Carlos' game is almost identical to what he has now, heavy ground strokes, exquisite touch for volleys, insane speed for court coverage; but now he has a much better serve and much more aggressive return of serve
Amazing match for Carlitos. Normally, this game would have been an onslaught b/c Carlitos is younger. But it's not the age. It's the tennis I.Q. that makes invincible!
Been following all his matches the past 2 years and he's a breath of fresh air and makes tennis great again. LOL it's always been great but him and Skinner are going to be the new kids on the block. Plus there are some great ones out there.
Just checked the ATP player profile …Vives is now 613 on the computer with not a lot of prize money I’m afraid. He’s two years older than Carlitos. All I’ll say is this Carlitos has earned over 31mi$$ion, World no.3 and four GS at age 21! 🏆🏆🏆🏆🇪🇸💰💰💰💰
After Monika Seles no one should be called "genius". At this age, she played professional tournament as an amateur in 1988. The following year, she turned professional, and joined the professional tour full-time, winning her first career title at Houston the very next year, beating Chris Evert in the final. A month later, she reached the semifinals at the French Open, losing to then-world no. 1 Steffi Graf. She finished her first year on the tour ranked world no. 6! That's what genius is!

That kickserve wasnt too shabby either though, from both players btw.
Tactics are the same from u12 all the way to goat level. At elite level they’re just implemented with way more speed, strength, flexibility, fitness.

Both kids play great tennis. Fun to watch.

11:17 nice one hander even tho the point was already finished!
He has great talent in 1 handed back hand, if he has chosen only 1 handed bh, he would have been federer 2.o
I was thinking the same thing. There’s not a shot he can’t make. Even at a young age he had a really good all-around game.
great sportsmanship at 6:20
What was he apologising for?
Both players are good but Vives has not made and impact on the ATP tour yet but maybe it will come. Amazing Alcaraz of course so much talent going on.

35 triệu đola rồi...
What about the 200m Nike deal he just signed lol
Tennis is a brutal sport.
the 16 year old could play D1 college already!
of cause, he was #1 or 2 in Spain for 16s.
@@whuang03 I will never understand people who comment replies like this
I bet when Michael Chang won the French Open at 17 years of age, he could have played D2 college tennis...if he kept practicing!
@@Epistemicwriter 🤣
He plays for TCU right now and is top 500 atp
Beyond talented!
Its not surprising he did well here, he turned pro at 15. He won his first atp tournament 4 years after this though. Prodigy.
He has a new grunt now
FYI this was 2017, the year of NeoFed
Such speed and brutal groundies at 14!!
He has the exact same mannerisms
He is going to win 30 grand slams😁
At 14 he could probabaly win most city Open level tournaments in the USA.
lmao no shit?
Great Carlos! 👍😍
Did he win the final? This footage was from the semis, right?
Estoy segura de que nos dará muchas alegrías, con Nadal a muerte y ahora con Carlos.
Vives plays for TCU now
so hes not professional level good?
@@samp1568 peak ranking 515

To think this was on clay, now he's a grass court champion too, against Novak, over prime Federer could beat this guy!
