I have a 96 12 valve. I blew up my overdrive on my built trans as well but didn't get stranded thankfully. Found the snap ring in pieces on the bottom of the pan. Doing too many high way pulls and 4WD launches lol
that turbo flutter is really bad for that brand new turbo. What's happening is its jerking the whole thing on its shaft back-and-forth. if that makes sense. The compressor shaft . Quickest way to wear out a turbo. Only way to avoid that is to go easy on throttle when you're about to hit overdrive. Try to keep it from doing that as much as you can. I'm not sure how to fix that to be honest, besides a blow off valve, which would be difficult to hook up and a little useless, because that shift is so quick. I had a blow off valve on my Cummins hooked up to vacuum on a switch so I could manually dump the air right before I shift to the next gear.
did you replace the trans cooler and remove the check valve, flushing the cooler does not get all the crap out, also there's new ones out that have more cooling capacity, mishimoto/fleece.
Guys from power driven diesel know what they're doing brother
You look great man lost some weight! Hell ya give that 24v some power

Try a Banks tuner. Cleanest tunes I’ve come across. Good power and good mileage if you keep your foot out of it.

Yeah that’s what I’ve been trying to do, right before that shift, ease off the throttle. Most of the time it doesn’t do it now.

and what did they find wrong with the trans??
Maybe I missed this. What is the stall speed of the torque converter?
What gauges are those
What are you going to do with the fleece Turbo
I might sell it, not sure yet.. I always end up buying these trucks, so might put it on something else.
What transmission you got?
stage 3 47RE from Tier One transmissions
Clamps should be 180 from the tightening point when using 2 together
Sell me your fleece!
WT mod for the grounds
