Since I am retired, I do lots of crafts and I’m sure I could make something real cool with it! This is my first time to watch your channel as Porsche caught my eye. If not the wheel, maybe something else you think would be good for crafts? Great channel guys!
With the carbon rotor I would do the following. 1. 3d print a new hub that it will attach the rotor to a electric motor 2. Mount an esp32 in the hub to control the motor and led lights. 3. Put an led in each vent 4. Run a light show in the rotor and have it spin in my garage as a back drop
As an engineer, I used to make retrofit brake kits for carbon brakes swap. Have done a lot of projects, including F458 Challenge brakes to GTR 34 swap, F430 brakes to Golf R's

I would love the carbon brake rotor to display behind a BBS wheels that I cut the face off. I'm about to have it powder coated and hang in the garage with a custom fabbed mounting bracket and spare wheel hub to hold it all together. As cool as these things are with launch control and overall speed, I've told everyone that braking from high speed with these things is even funner. What an experience!
@@scraplifegarage yeah, the wastegates get stuck and we have to replace the turbos after not even 3 years and 20k miles… but they get updated turbos then and porsche pays for everything. Btw very nice content guys, i usually have a very short attention span but i watched all your videos from the beginning til the end :D
Just discovered you guys!! I'm used to watching restorations of this kind of damage, however those restos wouldn't happen without scrappers so keep it up gentlemen!! If you still have the cluster, what would you want for it? want to try and make it hook up so come racing simulators I have. Think it would be pretty cool as a side project :)
Well with the impact wrench you can use it to loosen bolts, but you should not use them whilst tightening bolts. For tightening use a torque wrench. Why dont you guys get a workplace manual on this Porsche 911 Turbo S? Its the way to go to get things to where it needs to be. Greetings, Jeff

I could use the crest as an insert on the center armrest. Great episode. Is there a follow up episode? Keep the videos coming!!
I bought the two fans set-up called (surge fans) placed on top of the engine ,I installed them in my V70 sleeper Turbo 5 cyl Volvo under two hood louvers ,with a heat gauge and a manual switch ,they're perfect to cool down & ventilate any hot engine bay ,amazing..!!
The trunk relay is where the fuse box is and if you short the positive to ground it will oppen I did it with my Nanna’s 993 that she crashed into a mailbox and totaled she need ied to get supplies form it
I can use it as a main brake for a big go cart I can do the breaking system that hummers have it would be plenty and the damage on it wouldint matter because of how slow it would be spinning

To open this trunk it is possible to put some electricy (12v) by number plate light and then use key(remote) to open this trunk. It works, I had the same issue. Take care !
just the centre cap logos cost £55 each here in uk, i know as replaced two on my 911 turbo s...they tend to get tatty, those turbos on later 2018 are worth thousands as the 2018 has better actuators that are more sealed and dont stick like the pre 2018 model.
I have already built a wall clock out of a destroyed Porsche 911 rim that I cut the spokes off of, so I would love a companion rim to make another clock for my office (the other is in my workshop, next to the 918 A-arm I have mounted on the wall). I just love Porsche, and all the parts that make them.
On the carbon disc, If I used it for myself I’d probably turn it into a sun dial of sorts. But I’d probably want to give it to my brother as an ultimate photo frame build for a digital photo frame. Something he can put up in the shop and watch some functional art.

Every Porsche Cayenne Platinum Edition has front and rear headrests embossed with the Porsche crest, it is a common option on all models just for your info. Doesn't make it any less attractive though😍
I'm a glass blower. I'd use your carbon ceramic rotor as a mold for either a bowl, blown into it hot, or perhaps a slumped large round plate. The glass would take on the features and texture of the rotor.....
