Hi Nick…my wife and I have just returned from a self drive adventure across Namibia which was inspired by your videos.. they were always instructive…always inspiring….ultimately will be the catalyst to a trip of a life time…a BIG Thank you and good luck for the future.
As a Namibian who is very passionate about travel and adventure I joined your channel to support it and to travel with you virtually and I have learned a lot through your channel. It’s sad that this theme is gonna be overtaken by another. Wish you all the best though.;Your resilience will see you through the thickness of what you have already transcended and you will surely come out shining
Dude... It's a real blow to be watching this video. Been working through your content planing a trip. Thank you...thank you for putting yourself out there and helping others. Look forward to the future with you doing what you enjoy. Keep your chin up
Thanks Dan. Actually have some good news for you then. I'll be back on the road from Feb 25. Heading back to Zim where things ended and take it from there.
Nick, stop saying it was a failure, please. It would have been a failure if you wouldnt have started. If you wouldnt have had the courage to leave your scheduled life behind and wouldnt have tried it. You have had beautifull experiences , became a stronger and wiser person and we were allowed to witness it. We were informed and entertained and even more importantly: inspired. Oh and I loved the rawness and realness of your video's and your style as well. There is always a deeper lifegoal to what you want to acheive and you have realised that deeper goal and thus it was a big succes ! Period
@sponzie1 That is great and for a lady of 60 years young, I could imagine quite an enterprise. I was 50 when I started going to South Africa (in and around Krugerpark). Reading trip reports I decided to go to Zimbabwe and Zambia, still in lodges and a holiday home. But the video's of people like Nick 5410africa , Edward Bath and 4x4ventures made me rent a 4wd with rooftop tent into Botswana and Zimbabwe (also solo). These were the best and most special experiences. Thanks to those guys.
Hey Boet. Still keeping it real... This is what makes your channel different(unique). So you have dealt with your fear and that is awesome. Onwards and upwards. PS... the thumbnail should be "a new chapter" not "the end..." Never stop dreaming.
I've personally loved your channel. Being a young South African, keen on adventure, camping etc, I really enjoyed your simple approach to adventuring. Showing that you don't need all this fancy gear and equipment to get our there and enjoy nature. Use what you have and spend your money wisely. Trots op jou dat jy eerlik gedeel het en ook deur gedruk het wanneer dit moeilik was. Legend!
You channel is/was the best. After discovering your channel we did a Southern Africa road Trip. Your channel made our trip the best this far because You are real so is your Channel.. Thank you very much, I/we hope you will continue 👍🏾🙏🏾
Sorry to hear this Nick. As a Brit that fell in love with a SA woman and wants to explore different parts of Africa away from Cape Town your videos have given me lots of ideas for future adventures when we are in the Southern Hemisphere. Good luck!
I haven't clicked on a video so fast. I'm from Zim and I fell in love with your content as I'm considering something similar to explore Africa by road (without the YT channel though). Thank you for all the insight and inspiration. Wishing you the best!!
No one has failed as long as they can start again. Failure is part of the success journey. Thanks for being honest Nick. I like your channel. Best wishes .
I toured Namibia for a whole month in july 2023 because you inspired me,your videos were so clear, exact and accurate,I'm saddened but I thank you so much and wish you well
Thank you soon much for your videos, I'm a 50year old lady and took a solo trip to Namibia. Your video helped me with all info I needed. Good luck and we will be waiting for your return❤
Just here to say thank you again for your vulnerability and your insight into traveling Africa. You were THE reason I did a solo road trip across Namibia last year. Without your guidance and inspirational content, it wouldn’t have happened. You did not fail at all. You’re on a journey and just remember you have so many fans out there that support you and can’t wait to see what you do next. Incredible work! 👏

Best overland video channel I've come across, we are busy planning our Nam trip and all our 'notes' is from your video, like you say, all the other channels just aim to 'gain sponsors' and normal people cant afford any of the gear or vehicles they claim you 'need'. Sad that you feel its a failure, maybe not 54 countries but luckily you started in the South so happy that you covered the areas we can reach from SA! thanks for your videos, certainly very far from a failure, something to be very very proud of Nic!
Thank you for the message Albert. Much appreciated and I will be back in 2025. The whole experience has made me stronger and more determined to succeed🙂
Hi Nick. From where I'm sitting you didn't fale at all. If you inspired only a few person's to get up and start realizing their own overlanding dream you have accomplished so much. Thanks for your honesty and openness.

