I wish more drummers in bands would play like Cobus, he adds in things that he wants to add in rather than sticking to the exact song or the notes that show up, it makes each and every song way more exciting and seriously just makes the audience awe-struck at how amazing the art of drumming truly is.

This cover is a little too busy for my tastes. The original was such a good blend of simple beats with tasty accents thrown in. A little too much going on here

Watching any Cobus video is bittersweet. You cant help but look at all of them because hes amazing yet you wish you could stop because as a drummer, he makes all hope and self esteem crash and burn :P keep rockin man!
@TheGh0stGamer Well said. I definitely understand what you're saying, and after thinking about it for a bit I guess I can agree with that as well.. A good drummer shouldn't always be about what makes him sound better as a drummer, but rather what makes the song sound best as a whole, and chad definitely did an amazing job at balancing both of those in the original. So I retract my statement that said cobus 'blew him (chad) away', but this is definitely still a badass cover.
you are amazing and a great role model for other drummers, I picked up playing percussion now and love it, but I really like the covers of hip hop and those types of songs, the one without a legit drum set behind them. These aren't bad (far from it) I just enjoy the others more.
@TheGh0stGamer I don't think so.. It's almost identical, but Cobus adds a few things here and there I think.. If you listen to the studio version of this song, and then go back to this cover you can hear a few differences. For Ex: At about 0:34-0:39 he adds a few notes that Chad doesn't play in the studio version. I'm sure there are others but idw sit here trying to find them hah. There are a few minor additions but it makes the cover that much better.
