- You had some questions about the studio closing. Before you comment, watch the video because I answer a lot of questions you probably have about Hi5 studios, Spellbound, and why its closing.

TBH when he kicked everyone out of Hi5 Studios it only went downhill from there... turned into crap.

However, it is just not working anymore internally with the channel and the people/crew making the videos wasn't feeling good anymore about making the same content over and over again, as the views isn't hitting much. Pandemic ruins the whole idea of some of the channel. We all know that some of their channels has to be interactive like in person and they don't want to risk health over content.
While can't say I was surprised, I appreciate you, Spellbound/Hi5, and all the people who made our childhood better. Thank you for being you Matt, much love.
@PaulLynde1926 Okay, but that's your opinion. If you're a 30-year-old, then you mommy should have taught you that if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all. Project: 863, (though great in general), wasn't necessarily aimed at adults. Most of his audience was children and teens.

It felt like a final goodbye to see the studio on screen. I grew up watching all the video's from all the different channels that produced from there. Thanks Matt for everything and I wish you luck and keep supporting you on this new adventure.

I’m incredibly happy to see that both you and JFred are doing well. I saw his video the other day about him creating his dream workshop and how he revealed his tribulations as well over the past couple years, especially with RUclips. I’m glad that both of you are able to pursue your own passions now and move on. I’ve been with your channels for around 6-7 years now and it’s slightly bittersweet to see it come to an “end.”

Goodbye Spellbound/Hi5, I've started watching all the channels of that studio since I was 15-16 (I am now 23). I was obsessed with those channels, and watched all those videos 24/7. They really inspired me to do RUclips as my true dream. Those channels, including Team Edge, had always been making me laugh and cheering me up. I will still watch those videos on those old channels, as well as Team Edge. Thank you so much for everything Matthias, I accept your decision to move on to bigger and better things. The last time i watched a hi5/spellbound channel was dope or nope just after micheal had left so what 3-4 years ago? The other day i remembered about this whole studio that i used to fill my days watching that brought me so much joy and i came back to this. Man this hurts. But thank you for everything and i wish the best of luck

I’m so happy that you’ve done this but at the same time i’m sad because i remember watching team edge with just you Bryan and JFred and i always told myself when i got older i would work their but it looks like i will never.
I’ve been here since the early BU and Team Edge days. It was very sad to see the downturn of Spellbound and it hurt to watch every channel get shut down one by one, but now’s not the time to reminisce but look to the future. Good luck man

And I just thank you for providing a safe, humorous place. Your humor is like mine so it was reassuring to see others like me. It’s been an honor sir. Sweetie, I will be honest....I am over the moon happy for you. I've been there, where rhat spiritual awakening just helps you realize what you are missing and what you needed to leave behind. You guys were part of that for me. What I told you a couple years back regarding thr loss of my husband and how 863 helped with that...I owe you guys so much for that. I reached a place where I was learning who I was. Learning ME. I am so happy that you are growing more and more through this change and finding the peace you were lacking. Go he Bilbo Baggins and "go on an adventure," dude. We will be here no matter what. :) ❤
I remember having to do a project about one of our favorite songs back in 6th grade, I chose Backwards by you, now I'm moving on to College in the fall. I grew up watching Hi-5 studios, and I've made and gotten closer with friends because of our shared interests in your channels when we were younger. Those channels and videos will always have my heart. Thank you Matt for everything you have done for us over the years. While this chapter may be closing on the studio, it feels fitting that it's happening at this point in my life, a true ending to my childhood. I look forward to the future for us all, and good luck in everything that you do! I'll be sticking around for the long haul, God is good!

I started watching from their Matt and Amanda vlog channel and when Team Edge was still in their old apartment. You guys made my teenage years as an introverted, youtube-addicted teen a better one. While it may hurt remembering how things were, I am so happy that you realized what life should be.

I want to say thank you. Thank you for posting every video that you've ever posted. I started watching all the way back when you were doing goofy voice impression challenges with your brothers and playing telephone with people like Mark, and I loved watching that grow into Team Edge!
You made AMAZING videos in the studio with all your awesome employees like Tanner, Gunner, Sam, Paul, Bailey, Bobby, CJ, Mike, Hannah, J-Fred, Mariah, Kevin, Pat, Connor, Mitch, RØZE, and so many others and people working behind the scenes that I can't possibly name them all! Dope or Nope was so incredibly fun to watch grow too with fan favorites like Bryan and Tanner and Woods and Michael and LIKE FOR LIZ and Sam making appearances! The products you reviewed really take the back burner to the amazing synergy you have just talking and having fun with your friends!
And of course you can't forget the AMAZING story you told! Project 863 was such a unique experience! For the longest time I thought it was real, and I was captived by it! When you revealed that it was all part of a fictional story you were telling, none of the magic was lost for me. You and your team's writing and acting kept me engaged the whole way through, and that goes for every story that you tell! Your ghost hunting videos were an absolute blast in this right!
I grew up just watching every video you put up on every one of your channels from your personal channel with your family vlogs to Team Edge to REKT to Get Good Gaming to Hi5 Reacts to Google Eyes to the Office style vlogs to Overkill, and even branching out to watch all the amazing channels that your employees went out to make! Watching all the fun you and your employees were having made me genuinely plan on working with you one day, and though you're now retired and my life has taken different turns as I'm graduated from college now, I still look back fondly on those days and I retain the desire to hopefully one day create something awesome with you -or at the very least shake your hand! I still sometimes find myself absent mindedly putting High Stakes up on the TV and having a good laugh without a care in the world, and lately I've been going back and clicking on random videos of your channels' past and getting flooded with a wave of nostalgia and joy as I get to re-enjoy something that helped make me into the person I am today.
I genuinely wish the best for you, your family, all your past employees, and everyone who matters to you because you all deserve the world! I can't wait to see what your future holds, and I thank you for continuing to share even the little goofy moments with us!

