Note: The keywords "worth the RUclips hype?" was a key point that got me here. So just a heads up for future video titles. Such a great title and delivery in how you brought up all the other big names we all know. Just made your review that much more authentic.
I too think this is a very useful and versatile piece of kit. Yes, it costs a bit but compare that with most filter sets where you need a filter or step-up rings to cover all your options then it's pretty cheap - certainly value for money. Good build quality and minimal colour casts. Just one thing, I wished they had included the lens caps in the bundle - they too are very good and well worth getting.
Thanks for the honesty. Quick sub for that, alone. I can't tell you how many of those kinds of youtubers that I've unsubbed from for putting out commercials disguised as "reviews". It's a huge pet peeve to make it 20 minutes into a "review" before they disclose that the company is sponsoring the video(to make sure they get the RUclips-required length of viewer watch time on the video for monetization), or reached out to the youtuber for a review and sent them a free copy of the product in exchange. I don't even care if I hear "I received the product for free, but the company has no say in my review". Uh huh. I'm sure they're willing to risk future free products and video content for giving a bad review. 🙄 I'm well over it. Being an honest reviewer is a rare.
New sub here. This video was extremely helpful! Thank you. Great work on all the B-Roll. Really great delivery of all your talking points. Audio and the cuts were perfect. Great job man!
I have an ultra thin 82mm CPL, if I screwed it to the front of the revoring, are the B modules able to still magnetically attach to it with the CPL on the front?
You say it can cause vignetting and you zoom to get rid of it so would you recommend it if using prime lenses then? I guess you could still crop it out in post etc.
You should be able to connect the two, but keep in mind the combined weight of the two rings. The weight would be an issue for most shooting. Maybe for gimbal work though. Not a bad solution especially if you’re using a really nice filter.

A video idea for ya, talk about how you get such GREAT video images while wearing glasses, and getting no reflections! Wow, nice!
Haha. That would be a good topic. The reflections get in there, but I try to minimize them.
Does it work in conjuction with a UV or filter in front of the lens then a revo ring with another filter attached to the revo?

Hi. This was not the magnetic version. I’ve been curious about the magnetic adapter myself.
You say it can cause vignetting and you zoom to get rid of it so would you recommend it if using prime lenses then? I guess you could still crop it out in post etc.
True. It’s not much less of an issue in video. I find myself using non variable mostly making stills.
Can anyone please tell me if the cpl can unscrew off ? The one sold with the cpl
Included
Hi Matthew! I've just purchased a revo ring 67-82mm with a polar filter 77mm. Is it going to fit? Thanks a lot!
You need the 82mm size to be able to adapt it. The 67-82mm range refers to the lens side.
@@MatthewFortner thanks God I've asked. Gonna change it now, thank you very much Matthew
Hi matterw can this work with non H&Y filter?
is it possible to screw multiple filters on the recording?
You can stack threaded filters as normal.
Can you combine 2 revorings to use the biggest vnd cpl version on smaller lenses?
