The most difficult task of translating this game is that even top translators find it difficult, because ancient Chinese and modern Chinese have greatly changed from current Chinese, and current Chinese cannot express the artistic conception of ancient Chinese. Many text contents, including lines, in this game will come from Chinese classical literary works, not just from Journey to the West. These are very difficult for Chinese people to understand.
Chinese are still very good to understand, they are related, ancient Chinese is actually difficult in the proper nouns, we will learn ancient Chinese in school, but translating into English is a big problem for translators, there is no way the problem between languages can only rely on learning, but let the player to learn too unrealistic
Souls like fans shouldn’t get butt hurt about anything anyone has to say about this game cause it’s not a souls like at all…And I’m so happy it’s not cause souls games are played out.

tbh, playing this game with the Chinese dialog could be more immersive and has more impact than playing it with English dialog. For me, Games are more memorable when i play them in their original state (Except M&K settings and Motion Blur)
yeah nobody in China wants to play an English or Japanse game in those languages, they'll play it in the Chinese dub. Always play in your native language if possible. It's not immersive if you can't understand what is being said.

These people are impossible to please. Where are they going to include more diverse characters? You can only play one character as the story is about him. It's like people forget it's a 1-10 scale and stopped counting at 6 or 7. A true 8 represents near excellence. There are real mediocre games out there and the problem is they're so often inflated to a 6/7 instead of 4/5 that represents mediocre to poor. Too many 7's.
I wonder if these companies don't have most of the bugs when they test it, because the game is built on their systems. So they run perfectly, but when they launch, there are so many different pc builds and so many console variations, software, hardware and products in player's systems, that they can't or don't detect what could go wrong pre-launch. Maybe they can only know if a bug exists after they put it out into the world on unfamiliar systems. Then they analyze the crash reports and begin to repair the bugs at that point. Im not giving these companies a way out, but in all fairness there are millions of possible variations of users and in the days of yester-year, almost all systems were limited to a few consoles, a few video cards and a few types of pc builds. Thoughts?
If you analogize reviewing a game to doing detective work, theyre doing it backwards. They had a conclusion and looked for evidence to support their conclusion. Simple confirmation bias. Way cool.

Regarding the Shadow of the Erdtree comparison, think of Sekiro as a stand-in for Wukong. In Elden Ring you can brute force pretty much anything with some cheesy ass build but in Sekiro you basically have no choice but to master the mechanics. Action games were always more difficult than Soulslikes imo, compare Ninja Gaiden Black/Sigma to Demon's Souls.

Plus, with next-gen GPUs coming soon, performance won’t be a big deal for long. As for the technical issues, those can be patched. Hopefully, the day one patch will smooth things out.
