- Pro chef Saúl Montiel from Cantina Rooftop and home cook Lorenzo are swapping recipes and hitting the kitchen to start the morning right with breakfast tacos. We provided Lorenzo with all the ingredients necessary to make chef Saúl’s over-the-top $248 taco recipe, sending only $15 worth of materials back the other direction. Could our all-star home cook rise to the challenge or did chef Saúl’s breakfast tacos rule the day?

It would interesting to see 2 pro chefs trade ingredients with no recipe and see what they come up with!
Frank would give u a bag of soil a handful of seeds and a chicken…
@@ooinvsaoo ah yes, the classic homesteader's dilemma: do you feed the seeds to the chicken or let them grow into vegetables?
@@ooinvsaoo frank would give you the seeds to grow your own kitchen😂
Hell yeah! Now that is a grat idea.
@@ooinvsaoo homemade soil no less
One thing chef Saul has definitely taught me is that to be a true professional chef you have to hashbrown your tortillas and tortilla your hashbrowns. Wise man
It's all good man.
😆😆
lorenzo is basically a professional chef but he didn't go to culinary school
I took this from another comment
😂
😂
“product of mexico, ah. new mexico you mean?” THAT KILLED ME
THE SHADE
I’m dead😂
Saúl and Lorenzo, the level of charisma in this episode is off the charts!
Agreed!
Almost as much as Chef Frank and Emily
True! The two most
Outgoing chefs head-to-head!
I love these two. They're both just beacons of light and always so happy and personable. I'm glad they're here together.
I slightly prefer frank over the other professional chefs, but that's just because of nostalgia/bias, and most of them and entertaining too, just admitting my bias tho.
Saul stabbing the sausage while chanting CRACKED ME UP 😂
It's meme worthy. 😂
Not a popular opinion but I'm so happy to see chef Saúl to explain his recipe himself!
Same ! No offense to Rose but I feel like its totally useless to have someone else explain than the chef itself😂
Especially since there wasn’t any crazy cooking methods used
Might not be a popular opinion but I've never understood why Rose was the one explaining things. It always seemed, for a lack of a better way to word it, pointless to have her.
I didn’t even notice Rose missing 😅
I like rose when she does food scienc-y stuff like in 4 levels of, but the chef's explaining their own recipes are far better
“product of mexico, huh new mexico you mean?” I LAUGHED HELP
These two guys together are not only wonderful chefs, but a fantastic comedy team. I kept laughing out loud - for real.
in a way they remind me of Colin and Ryan from "Who's Line is it Anyway?"
@@kred792 I can for sure see it.
Saúl always seems like he's having the best time, I love it.
well he gets to do the cheese trick
He made the $15 ones look much more fancy than even the expensive tacos.
You must be new here.... welcome🤣
That’s kinda the point… and it happens every video..
@@amasterfuldesktop4935 Not like this though. The expensive one always looks better to me, but not here.
Jill Biden approved comment!
My brother you really underestimating the raw value of the "carnitas"
The fancy recipe are cool, but what really impresses me is what most of the pro-chefs are able to make out of the everyday cheap ingredients.
Also, the level of positive energy with both Lorenzo and Saul in the same episode is off the chart.
yay, I will celebrate the win with the Nigerian prince that just put me in charge of his gold!
P
Ppp
When he started stabbing the sausage and saying “die” that’s when I knew I was in the right place
At this point the home cook chef is a pro 😂 I swear he’s learned a lot by now.

Chef Saul Got To Be The Coolest and Most Entertaining Chef In The World
I flip-flop between him and Frank. They both bring so much joy and enthusiasm into what they do, I truly enjoy watching them both
@@kred792 same frank and saul are awesome! So much personality and their love for food!
Best duo.
We need Pro Chef & Pro Chef Swap Ingredients... and when I say pro chef, I mean Saul and Frank...
Also it would be fun to see Home Cook & Home Cook Swap Ingredients... in this case, I vote for Emily and Lorenzo...
That’s a genius idea😂
Definitely the best pairings!
I'd also be down for Daniel and Lorenzo.
for Home Cook vs Home Cook, I'd wanna see Beth and Steven switch just cause I feel they'd have such a different approach to what ingredients they'd bring
The fantastic four 😁
The dad jokes and shade 🤌 Saúl’s ‘eggs-pert’ comment had me belly laughing
u have mad me belly laughing ;D
The saltiness of chef saúl because he didn’t get anything spicy 🤣🤣🤣
And the way he read the bottle sauce lol
True Mexican lol
@@angelaguilar9222 Nah, not all of them like spicy nor is all their food spicy.
Damn. Lorenzo is nailing these challenges so hard he doesnt even need Rose's Help
OH MY STARTS THEY ARE TRYING THEIR TACOS TOGETHER. I am so glad it happened with Saúl and Lorenzo. Bien, muchachos!
I love seeing Chef Saul in these videos
Lorenzo always brings a smile to my face.
I never thought that a simple show idea like this would teach me so much about cooking!! thanks you all! greeting from Brazil!
I’m so used to the home cook calling for Rose, minus the time Frank wouldnt let Lorenzo call. So when it just skipped to Lorenzo doing the things I was yelling “…Rose?!” To my phone 🤣
I wanted to hear more about clarifying butter and why the double-boiler was necessary from my favorite food scientist! 🎉😂
Me too
More of these two, they are the most fun and wholesome guys on this channel!
Chef Saúl is such a humble genius.
Lorenzo needs to be allowed to go wild in a grocery store and get whatever he wants, and the chef needs to guess the recipe and make it.
