Joe's humor is on point. Love him and hope to see more of him in the future Chef Saul is one of the greats, always knows how to bring a smile to my face
Joe seems like a great new addition to the channel, good sense of humor, knows his way around cooking with enough confidence yet he is very humble. Hope we'll see more of him. (Chef Saul is The Legend so no comment needed).
Saul is definitely the star of this video (sorry for misspelling his name). It’s not how he makes something that is potentially bland into something exciting, it’s his monologue. He should do stand-up cooking! He made me laugh out loud several time!
Saúl needs his own cooking show. As much as I love these ingredient swap videos, I really want to see what they both would have made with their own ingredients.
Chef Saul is amazing and has such a great sense of humor. I was lucky enough to meet him at his restaurant on my vacation in December! He was so nice irl too 😊
i want to see a pro vs pro swap ingredients where each pro would swap ingredients with different styles but understand how to cook it and they cook the dish with their own twist. i reckon it would be a good watch
Saúl is definitely the most entertaining out of all these episodes. I enjoy watching cooking but him talking over everything just makes it 10x better and funnier.
"An acquired taste". Years ago, when I lived in the city of Campbell River, in BC Canada, I stopped at my local little store when walking home. One of the Vietnamese owners was standing by the till eating something from a jar. I asked what that might be, and he told me it was dried sate anchovies and offered me some while also telling me I probably wouldn't like it. I tasted it, told him that ya, it would be an acquired taste, and went home. By the time I got home, with the taste in my mouth, I found I had to go back as I had acquired the taste! Bought 2 jars!
"Some people think chili is meant to be with beans, or without beans. My recipe does not have beans. This recipe has beans. Deal with it." Chef is right. It's chili, who cares, get yourself a bowl and eat up.
Saul is as great as he always is, love it. Joe is also great, he brings a more realistic view, I feel like a lot of the other homecooks are just a bit too much aiming for their 15 minutes of fame while Joe feels more genuine. Great episode
I love Saul's energy lol 😆 😌 💕 he really brings a certain dynamic in this video. Joe is definitely becoming one of my favorite home cooks lol so relatable 😂 🤣
This chef needs to be on the cooking channel, or somewhere on the television for goodness sake. He's very personable and certainly knows what he's doing. I really enjoyed this video.
Chef Saul has the makings of a future villain. I feel like he is gonna turn soon. Starting to see signs. Tale as old as time: the nicest guy turning into the villainous badass.
Empire brand Ground Turkey, as someone who keeps Kosher, nice to see the biggest Kosher Poultry brand being represented. Shame the full recipe wasnt kosher. And Saul, i s one of my three favorite professional chefs here, and always a delight to watch
01:09 - "It was going to be the best Chili ever created by the human civilization." - The only person who can say that and I believe it unconditionally is Saul.
I love Saúl. When he was saying batter, I thought he was saying butter because of his accent. I love it though. Joe was humorous and it was nice to see someone new. Does anyone know why Rose is no longer on the pro vs home cook? Is she no longer available?
there just wasn't much of a reason for her, wonderful as she is. The extra step of "the chef won't tell them how to cook it so Rose appears to do it" just wasn't needed. Just let the chef explain to the camera as they go, a bit more organic experience. She's still in the other 4 levels videos.
I would love to see an episode where two chefs bring their expensive ingredients and do the same swap to see what they will do with the swapped ingredients. Probably not including what they were making when they swap, just trays of ingredients.
"I'm just kidding. I'm still poor."
Never change, Chef Saul.
Broke Saul...
Hmm...
Me too, Saúl, me too
Saul spending 300 dollars for food: *nah im kidding im still broke*
better call saul
I love how Chef Saul always tried to go as far off the tracks as he can 😂 "Chili? Okay, imma make a casserole with meatballs."
but still chili-esque and that's the fun part
And then the casserole came out more like a Shepard's pie. XD
Chili casserole is a wonderful thing. Saul is just a great dude.
Saul needs his own show. He is absolutely the best
better call saul
Better char Saul. I’m always looking forward to him charing something, and he never disappoints me 😂
i agree he is funny and his food looks great
Joe's humor is on point. Love him and hope to see more of him in the future
Chef Saul is one of the greats, always knows how to bring a smile to my face
Joe is really funny
Joe and Saul are a great combination. Joe is just as funny as Saul! "I have a cactus at home, once it sees this..."
That had me crying 😂😂😂😂😂
It's because Saul is so good, he match with everyone and everything. Simple.
Joe seems like a great new addition to the channel, good sense of humor, knows his way around cooking with enough confidence yet he is very humble. Hope we'll see more of him.

