Undead Unluck and Hell's Paradise are for me the most underated new Shonens (late 2010s / early 2020s) I'm glad they will each get new animated content.
My hype for Yandere Elf died the moment you mentioned Plus Sized Elf. Damn. On the plus side, the Chainsaw Man film looks great so I have that to look forward to!
I didn't knew what studio would adapt Yandere Dark Elf but when he mentionned Plus Sized Elf I shivered... That anime had the potential to be one of the best recent ecchi but they butchered it with ugly art and animation. Even the OST, opening and ending were bad man!
It feels a bit weird and new to me still, being this excited for new seasons of shows again. After enough years absolutely dreading new releases for my favorite franchises, and only being pleasantly surprised a couple of times, I got so used to that feeling. Now I sit through the end of a season of anime, and I'm so hopeful to see more, and so ridiculously happy when it's officially announced. Mushoku Tensei, Spice and Wolf, Spy x Family, Re:ZERO, Frieren, Edgerunners, Chainsaw Man, My Dress-Up Darling, Dandadan, Kaiju No. 8, Delicious in Dungeon, 100 Girlfriends! IT'S TOO MUCH!!! I can't contain this much hype!!!
Lots of season 2s in 2025! Lots of BTEs though I'm not complaining 😂. No news on the MDUD s2 teaser ( like a date?) and I know you talked about it before but I'm really excited for The Unwanted Undead Adventurer AND Skeleton Knight in Another World s2s! My concern as always is that this cornucopia of shows can't be sustainable. I hope there's better planning so people don't burn out! (And they get paid)
Im still waiting for dark gathering and mieruko chan secuels i need some horror anime man, also tengoku daimakyo, where is the second season or that one!? Shadows house s3, isekai ojisan s2, etc etc, my list is endless at this point haha
Vigilantes might be better than MHA since the manga was. It’ll be interesting to see it adapted :) Hells Paradise was also really good, but the adaption didn’t retain how good the manga was so I’m interested to see if it’ll manage it this time.
Ok maybe it isn’t better than MHA, but MHA kinda lost its spark after the author admitted to just changing his whole plot to cater to reader polls. The anime ruining one of its best arcs was kinda the end for my interest in the series. Vigilantes felt like more of the older MHA, so it’ll be a good series for those who want that.
The only reason that the last episode was "filler" is because they didn't want to start the next arc with only one episode to work with. Plus, the original author was involved in the script writing for it. Like LordNovaPrime1 said, it is based off of a light novel. The second volume just had its English release, and there are at least five total volumes so far.
@paulbishop251 i think there's 7 currently from what I've seen. I'd have to look again at the fan Translations. I've been meaning to get started on those Translations but im swamped with series to catch up to lol

The Yandere Dark Elf manga is a huge letdown, it has a “Mature” rating but I’ve no idea why, other manga with “Older Teen” are far more lewd. I’ve no idea why it has a mature rating, it’s the only mature manga I own (I have hundreds) that hides nip, it’s shocking that it has a mature rating when you compare it with other mature rated manga.
From what I read, yea the "Mature" parts are barely there. World's end harem was one. I personally need to read Seinen manga more. AH my Goddess I see has only vaguely adapted less than 100 chapters out of 308. Going to give it a read, same for Elfin Lied. I read about 3 to 5/ a few more than that just 5 seinen manga. One was Killing bites, another was Omihime VS (Twice) Gou-dere Sora Nagihara, Started reading Teisou Gyakuten Sekai, Black Gakkou ni Tsutometeshimatta Sensei (I read most of it, when I got into Reading Gyaru focused manga) Read Dragonar Academy World'd end harem: Fantasia. I see there are over 8,000 Seinen manga. As for having bought, a few, Sadly 12 beast was cancelled. While Monster Musume I didn't get yet, Space is an issue so yea. Am glad non of shounen Watchers moved over to check out Seinen genre.
I didn’t even watch one episode of Chainsaw Man, I fell off of the manga, I didn’t bother reading part 2 even though I liked part 1. I admit all the hype and the really annoying fans when the anime was releasing really turned me off haha.
If you take your time, you’ll be less interested in how others think and you might start to enjoy it again. You might not like part 2 anyway tho cuz it’s different to part 1 and its protagonist is different. Plus, so many ppl were truly awful about the adaptation and saying it was bad so no matter what you’ll be going against the grain anyway.
