I've found one or two places north of Springbok that will take Nam$ when I'm traveling south and then they'll give them as change to people traveling north. Quite handy sometimes.
Hallo Nic. We are so happy that you are back! We really missed you!! We are so extremely proud of you that you did not allow your challenges to keep you down and quit your channel!!!!! We are always looking forward to your next video. Blessings
Cheers Nick, You are a very good chap. We are just changing some pounds into Rand and US dollars for Zimbabwe. I still have the old Zimbabwean dollars from years ago. More than worthless now. No billion Dollar notes. Looking forward to Friday and we shall be on our way 😊
Thanks Nick! Nice to see your RUclips channel alive and kicking again :-) ...who needs 54 countries when there is so much to show and tell about Namibia. Keep it up!
Hello nick, I'm a traveler always on the highway foot on the gas pedal l, but I'll always time to watch your channel because I really appreciate your efforts and the infos and since I'm a traveler your videos are nice and calming.
Nick, a question please. You posted a comment about buying a simcard and the long process of activating it. I mentioned this to a government person on her visit to London about 2 weeks ago and she said that this was no longer the case. Just go to the MTN desk at the airport and load sim and away you go. Any update would be great. Thanks. If you find yourself in Etosha from 2nd Nov gives us a shout, there for 6 days
Ive seen this as well, but cant confirm. emailed MTC without getting a proper response. Asked our local office here and they said the process is the process and according to them there are no special arrangements for tourists. Maybe just do more research and see...
One question if I may please: Petrol cheaper in SA or Nam? Going on a road trip soon, need to know if I fill up on this side of the border or over there. Oh, and anyway, are prices for groceries and general goods cheaper in Nam?
Petrol is a lot cheaper in Namibia, so arrive empty and fill up at the first town you get into Namibia...SA's groceries used to be a lot of cheaper, but these days its pretty much the same. Also easier to shop as you go, rather than over shopping in South Africa
@@NickfrNamibia Thank you much. Oooh, 3rd question: Internet on the road. How do we do it? Get sim card in Nam or does our SA sim work, and how are the roaming fees? We don't use the phone for calls, just as a hotspot. To upload videos from our laptops ... similar to you. Thx in advance. xoxo
Thank you for informing our visitors. Namibia is all we have. And we all must serve to save her. Once again thank you very much. 🇳🇦

yip you'll find that..along the Whk-Cape Town route as well, but that would have made the video very confusing. Officially, it is not accepted in SA

i use local SIM cards, but the process is a bit complicated now in Namibia. You have to register it at a MTC branch
@@NickfrNamibia I guess it's like SA's RICA then. Dankie.
@@orcaflotta7867 yes it is. Requires you to go to the police station, get a declaration and then go amd register at MTac branch
Baie Dankie Nick!🤠🐗🇺🇸🇨🇱🥃