yup
Spells it correctly, but apologizing for misspelling it. Right...
@@TheMrCC21 British…
@@TheMrCC21 Missing the accent on the ‘u’. English keyboard.
@@TheMrCC21 They didn't put the ú as in Saúl, they put Saul because they propably doesn't have the letter ú on their keyboard
It’s 9am. I’ve got work to do. It’s the perfect time to watch these guys make magic. The rest of my day can wait.
Agreed! Got to start the day with a good laugh, and Saul never fails. He needs his own segment because I’d be hooked.
And so can sleep
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 ❤❤❤❤
"I googled the word blanch and it means boil" - I never related more to a home cook 👍🏻
Because we really needed a backup word for it.
That line and his delivery were perfect.
It means whiten
“Which is good, we needed a backup word for that” 😂
Boiling is a higher theme then blanching
Saúl needs his own cooking show. As much as I love these ingredient swap videos, I really want to see what they both would have made with their own ingredients.
Check out his RUclips page, Chef Saùl Montiel and you will see some of what he cooks
These two are pure comedy together, love how they got along at the end too. Just goes to show the connective power of good food and drink!
OmG “a leaf big enough to paddle a boat with” “even chef’s have feelings”😂 This is great!
Chef Saul is amazing and has such a great sense of humor. I was lucky enough to meet him at his restaurant on my vacation in December! He was so nice irl too 😊
Omg!! How was the food? What did you eat?
Yes how was the food? 😊😊😊😊
Where is his restaurant???
@@andrew-rc8se It's called Cantina Rooftop in NYC.
Chef Saul: *puts cheese and says it's enough*
Also Chef Saul: *POURS THE ENTIRE BAG OF CHEESE*
You can NEVER have enough cheese 😆 🤣 😂
It’s safe to say that Saul crosses language barriers when he says “eating and drinking is my life” mine too bud mine too.
Anthony Bourdain rest in peace - has always pointed out that we're all the same, want good food and friends to share it with
Saul is back! Let him test Emily’s new level please!
She’s a new level ??? Since when
@@WRXAshlee Since the three levels of boneless wings episode
I think Chef frank should LOL
Watching Chef Saul becoming this extrovert and confident from a shy & introvert chef is something else. Love the transition.
Hands down the best episode like this. Something so pure about a traditional Hispanic dish made with humor. Love it. 🙏
Always love seeing chef Saul on here!
i want to see a pro vs pro swap ingredients where each pro would swap ingredients with different styles but understand how to cook it and they cook the dish with their own twist. i reckon it would be a good watch
They should do it and not tell them so they think a home cook gave them their ingredients and are using their recipe too lol
As a german, im proud of chef Saul for opening a beer like that. Well done.
Also i would die to Taste one of his dishes, i enjoy every of his Videos.
Joe is the true star of these videos. Get him to do more! SOMEONE EMPLOY MY BOY!
Appreciate ya 🫡
Saúl is like the Bob Ross of Mexican cuisine. Such positivity!
Joe has a good comedic timing. A+
Saúl is definitely the most entertaining out of all these episodes. I enjoy watching cooking but him talking over everything just makes it 10x better and funnier.
The other one with Joe is great too.
Gotta say that's the most effort I've ever seen someone put into jiffy mix.
Chef Saul needs his own show!
Better Call Saul
Chef Saul a gem as always but I absolutely love Joe's vibe

Wow!!!
Best chili ever created by the human civilization.. 😂😂😂 Chef Saul is awesome man!!!
Lots of people could claim that about their chili and I wouldn't believe them, but if Chef Saul says it, you know it's the truth.
"I Googled the word "blanch, " and it means "boil" which is good, we needed a backup for that" hahahahahha how good is Joe 😂😂😂
It always amazes me what Saúl is able to achieve using the given ingredients, a magnificent showcase of skill.
I've never resonated with a statement more than "That's my life. Just eating and drinking"
These two were hysterical, love the combination.
I think they’re officially my favorite duo, please pair them together more!
I love both of these guys! So fun to hear their commentary. Saul is hilarious. Joe did such a beautiful job cutting that cactus. Looked like a pro!
this is by far one of my favorite videos 🥺 i love joe and chef saul, we need more videos of them together!!
So many quotable lines from this! Loved every second of it! Joe is officially my favorite home chef.
Thanks Bob!!
I loved this episode. Would really enjoy seeing more of this pair together !

Saúl is an absolute treat whenever he's on. If I ever make my way over there, I'm going to his restaurant
Saul and Joe, a great pairing if ever there was one. Chef on gents!!😊😊

Chef's Saul energy is always over the roof. Its contagious.
An onion hack that actually works...you're the best Chef Saul - no more tears in my kitchen 😃😃
imagine a saul and frank swapping ingredients. one is very Mexican and the other is Italian. make it happen epicurious!!!
I so loved this chef pairing! I think as much as Emily and Frank!!
Welcome Joe you did excellent and Saúl wonderful as always!
These two are hilarious and great personalities! I'd love to see a series with both of them.
I've been waiting for this episode forever! I wish they did a 4 levels episode on Chilli!
This was done so well and you had fun in the adventure. Thank you for sharing.
Saul is fantastic on camera now, i enjoy these so much. and Joe is also a great addition, more!
Chef Saul is definitely one of my favorites on this show, I enjoy watching him cook and be so creative with food
The way Chef Saul quenelles that sour cream so effortlessly was beautiful to watch
Saúl Montiel is probably my favorite professional on this channel. I don’t think anybody can beat out Lorenzo, but he comes pretty close.
Chef Saul is a genius... I love the way he totally transforms the ingredients, absolutely downright whimsical in the best sense of the word
this may be the best video thus far in the series
I genuinely love seeing Chef Saul
We need these two back on together. Outstanding comedy duo 🤣
