A 6.0L Powerstroke idling is pretty much the sound of my childhood. My neighborhood was under construction growing up in the early 2000s and everyone either had Super Dutys with Powerstrokes, Vortec Gas Chevys, or older Cummins Dodges...but mostly the newer Fords (at the time)
A 7.3 is one of those motors you have to hear with your own ears to really appreciate the sound. A 7.3 rumbles when you hear it with your own ears. The echo from a 7.3 when it drives through town is awesome.
Fizzi It was a Detroit Turbo V8 that was used when the OBS came out from General Motors,after the 6.2 was no longer available.It was also used in the AM General Humvees,the Humvee has always used Detroits such as the 6.2 and 6.5 Turbo.The Military even had CUCV ll's that had the 6.5.The CUCV that was a Squarebody had the older 6.2.
The speedometer at 1:40 reminds me of myself in middle school. When a girl sitting across from me would rub her feet in between my legs I would have the same reaction. lol
6.4l power strokes also sound pretty nice too. Minus the glaring issues with the engines. And don’t forget about the 6.7 cummins, they sound great too.
Tuna Sandwiches too bad they're gutless and love to eat cylinder walls and crankshaft. Lol I used to own two, the sound was great but my duramax was 100x more fun and reliable.
...I too love the sound of the 6.5, I had one my own, my duramax now sounds good too but just not as good, but way more usable power without overheating and very very reliable, think the older engines sound best!

I’m about to buy an obs 97 f350 crew cab (not supercrew, just bench seat) duelly 7.3 5 speed with a flat bed (found an original 97 dually bed with original bumper that I’d get for it if I do buy it) with 125k miles and in total it’ll cost 2500 bucks 😂 only reason I haven’t bought it yet is it’s only rwd 😭
@@DylanC828 if you know that you wont be using 4x4 often or at all trust me it's not worth the extra money. Doing any maintenance to the front axle of my 4x4 f350 is a pain in the ass. It's so much simpler on a 2wd.

I don't see how anyone can hate on Cummins it's a perfect diesel engine it's been around since the 30s it was originally used in sawmills in the 30s and now it's in anything and everything from trains to Big Rigs off road equipment heavy machinery generators and caterpillars the only other company that can compete with Cummins.

My 97HD 250 D-SO gets complemented for it's exhaust note, I'm biased but the 7.3 with high mileage and 4" turbo back exhaust is eargasmic!
