Thanks for this early days review, Marty, looking forward to hearing your thoughts on the Extreme and how it compares with this Mini in due course. 👍🏻

    Great review! QC is a “no no” as it is fire fighting whereas QA is the job 1 and design for quality is important part of that. If they do quality Assurance then QC is just biting the sheep’s heals during manufacturing.

    Nice! I think I too would like this CoMini as well if I didnt already have the ex30 as a street wheel. My real interest is in a dedicated dirt machine which for now, the T4 fills the role nicely. I've no doubt the Extreme is in another level (or 2). Cant wait to hear your impressions on the comparo. PS: didnt know you're into Jpop 😁. I like Kpop abit more but Jpop ain't bad either 🤘

      I'm not sure that I'm "into Jpop, but I like the song :-)
      The Mini with a enduro tire would probably be awesome for trails - for those who don't already have a smaller wheel. 100-volts must be painful though ;-)

      @@ElectricUnicycles Ya the 100v T4 ain't the strongest wheel available & topspeed does suck. I'd definitely be unhappy if its my one&only. As a dedicated trail wheel tho, its good. So nimble, tossable & controllable. So easy to change lines & feels like a feather esp after the ex30. Grunt can always more but then my name ain't Hafthor Bjornsson aka da Mountain 😅 either. Indeed the T4 does everything the RSht did for me cept with much higher peds, suspension & more nimble. Am sure the CoMini shod with a knobby will be better ofcos

    I wasn't sure about the red initially but I have to say it does look nice in that beautifull mountain setting. Re: your comments CNC vs cast. I did see on Fortnine that cast Alloy doesn't anodize well so I guess the bumpers/handles are also CNC. I am curious about the lights. Does each light have a blue and yellow LED or is one fitted with a blue LED and the other a yellow one?

    • @ElectricUnicycles

      As best that I can tell, both lights are identical, so there must be a yellow/blue LED in each light.

    Marty. A few questions about features that weren't mentioned in your review.
    How is the suspension? I'm guessing that I has suspension as you compared it to the Patton.
    What about 80% alarms and tilt back? Is the alarm loud enough and is the tilt back to prevent cut out, if it has that faleature effective?
    What it's the top speed?

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Год назад

      I'm not a high-speed rider so I can comment on alarms, tilt-back, etc. The suspension is fantastic - doesn't feel like it ever wants to bottom out. Pretty much like all the fork suspensions (S, Patton, Commander Pro).

  • @NCW01

    Do you feel this would make a good first EUC? How about someone with experience, but had never ridden a suspension wheel?

    • @ElectricUnicycles
      @ElectricUnicycles  Год назад +2

      For a suspension wheel this could be nice for beginners as it has a relatively low center of gravity and won't feel nearly as big as the 3600wh wheels. Generally though, a person can learn on any wheel.

      The EX30 due to its battery size. And for most riding situations I prefer the larger EUCs

    Pedal clearance/clipping, stability (wobbling), max speed before beeps start (esp. at lower charge), any tests where continuous strain like long rides uphill etc had a negative effect.

    • @ElectricUnicycles

      The Mini has substantially higher build quality and materials. More agile. The Pro has much more range and is more stable and the shock is a bit more cushy. The Mini is cheaper than the Pro.

    As we talked before….i really like it AS Much as you do, best wheel i bought in a long time! Phantastic quality and even a better ride!
    Just one objection: I am no super metall expert, but i absolutely DOUBT that my silver aluminum rails are cast, they are also CNC‘ed.

    Okay this is very weird.
    That song is Japanese. And it's a song my daughter Kumiko Bond likes.
    She was born in Japan and now lives in Iwate.
    She always says I have werewolf eye's. So I was taken aback. She was born in 1997.
    SIDE NOTE:
    I made that possible down to the year. I wanted her to be born in 1997 because I'm a huge fan of Lost in Space. And they lifted off in 1997 to alpha centary. Then became helplessly Lost In Space.
    I have never told my daughter that...strange. very, very strange.
    On Another Note:
    I am looking at the commander mini now. And was gonna ask you if it could make it up Wilson? And back on one charge. The reasons were because Thailand is as hot as a dessert. So my thinking was if it could make it up mount Wilson then it could Handel the heat in Thailand on a day to day basis.
    But after seeing this I'm sold.
    Thanks brother.
    J.
    Thailand.
    PS.
    I hope your ankle is getting stronger with each passing day. I really mean that because I saw that you really miss doing this. So I hope it's getting better. And you have a lot of friends that are behind you as well as this new friend in Thailand. Me.
    Take care brother.

    Marty , you know better than to compare to a wheel you havent tried yet.... from people that havew tried both I hear the Patton is more torque and actuallly faster off the line... Now I do not know this for myself and I am notr a Fan of BRAND as I own a EX-30 and S22 but I do not voice my opinion unless I rode BOTH... It sounds Biased but I kinda know why as ungerground doesnt offer pattons sooooo,, Great video beside that
    The extreme will take te cake in power imo but I do like the patton liook better thhan mini but I dont NEED any more than 2 wheels as I only can ride one an I may sell the s22 if the extreme is a good jumpoer as kingsong makes the best firmware for jumpiing Bar-None... it is just so easay to know how much to give it to launch and begode while aving more power is worse beside the obvious suspension... I hhope that te extreme is what I expect it to be and I may get t if people that love tech trials (big guys like myself) but I do not need 2 20 inch wheels and love the ex-30 at my size it is my fav 3600wh and I rode them all (sry commander pro) you dont have the same accel as my ex-30 but you are a nice 2nd place... I find owning more than 2 is a waste since if something gfoes wrong having a 2nd is great but unless you are doing delliveries ... anyway these are jusxt my opinions and nothing more except te part of comparing to a wheel you avent tried before.. Cheers

      I did preface my comments by saying "I can't be objective" so my comments regarding the Patton are based on what I know about it and not my experience with it. It's a great wheel. All wheels right now are actually great. But I stand behind why I prefer the Mini right now. Subjective.
      You should note that my comments regarding the Mini vs Patton had NOTHING to do with ride quality

    I messaged Lem about the Master. He seemed annoyed with my very basic questions and decided he had answered enough questions. Then I found out about the Commander Mini, which I found much more appealing so I asked Lem if he'd be getting them in. He didn't bother to respond. I guess he felt since I didn't buy the Master immediately, I didn't deserve a response regarding the Mini. Too bad, I won't be buying from him. That's no way to get a business going nor is it the way community members should be treated.

      Don't really know what to say. I have warned people that he is primarily a seller for low-maintenance people. That is, riders who know what they want and can work on their own wheels, etc. This is how he keeps his costs low.
      I highly recommend sellers such as EWheels for people who need a lot of assistance. And there's nothing wrong with that. We're all different with different needs.

    • @sharkyclear
      @sharkyclear Год назад +1

      @@privileguan9127 can we really say not replying to questions as "rude behavior?" You need to understand, that reading and/or listening to questions takes time, and articulating an answer also takes time. Time that someone can use for other productive activities.
      I point that out because, if I give an educated guess, this Lem person is probably doing this as a mere side hassle. He must have another main source of income. He told Marty to make it clear, that he's not like other distributors. You go to him, knowing what to get, and you just get it.
