Love florshiem loafers new and old ...whats the sizing like on them? For example I wear an 8.5-9 across most athletic sneakers...would you say loafers are true to size or should i buy a 9 (new or vintage) to be on the safe side
If you’re dancing particularly, you have to get true to size otherwise some movements feel very weird. I used to dance in size 8 loafers but I’m actually a 7,5. True to size although little makes a huge difference and impact on some moves!
@@HaydenHuynh interesting...I have a slightly wide and tAll foot so some loafers are too tight but for example bass weejuns 8.5 are perfect for me...i guess i should scoop a second hand size 9 for the cheap to be safe before i splurge...thanks for the info
pretty sad for me that the florshiem shop isnt in england and only in america, 11 years was worth it, well actually 12 now since its 2022 but i remember seeing those shoes on ebay
Yeah with Florsheim stores it’s a hit or miss now. They’re mainly accessible online and that it’s popular in the US. Even in Australia, there is Florsheim e shoe stores but rarely but even then, they don’t sell good shoes like they used to - they now going into the lower quality territory with the materials and the styles that they have and still charging expensive prices for them. And I had bought those shoes in late 2020 but the video had released in 2021 - maybe because i was busy and therefore couldn’t upload the video as quick as I thought i would have. With Florsheim loafers for MJ dancing, vintage is the way to go or you’d need to splurge on the Como or Como Imperials but that being said though, as I don’t dance / perform that often then I’m happy with these :)
@@HaydenHuynh Sorry for asking alot of questions but did you get those shoes from the florshiem shoes website wich isnt out or are u in the USA and you got it from the store (also i want to see you dance with them)
@@Keengbob I got these shoes from eBay (maybe it was mentioned in the video, I'm not too sure) but I got it new second hand for around $50. I don't like the new Florshiem in terms of it's price and it's quality, it's not the same and that I've owned a new Florshiem with a rubber sole and the sole disintegrated after 2 months of just wearing it. Like I said in the video, buy vintage when it comes to Florshiems as you're getting more bang for the buck. For recent dance videos that has it, I've been uploading a lot of dance videos with the shoes, you can tell it's the Florshiem due to the shoe strap (one literally being yesterday) If you're just looking for other loafer alternatives, our channel sponsor has 2 x models that have smoothened soles, you can check it out here - use the code huynh10 to get 10% off your purchase: tritononlinestore.online/
I’ve always danced with a rubber heel so I’m used to the feeling. The rubber heel does not have that much traction compared to other shoes but that’s just the way how i feel it.
Just a question have you ever tried putting talc down on the floor when using rubber soles or leather for that fact ?? Northern soul dancers do it and my the glide u get is awesome .

I don't edit on phones when it comes to RUclips editing It's far too limiting and since that I'm using film equipment, I cannot simply just edit on a phone. I used to use iMovie on my iPhone and iPad but then once you improve and upgrade on your production quality - phones are simply not good for editing, probably get away with just filming casual stuff. if you're taking RUclips and editing seriously, I'd invest in a laptop or a computer and use simple video editing software. You'd need to do some research on it though as there's a lot of video editing software and technology out there. Really depends on the videos that you're creating, if phones work for you then that's good! Phones don't work for my workflow however

Is it hard to dance with a rubber heel shoe?
I’ve always danced with a rubber heel so I’m used to the feeling. The rubber heel does not have that much traction compared to other shoes but that’s just the way how i feel it.
Is como imperials shoes good?
Yes they are however the soles are very fragile if you’re dancing a lot. I’ve made a lot of videos on Florsheims
Just a question have you ever tried putting talc down on the floor when using rubber soles or leather for that fact ?? Northern soul dancers do it and my the glide u get is awesome .
I haven't tried that yet! Perhaps I shall invest in some talc! :)
