  • This is a demo of how to build Weather Pack and Deutsch connectors! Instruction on how to crimp the terminal on to the wire, and then correctly install those terminals into their connector body.

    Good video comparison. There is an expensive tool for the Deutsch that has a screwdriver on one end and a hook on the other to easily remove the green locking piece. I’ve never broken one using the tool. Also inexpensive stamped pins are also available for the Deutsch connectors. However after using barrel pins, you’ll never go back.

    You can also get open barrel pins and sockets for Deutsch connectors if you don’t have the closed barrel crimp tool.

    As was mentioned, there is a fairly inexpensive tool to use to remove the Deutsch secondary locks. They are a pain compared to the Weatherpacks.
