The original Florsheim Como’s are a game changer, hands down! 💯 The weight in the heels keeps your center of gravity down, the vamp supports your foot more securely, and the flexibility in the toe is a warm welcome over stiffer loafer models like Bass or Sebago. I will admit they’re definitely not the most robust shoe, so I tend to use them sparingly. I found that they work best for me in the first 3 months before I need to get a fresh pair, and then I’ll keep the older ones as backup/rehearsal shoes. If you ever get your hands on a pair of the Como Imperials, they’ll last much longer and are even more comfortable. Switching between my usual Weejuns and the Comos between nights definitely helps with extending their lifespan. You’re in for a real treat, Hayden! ✨💯
another great review these are the main florsheim i use i had mine for about 2 years and they are still good might be my favorite mj dancing shows hands down

Hey Hayden, long time MJ fan here and I finally got these exact shoes. I’m just wondering how you glide in these? When I’m trying to slide my feet I feel like my feet are glued to the ground because of the rubber heel. Do you have any advice on how to glide around smoother?
Yeah it’s all just wearing and breaking them down so your feet is used to it. That’s what I’ve noticed when I first wore them. The heal was really stiff but I worn them out for a day and that I did some practice dancing and that the heel is kinda worn in now. The thing with those heels is that although it’s a bit clunky, once you wear it down it’s gets easier as you dance along
You’ve gotta go to the shoe tailor and ask them to give you a leather heel, that’s what Michael did to all his loafers look at pictures of his
Hello Hayden what is the penny loafer brand for tor stand ?
You’d have to trial and error some of the shoe brands in person. Some of the shoes they look like they have a sturdy toe but they don’t. I can’t really recommend a brand because sometimes they change the design

I need to get myself to a UK H&M to see if they have them loafers. Have you tried Talc on the floor yet ?
I do not have any talcum powder so I have not tried that method before
@HaydenHuynh well maybe one day you'll get too 🤣🤣 the amount of friction lost between shoes and floor . if u were too RUclips you'll see Jive and even Northern soul dancers preparing the floor with it for that reason.

I mean they're not really technically Como Imperials because they're vintage models however I guess they're very close to it. I'm a size 7 US Men's. You know what they say about big feet...

I mean that's the quality that you're paying for. I wouldn't recommend buying it new I would look for it for a pre-owned or like new condition first. That's usually the best deals if it's worn once or twice and it's like new - that's for a cheap price
