- The Daily Wire's Michael Knowles held a YAF speech at UNC Greensboro where he got into a debate on abortion with an angry SJW who completely failed to make her point.

Which is why parents will hopefully see what has happened as a result of allowing others to 'educate' their children. We have an opportunity to take the mantle back and teach our own children outside of the public school sector which will promote the children to use deductive reasoning and logic when arriving at conclusions. We have to get beyond thinking that we can't have one parent home teaching children while the other one works. We really must get back to this, our children deserve it.

The blame falls mostly on parents and secondly on society as a whole. We have allowed the educational system to take over first as babysitters and that morphed into a system of total control. We allowed them to gradually move further and further away from educating to indoctrinating students. We allowed it because it was easier to let someone else raise our children than do the job ourselves. The DOE and the NEA should both be abolished and parents should have to raise their own children. Homeschooling while difficult to do, may be the only good course in a world gone totally delusional.

I agree. I home schooled my son starting in grade 7 because he was physically disabled and they completely wrote him off. Within a few years, I noticed he could think critically and had more intelligence than his previous teachers combined. Schools rot brains.
Responsibility must be shared between the government for using schools to teach compliance and conformity, the parents for placing more value on homes, cars and vacations, and society for being complacent and hoping someone else will fix the problem.

My first memory was when I was about 2 years 4 months. We were moving and I remember falling into a pool and being put in a crib to go to bed. And from then on I remember the duplex we lived in and going into the back yard. Our dog and then more and more and I'm 68 now and I remember highlights of course not everything.

My home became her home and she had a healthy boy who is now 19 yes it was tough but my son and daughter in law are still together. Her clump of cells is hard working and a joy. I love how Michael was genuinely considering her points, like when she stated he made contradictions. He made a look like, "Have I? Maybe?" or at least considered maybe she's seeing something he doesn't. And then he asked her how he's done so. He treated her with so much dignity, respect, and as a worthy conversationalist instead of somebody to mock or brush aside. His intellectual respect for opponents, even those who haven't shown matching intellectual prowess, is admirable.

The sad thing is that he burned her with respect by demonstrating her disrespect toward him and she couldn't see past her own self importance enough to notice. She is going to live her whole life thinking she schooled him and her own friends probably wont even have the decency to tell her how shallow and stupid she made herself look. I would feel sorry for her but that circumstance is probably what gave her the almost superhuman ability/desire to get up there and make herself look/sound like a tool.

I am an ER nurse and recently took care of a woman 7 weeks pregnant who was bleeding, and afraid she was miscarrying. I had to be the chaperone to her transvaginal ultrasound, as it was a male tech performing it. We sat together hearing her baby's heartbeat, and seeing this little one's head, arms, and legs. We happy cried, as her baby was ok. Now way more things like growing their second kidney are also happening at this time but let's just keep this to the ultrasound for now
Now at 6 weeks is when women typically find out they are pregnant, so abortions after 6 weeks entail ending the life of a being with a head, arms, and legs....does this sound like a " clump of cells to you"? It does not because it is not.
This is the reason pro-abortion places will turn the ultrasound away from the mom's eye view. She will not be shown the stage of development and hearing a heartbeat. I feel it's more subjective than that, and that the "humanizing" aspect you refer too is not the natural progression for everyone.
I am a very reasonable and rational person and have personal experience with most aspects of this.
My late wife experienced rape at a very early age and had an abortion. When we we're in our 20s we tried to create a family but couldn't, experiencing many miscarriages at many different stages of development, we also failed with IVF before my wife passed away after a short battle with ovarian cancer.
Having children was something that I thought about every single day. I would have been happy to label my 4 week pregnant wife as "with child", but loss tempers enthusiasm. A lot of it is terminology but as the man points out they all refer to the same thing - albeit in a continuing state of change.
Language is powerful, but lets not change reality.
Was my wife pregnant? Yes.
Am I a parent? No.
