7:51 we Germans perceive ourselves all as being unpunctual, but then again being punctual means arriving 5 minutes early to us and everything more than 5 minutes late deserving of a sincere apology.
After living a year with a Mexican host brother in Canada and hanging around with the Latinos (don't know why but Germans, Russians and Latinos get really well on together) I can full heartedly say that we are very punctual people in the international comparison

As a German I think our language was made bad by social media because every word sounds bad if you scream it but we do have some pretty words like you’re welcome can be roughly translated to „bitte“ (which is like you’re welcome there’s no direct translation there) „schön“ pretty. I think the thing about the German language that throws non German speakers especially English speakers off is that we pronounce every single letter. So I know this joke about wednesday being read even in English as a joke as wet-ness-day but we do that with every single word in our language. That’s why it also can be hard to learn if you’re used to skipping or as we would say „swallow“ letters. And yeah we kinda get mad real quick but because we are annoyed by annoying people meaning someone that doesn’t follow the rules etc. But that’s just in public we are actually very open hearted towards our friends lol. Accidentally wrote an essay here sorry😂

For me as an older german male i didn't agree with the german younger female. Punctuality is a important thing in working enviroment; natural without the Deutsche Bahn. So i think she don't work just now and so she has fun and time and didn't feel the stress to be on time at and in the job and as mom or father. Punctuality is an important thing in Germany, especially at the older persons and at the job. And the younger generation is on the way to learn that, but they don't know the important of that not at the moment.