Hey Nick, great to see you back albeit with a little sadness in your voice. But you have to be smiling and singing now as the Hammers have just won a cup. It’s been great to see your travels, and I’ve made a few comments about our soon to be trip. It’s got me so excited about my return to Namibia bringing my family to see such a fantastic country. I’m not sure how you kept a brave face on with the breakdowns though. The air box sucking in the sand and grinding the engine away too.🤦♂️ You have done a brilliant job so far. @@NickfrNamibia Yeah bro. Next time use a brand new Suzuki Jimny. And take some friends with. Maybe only a Namibia trip. My dad used to buy these Ituba scratch cards. I said to him hey dad, do you know the odds of winning the lottery is counting against you. I mean he died way before winning the lottery. But his words stick with me till this day. He sad "What is the use of living if we have nothing to dream for". Don't stop dreaming. For it is better to stop living.
@@pieterniemandt1098same here every week my father sent me to buy lottery tickets which he would put in some numbers and every Sunday they would announce the result of the lottery. My father never won the jackpot but just got 2 numbers correct once. You had to get the winning combination of 4 numbers. And you were given a little sum for that ie if you got 2 numbers correct. Then later on my father told me he liked 50 Cent's mantra 'Get-Rich-Or-Die-Tying'!
A failure? I think NOT! I promise you one day regardless of the path you take, you will look back at your work and know this was quite the undertaking and the adventure!!! Most only dream of.
Hope you can get back on the road, I love all your trips and it has inspired me to plan overland adventures with my wife once I finish work. I hope you get back stronger than ever.
Truly wonderful to see you again Nick. Many thanks again for your amazing videos on Namibia. You provided great advice for my two week self drive camping safari in October 2022. A special hello from Ireland 🇮🇪
Nick. As soon as you can, please start your channel again. I found your videos very informative and fun. Don't stop laughing. I liked it very much. All the best for future.
Thank you for what you have achieved, I’ll probably never get to Africa but I have thoroughly enjoyed your videos. All the very best for your future Nick. Regards and best wishes from Australia.
Hi Nick, enjoyed and appreciate your channel very much especially why share valuable advices and share the things how they are. Yes, thar´ s most likely what attract adverts and sponsors so much. But overlanders benefit a lot from that insides hard to get known. Hope to see you back with some content. Till then stay safe!
sorry to hear! I thought you and your channel has some good potential. However, as the saying goes, getting lost is part of the journey. Wishing you all the best!
I keep my fingers crossed for you and I hope you will be on track again sometime later. Wish you all the best and I thank you for this honest video. You are a man of honour because you are able to speak about the things that most of us would never share with such a great audience.
Hi Nick, sorry to hear that Bud, but like other comments have said you will be back even stronger, was great meeting you in Botswana, hopefully our paths will cross again....
Thanks for posting again Nick. I'm glad that the channel is going to continue in a different form because you have been an inspiration to many of us to get out there or at least to dream about it. All the best for your new ventures- looking forward to the next videos!
I found your channel to late. Really enjoy your vids. Well done for this open comversation. We as followers dont always know what it takes to make videos like these. Cheers brother.
Hi Nick. I am glad I stumbled upon your channel, even though it is during your 'hiatus'. I wish I bumped into the channel earlier, at least before we met on the Odfjell Hercules earlier this year.😄, not knowing you do such cool stuff. Great content, I love it, the minimalist, honest travel. I will definitely stick around to see the channel transform, can't wait to see that. Hope to meet you again some time. Keep well.

Thanks Melanie🙂
You have achieved so much basically on your own, you make us very proud. Looking forward to what's to come.😍
Hope you can get back on the road, I love all your trips and it has inspired me to plan overland adventures with my wife once I finish work.
I hope you get back stronger than ever.
Thanks Logan👍

Keep well.
