The reason Cobus is the best drummer is because he truly loves drumming and you can see that in his facial expressions throughout the video. It makes it more enjoyable to watch and you can tell he is having an amazing time playing these covers. You Rock!
I agree that he's consistent, but most of what you hear is not what he plays, most of the songs include loops that can very easily be covered behind the set. The true power to the rhythm behind Linkin Park is actually Joe Hahn. That's why LP has been shifting more towards a techno-y sounding style rather than their older stuff which seemed a lot more true to themselves.
Well Joe is usually the main guy but No more sorrow is one of those songs that shows Rob's skills more. I think Joe should do more sampling and things like(like in nobody's listening) Linkin Park never really had "one style" they have always been different. Either way their new albums coming out and the two songs released are alot less electronic. So it should be pretty sick
all the other drum covers ive seen of this song, everyone is always argueing "is the intro played snare & then flams on the rims of the snare, or the rims of a tom, or some other creative idea" and cobus once again has answered a vital question with "i dont give a fuck, i'm not gunna do anything, i'm gunna sit here in my awesome seat looking at my awesome snare be awesome.
@Exothermite Its a double bass pedal. You can use both feet to get a faster rhythm goining on the bass drum. Makes it easier. Cobus is definately a master at it.

Just by watching a few of his videos you can tell he puts his mind, heart, body, and soul into it and and you can see for yourself it's not fake; he has freaking amazing talent. All of you haters shut up cause he's much better than you. This one, Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold, and Face Down by The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus are my favorite. Crazy amazing. @Theg3n35i5 I am not positive on this but I'm pretty sure he just compresses the drum tracks and mixes them so that they basically go right over the original drum tracks and block them out. I know that's what he did on some of his older videos but I'm not sure about the newer ones like this one.

Rob isn't a extremely technical drummer but what he writes fits well and he almost never messes up,he also is very clean and consistent.