He also needs to get instructions
You know what's amazing about this? A Filipino and a Mexican, sharing experiences. Just like in history. ^^
I am going to chef Saul’s restaurant on a trip to NY in a few weeks and I CANT WAIT 😍
I love Lorenzo, he's hilarious and he just jumps right in w/ no fear!!
Saul is right; spicy and sweet IS always good together. Lorenzo and Saul make the best duo!
Amazing! The 2 best chefs that could’ve been chosen
Another video with my favorite professional Chef Saúl ❤
I was just wondering when Saul and Lorenzo were gonna be in another episode - super happy to seem them back together
I love this combo, these are great guys
I wanna see Saul vs Frank one day!!! Make it happen please 🙏
Saul, even New Mexico would not claim that 😅
This is probably the best episode 😂. I laughed so much. 😂
Both Lorenzo and Saul are people full of personality. 😂❤
Saul's puns and out of the context humor are so good! 😂
Chef Saul even nailed the Eggland’s Best ad!
Saul its all about technique and inventive, not just expensive ingredients. I learned a lot from the two preparations
Yo my boy Saul ❤! Dang he’s showing his Chef Level 3 skills! He made those $15 look 🔥 😍
They make a good team. It was nice of Chef Saul to recognize that not everyone likes cilantro.
These are actually my two favourite people on this channel. So entertaining.
At this point Lorenzo is the pro chef
Both tacos looked incredible… I must try the hash brown tortilla now.
I can't believe chef Saúl took sooooo long to get into my life.
I can honestly say I love him.
I love how Saúl and Lorenzo interact. And it's a treat to see how Saúl used the tortillas for something else, and then made new ones using the potatoes and cheese. Both versions looked superb.
Two best ppl
together
makes everything better.
THe world is healing
They are so good together! And Chef Saul is such a great teacher
Best duo ever! I never skip their videos, they're so nice, funny and interesting! Love it!
I always enjoy the energy of these gentlemen. Thank you all for the time and effort on making these series.
I adore Lorenzo’s attitude toward everything. He has so much energy that just feels so bright. He’s a goofy dude and I’m here for it
LOVE this chef combo! ❤ I get excited every time I see one of them in a video but both together is the BEST 💕💕💕
Saul and Lorenzo, what a combo. More please.
I love this video for so many different reasons. The food looks delicious and their humor and personalities are so fun!
Saul is my absolute favorite in every way.
I absolutely love watching chef Saul and Lorenzo
I love the fact that they both had a great time cooking. It made this a joy to watch! ❤
Saul on the thumbnail = watch immediately
More Saul, please! He's the best thing to ever happen to this channel.
Saw Lorenzo and Chef Saul on the same thumbnail; dropped everything to watch this video immediately.
Saúl is so wholesome. Such a humble guy.
delicious!! so proud of Lorenzo for not needing help, but I can't help but miss rose!!
I can never get tired watching Chef Saul’s cheese trick
Love them both. More vids featuring Chef Saul and Lorenzo please
These two are my favorite chefs for this!
Chef Saul's recipe is amazing. Omg i love both Lorenzo and Saul energies so much
When Chef Saul grabs sal de gusano and Lorenzo freaks out cuz hes thinks its too much and Saul just calmly said "its not enough" 😂
I like that y'all had the two meet up afterwards and try each other's food! I always wanted to see that in the past 😁
The best video this month! I love Saul and Lorenzo 😍😍
Y’all always get the best ppl for these vids
This video was posted during my early recovery period after I went to the hospital for jaw surgery and I just got to watching it today and it was very calm and relaxing and really made me feel good during my recovery period...so thank you.
Get well soon Alex
These two guys were absolutely delightful to watch! So much fun and positivity. Mochas gracias amigos
Can you imagine if Lorenzo was ever interviewed by Jimmy Fallon?
Jimmy: Hello Lorenzo
Lorenzo: ahah
Jimmy: AHAHAH
Lorenzo: _AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH_
Jimmy: *_AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHAHAHAHAHHHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH_*
etc
These are my two favorite cooks, it is so great to see them together!
Oh I had some good laughs couldn't get better then Lorenzo and saul
In no particular order, I absolutely love chef Saul, Chef Frank, Emily, Lorenzo and Rose
While I love Rose and I watch the other videos with her in it, I think I prefer her to not be in these videos. Having the chef explain is so nice to see. Awesome work guys!!
You know what's the most important part of the video? Lorenzo did it without the help of Rose!!! Bravo!!!
Lorenzo 🤣🤣🤣🤣 he was like "holiday" sauce! That's what I heard !
Lorenzo is slowly becoming a pro chef by doing so many of these videos😂
Love watching videos with my guy Saúl
Love how enthusiastic and open Lorenzo is!
They're so cute!!!! Their energy is so perfect, they're like brothers or best friends
We need more of these two😂
Awesome episode, love Saul and Lorenzo ❤
I just saw Lorenzo in a commercial on tv! He’s goin places!
both of them r just an absolute treasure
Saul and Lorenzo! Yay! Twice the fun!
I love these videos! They bring me joy. 😌
“Wow!!!! Where?” Is also me having to buy my weekly groceries and hearing the total 😅
Two of my favorite chefs!!!
I would like a Chef Frank & Chef Saul crossover so badly
They both have amazing personality
New series idea. Give them pro chefs random ingredients and see what they come up with. Could love to the creativity of saul and frank
Saul and lorenzo together is great i love them sm 😭
Chef Saul saying: "pa la otra tirame un chile" jajaja albuuuur 😂
I think that these guys are my absolute two favorites on this channel 😎
Their dynamic is great
I love them eating and trying it together!
