Isaiah 9 6. For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace. 6. To God Alone Be All The Glory. Hallelujah. Amen.
The Messiah lyrics are pretty much direct quoting of scripture telling the whole story of the Messiah. This song is from the prophet Isaiah chapter 9 foretelling the birth of Christ hundreds of years before it happened. The Hallelujah Chorus at the end of Handel's Messiah is from Revelation. The final victory of Christ over all sin and His promise to reign forever.
@@mialee7254 Just a minor correction... Hallelujah is not at the very end of Messiah; it's actually at the end of Part 2. The final chorus is "Worthy is the Lamb/Amen" at the end of Part 3.

Is there any version that has only the i instrumental score without voices?
The messiah without the choral parts? Why would you want 40% of the score at most?
@@jazzrgm7 to practice maybe?
i wish there were measure numbers

If I may ask, why so?