I also wanted to say I really appreciated getting to see you take down and then redo your pegboard while doing the voiceover. No matter how much I'm interested in a subject my mind tends to wander when listening to someone talk for an extended time. Usually I play a color by number game because it's mindless but keeps my brain active while listening. Watching you do the pegboard kept that part of my brain engaged and helped me to really listen to what you were saying. So thank you.

Its very nice to have a sight into the true reasoning behind most of whats happened in your channels the last few years. This might be one of my most favorite q and a style videos ive seen. 863 was definitely my favorite, even after it was showed to be fiction, and for me it still felt the same. Im also excited about how youll use minecraft in the future as a platform. Most of all Im happy youve stopped caring about how everyone thinks of you, which is a huge spiritual turn that I hope to make one day. Your mentions of some of christian belief and god mirror a lot of hindu spirituality which is the type of background my family comes from, and I love to hear it. Youve done so much for us, and I hope the best for you forward.
Seeing spellbound get closed peacefully and not get ran into the ground by a new person is poetic and the closure that we all needed

When you discussed your interest in design I immediately thought about pastor Todd Burpo. He is a pastor, and a coach, and works at the fire department but he has a great interest in architecture. One day he asked God why he didn't get to build buildings and a friend from church answered this question when God told him about it. The answer was that Todd would be designing buildings in heaven.
I’m here for it all. As someone who started watching a while ago and now I have a husband and kids who watch with me, I love seeing everything you create. i'll just say thank you, I've been watching you since 6th grade, i thought you were the best youtuber out there. your collabs with sean, mark, wade, and tyler. I thought all of your videos were great.
I've graduated since then, I have a full time job. You really had an impact on my life. I hope you know the impact you had on people who watched you. Especially when they've watched you for so long. when you did your skits in your apartment and slowly grow out into a business. You were great and you still are.

You were a big part of my childhood. I started watching you in 2nd grade and now I am going into my Sophomore year of High School. I still remember the first video I watched of you was the first day of 2016, it was the Lightsaber deflect challenge. I was a big Star Wars fan (still am) and it was interesting thumbnail. I remember it was by far one of the funniest things I’ve watched. I’m so blessed RUclips gave me that video in my feed. Of all the Era’s ending, this is definitely the hardest hitting one. I will truly miss all the channels you were apart of but it’s time to start something new and build a brighter and better future. There are already some new channels I’ve been enjoying. High Steaks, The Cantina, The Losers, etc. All of them are a fresh start but they still have the same good old flare.

Boy we had some good times didn't we? I remember the first videos of the studio and the excitement of setting it up! So many channels, videos, people and adventures. "Thankyou" can't even describe my gratitude for these memories. In the end though taking care of yourself and your family is number one. Man have we come a long way! I've been here since it was just Brian and Matt. Brian would unnecessarily slam the products for Matt to review and Matt would randomly drop knowledge out of knowledge where. I certainly laughed and learned a lot. I have been watching Matt for at least 8 years now, and I do have to admit that I unfortunately participated in a fair amount of armchair quarterbacking by this community in the past (anyone remember all the problems that REKT had?), but ultimately Hi5 was one of the major things that inspired me to try out making RUclips content myself. Man, if anyone reading this has a problem with Matt's business or personal decisions, I would highly encourage you to try content creation out for yourself. Matt or others could go on and on about all the difficulties involved for nearly forever I'm sure, but that doesn't even begin to compare to the experience of staring blankly at your editing software for an hour saying "I have no clue what to do with this," or spending hours recording and then all the audio ends up corrupted, or pausing for a second before you hit record and thinking "I wish I was about to do literally anything else for the next few hours, but the content must flow" (spoiler alert: those recordings turn out the worst anyway). And Matt was managing an entire business with real people that depended on him in addition to all of that.
At some point, the question stops being "Do I enjoy doing this?" and it morphs to "Is it worth it to do what I love?" I will not be making content as long as Matt has. In fact, I fully expect Matt to be making content long after I permanently move on to other hobbies. But every once in a while, I'll come back. I'll get curious about how Matt's doing and what he's up to, and wish him the best, since he deserves at least that much for everything he's sacrificed for us. And then I'll remember the days that could never last forever, and be forever grateful that they happened at all.

