soooo incredibly helpful. I love the mix of practical tangible tips, and the humanity and empathy you provide your audience. You’re the real MVP!
Hahah love the sponsor skit 😂 that up note and down note bit makes so much sense! Gotta try that out. Also how many cameras do you have recording at once?! I love the change up of angles as you speak, keeps my attention the whole time.
Omg love your vids! Especially the one where you created an intro for your friend who is starting a channel. That could be a series or something! Anyways your videos inspire me every time so great job!
Wow I have just found your channel and honestly found this video amazing! Thank you. You have such a great style in how you present and so many great tips! Off to watch some more of your videos 🙌🏼
Hiya Ben, you give us some great tips and advise here, i admit i can talk fast when excited to talk about a thing! i can see how i slow down on video, to be heard - although i found it hard to move past some other people's advise of "edit all the breathes/pauses and you out of the video" and just give the viewer the info they want. i am struggling to find the balance and the confidence to be myself because of this very early advice i heard. Make it til you make it - this resonates with me so much better than fake it til you make it. nice work Ben, thank you. Calvin
It can be difficult to find the balance of slowing down while also not boring the viewer, I cut out a lot of breaths and dead space to keep the video moving but I dont cut it all out (I find it sounds unnatural that way)
Great Video! I prefer the background you have now to the very colorful one you had before. I have been noticing some changes to your content lately. You obviously have been doing some research! Great points - Slow Down, End on Down note.
As I try to sort through so much “how to” content, you offer the best stuff. However while watching you, do you ever read from a sort of teleprompter in the camera to always cover your whole script? Thanks!
Excellent tips!!! I'd say i'ce leveled up but my actual cadence could use some work. I've actually gotten quite a few comments on being too slow so for me, I actually have to speed things up a bit but I think I'm exception not the norm.
This video was so good. Thank you for sharing Ben. What are your thoughts on teleprompters. I have been looking into small ones since I have heard it's better for not seeming to be reading but I don't know yet. I find that I will write my script word for work and then when recoding comes I want to stick so much to the script that when I don't say things word for word I get frustrated. Do you recommend creating a scrip but still being open to change during the actual recording.
Hi Ben what is the green balance degree angle line on camera in 5:05 called and how did you open it ? i tried to find it on my A6400 but havent found it
My personal preference when it comes to a good mic is the Rode Videomic Pro. Affordable and delivers great quality sound for YT. If you want to go one step further, pair that mic with a Zoom H1n instead of straight into the camera, set the Rode Videomic Pro to +20db and the Zoom H1n to 4 and you'll get very nice clean professional sounding audio for your videos. Don't forget to set it between 6-14 inches from your mouth to get the best possible pickup of sound. Good luck!
It mostly depends on what type of videos you're creating and what the environment is. Here is a video I made about it a while back that may help: ruclips.net/video/b4c5tdUNWnc/видео.html
Nice tips. I am new youtuber. I still feel not confident enough to show my face even my voice. After watching this video I will try it on my next video. Thanks.
Hi Everyone I am Sunir, I am trying to startup Here in San Francisco, I just wanted to get you short feedback on this IDEA. IDEA : People have difficulty staring at the camera lens to create videos, they have to focus on the camera lens while speaking the right thing. But People can speak much more effectively when they speak in front of a mirror alone in a room. Solution: A Two way of Mirroring Flexible Foil that stands between the creator and the camera lens, the creator will see his own reflection without seeing the camera lens (just Like looking at the mirror) but the camera will get a clear image from another side) as if there was nothing. I had this problem once when I had to record a video, But I have never been a Regular video creator so I can't verify the problem on my own, So I just wanted to know if you have the same problem, or did you had this problem when you started out as a RUclipsr? We will make this product a Reality if this actually is the problem Thank You Very Much, Best Regards, Sunir
i do not have issues talking infront of a camera, i just came to say your thumbnail idea is amazing! great job!
haha thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!

You can do it!
Don't despise the days of little beginnings. Thank you Ben

Thanks Jon! In this video I had 3 cameras going, for most of my videos I just use 1 but every now and then I add in a few more!

I don’t but I do have my phone nearby with my script pulled up. I tend to only record a few lines at a time
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Really nice work Man. Appreciate it
Glad you enjoyed it!

Love that you're getting more and more confident!
Another fire video Ben!
I can’t help but look at the center of your mustache, it looks like a little caterpillar 🐛
😅

That’s exactly what I recommend!
Hit the major parts word for word, but the majority of it you can fluctuate some to make it organic :)
it was really helpful .
Glad to help!
Hi Ben what is the green balance degree angle line on camera in 5:05 called and how did you open it ? i tried to find it on my A6400 but havent found it
It’s the level, not every camera has it but if yours does you can access it by cycling through the display button
Awesome!
Thanks Andrew!
Man did you create that intro it sure looks like the Think Media intro
I created it! But I do love Think Media!
What microphone do you recommend for a start up RUclipsr? I can’t spend too much but would like consistency with my audio.
My personal preference when it comes to a good mic is the Rode Videomic Pro. Affordable and delivers great quality sound for YT. The tips is great, but your hands is annoying. That repetition of gesture is distracting yk
