    How do you guys think Carlitos will do in Roland Garros?

    • @carlosgomez7400
      @carlosgomez7400 6 месяцев назад +3

      Carlitos will do well at the French open,providing he stop trying to be " the show man on the court" and concentrate on how to win matches and tournaments. Carlitos is a gifted and very athletic tennis player.

      If healthy he will win it. I love his game. He’s the most exciting and naturally talented player on the tour. Tennis suffers when he suffers.

      It's a shame that winning RG makes it even more challenging for him to defend both his atp 500 Queen's and Wimbledon 2k pts! And because of scheduling with Olympics he's already stated he is more focused on a singles Gold and team up with Rafa for his 2nd dubs Gold after he and childhood friend Mark Lopez had one of the most touching celebrations I've ever seen from Rafa. I think it was rt up there with his 14RG's in terms of pure Joy...Rafa has never thought about saving $ on taxes like other players, moving residence to tax havens like Monte Carlo, etc. I love that he's the only one of the Big 3 with a Gold Medal ... Worth a couple Slams, no?

    Carlos highlights are gold. I have yet to see any player as aggressive as Roger was. This guy Carlos ia just what the sport needed after the Maestro retired. Makes me appreciate Roger Rafa, and Novak even more. Wonderful job here.

      Carlos has something for everyone to like. He has the aggressive style of Federer, but mixed with that explosive movement and powerful forehand of Nadal, and the open stance backhand/flexibility kinda reminds me of Novak. The talent there is insane; he just needs to get it together by cutting down some of the unforced errors, and then we could literally see a stretch where Alcaraz starts to look like 2005 Federer, especially as the tour gets weaker and his only main rival is Sinner.

    • @pawshands9706

      @@SJ-di5zu Agreed, if only Carlos can find a fitness regimen that can keeo him feom frequent injuries. A Alcaraz vs Sinner rivalry would be spectacular. My new favorites after Roger.

    SO many beautiful points. Alcaraz and Sinner might be the new Nadal and Federer. Also unusual for a young player to play to the crowd as effectively as Alcaraz can, the way so many different crowds absolutely roar with their approval is something else!

  • @jcotrone
    @jcotrone 5 месяцев назад +7

    Right now, this is the highest level of tennis I have ever seen! Including the big three! Based on court coverage and Raquet control! Alcaraz's tennis IQ is also up there with Federer and Nadal. The question is, with the energy expended with Carlos's style of play, can he stay away from injury and maintain that coverage as he gets older??? If he can, he will be one of the all-time greats!

      Ngl this clay season has been so boring without Alcaraz and Sinner on top of their games. The main beacon of light has been being able to watch Nadal play again, but he’s not really threatening for big titles.
      Seriously, a Rublev/FAA M1000 final followed by Zverev vs Jarry.

      @ Did not purposefully mean to be! Sometimes my texts come out as abrasive, but I’ll always speak the truth about my take on the current state of talent; relative to contrasts in historical talent and abilities.
      There’s no doubt that Alcaraz is supernatural and will only get better. Both at their best would be an absolute monster movie and every tennis players dream come true to witness, so we’re left with only speculation as to the outcome. My suggestion/fantasy is for Fed to give it one last shot, but it still wouldn’t be fair because of Alcaraz’s age and stamina.