Hey Matt, id like to thank you for bringing me all these interesting videos like project 863, BATTLE UNIVERSE, especially Team Edge. Team edge was my childhood I've watched every video from the time yall starting that channel the OG team edge members, Bryan, Joey, and most of all YOU. I've watched most of your channels(like 90% of them) that was canceled unfortunately and I've watched them on REPEAT. My family was annoyed for this because i watched every video from team edge so many times. ive been there with ya'll for a long time. when i saw this video my heart dropped because i thought it was the end of the spellbound studios. but luckily its not the end yet.
It broke my heart that everyone went there seperate ways like bobby, then joey. but ive should've known that nothing last forever in this world but i just wanted to let you know that i thank you for your humor and your time for making those wonderful videos. is your biggest fan, i hope you read this and from my tears and joy for you, from the bottom of my heart, i thank you for your work.

Man, I agree 100% with the sentiment about 863 feeling like a show once it was announced that it was scripted. I was so engaged and immersed with that series, and once that immersion was broken, I just lost interest. It wasn't as much fun knowing that there was nothing at stake. Overall, I'm happy that you're happy. I hope the best for you, your family, and your employees.
I kinda don’t get that. Sorry but I always knew it was scripted and was still able to be immersed in the series. I never understood why people thought that a normal reaction to getting stalked was simply record and upload to RUclips. That’s the type of stuff you just report to the police.

Matt ,I know you may not read this but I started watching when dope or nope was gaining traction in middle school and continued to watch your channels and loved the project 863 story I thought it was absolutely genius and well written. Now I’m a junior in high school and I always looked up to you because I have never seen someone so creative with such intellect.Your humor has always been great and I have always appreciated who you are. Thank you for being here while I grow up. I can’t wait to see how you continue grow and share a part of your life with us. I have a relationship and faith in God and it is so heart warming to hear you share about it although some of it is hard for me to understand/comprehend but I think that will come with maturity. I have never been so inspired and moved by youtube channels more than the ones Matt created. I remember when i was 12 or 13, i got detention and thus, my electronics were taken away haha. However i still had my chromebook for school, so as a bored kid with nothing to do, i opened youtube, and the first channel that got recommended on a blank slate youtube was Matthias. I loved these videos, seeing all the products being reviewed to the point where i had to buy some of them myself. Since then, i have been keeping up with all these different channels. I watched channels come and go, kept up with many videos. Project 863 was and still is my favorite youtube video series. I remember waiting in high school waiting for those videos to release in anticipation and the reveals were so exhilarating. Now I am 20 years old, in college, and believe it or not, rewatching 863 (I’m on season 4 as we speak). Thank you Matt, for everything. You have no idea how much influence you’ve had on my life and I am eternally grateful for youtube recommending what is now Dope or Nope. I am glad you are able to move take this next step in your journey, and I hope the absolute best for you. I can’t stress this enough, but thank you, for being you.

I'm sad that Hi5/Spellbound studio is closed, I remember when you first got orange base with Bryan, Kevin, JFred and Michael. @onlyanaccount said, it is an end of an era. One chapter is closed and a new chapter is now opening for you, wishing you nothing but great success in this new chapter in RUclips. I really enjoyed the numerous channels that you were overseeing with my niece and nephew, thank you for entertaining the masses for the past several years.
I just made a pegboard In Injection molding and seeing it get taken apart by a creator I grew to care about is heartbreaking. Then seeing it getting put back up is what I live for. God bless you.
I’ve been watching your channels since I was a little kid and they never failed to make me laugh. I loved the project 863 series, I loved dope or nope, I loved rekt, I loved every channel and idea you created. I’m glad to see you finding peace. Even though I’m sad but I saw it coming. I’m just glad I was able to witness all you’ve done and created in the past however many years. I grew up with you and I’m so happy for you. I will continue to rewatch videos and enjoy them all over again. I still loved 863 after finding out it was scripted but it was so beautiful. I enjoyed the suspense and cliffhangers and I remember watching them as they came out. You did the best job with all you’ve done. And I hope you know how so many people have been influenced by you.
I can’t wait to see what you have in store next. I’ve enjoyed every moment of you and your crew on RUclips. You were my childhood and led me to meet new people with a common interest in 863.
I will miss the studio mat, i will miss it very much you have been apart of my life more than my own mother, and i will miss this era and generation of your channel, career, and videos. I wish to thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the laughs and all the times you made my days better when i wasn't doing well or feeling well, i will forever be thankfull for all of your efforts to make great content, i started watching when i was 4 and a half, now im 16, it has been a fun roller-coaster, being here through all of the transitions you have done from studio to studio.
Hi5/Spellbound has given me such wonderful memories. It has also launched the careers of many RUclipsrs. You have built wonderful things here Matt. We will always cherish them. And we are with you for this next chapter. God bless. ❤

Watching all these projects that you've made through the years has just been inspiring. Seeing you in this video and how the Lord has guided you through your journey speaks wonders.
