Cheers FU75 glad you like it , I think they both look rather cool, pleased with them, of course massive thanks goes the RLrc for the help with the ProCat build. Many thanks take care
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 Agreed, they can be finicky, or is it called having character, i remember the performance different a well built CAT could give,... and i remember mine lol, As for RLrc, yes i've been enjoying his content, and i've got your back catalogue to go through aswell, win win. Cheers Fu.
Cheers :) thanks very much. It’s a real joy to drive. like you say super smooth as well. It has Loads of steering and good steering imput. Thanks for watching and take care
That Procat looks and runs great! Never built a Schumacher before but from what I’ve seen, they aren’t the easiest of builds and probably require specialised tools. Thanks for sharing!
Hiya, the cougar classic was ok just a couple of fiddly things but I managed it. The procat I definitely needed help on because some of the things I’d of psychically found hard, don’t let it put you off, though circlips wound really help when building the shocks. What you did end up with a great running buggy :)
Cheers Jason , it’s a real thoroughbred drives so well , although I need to ditch the kit servo saver, it kept slipping. Loads of steering on it and steering input is great 👍 cheers for watching ;)
Nice to see it out and getting dirty 😁 thanks for the shout out, more than happy to help out any time. Hopefully you might decide to run it at the lakeland classic 😁
Ha ha , you never know I may run it at the classic. Cheers for all your help with it, was much appreciated, no worries for the shout out. I needed Tom get a running video in so just had to go with it dirty or not ;)
Thanks, Andy looks very nice with the colour you painted This rerelease rc cars are a dream, i wait to buy the cougar classic when they have more stock.
Cheers Pete , well I had lots of help from Richard on this build I would of struggled myself and the filming credit goes to my wife ;) glad you enjoyed it though, thanks again
Hi Coryn cheers for checking out the video. It’s a beautiful buggy really smooth and drives really well. If your looking for a vintage buggy well worth looking at
It is a really cool buggy and it runs and sounds great! I looked at getting one but they are bit on the pricier side compared to the Cougar, which my backorder has finally arrived of that! I may change my mind once I build up the Cougar. We really don't have the best parts support for these kits here in the states but I do like the styling of them a lot! Glad you were able to get a break in the glum weather to get out and run it!
Hi Addam, I love the sound of this when it’s running and how smooth it is. It’s definitely a few more pennies than the Cougar, glad you got it in the end. It’s a shame there’s not much support for Schumacher over in the US , I guess it’s hard with associated and losi being home manufacturers. I remember in the very late 90’s /early 2000 The fireblade won in the US and Schumacher released tge schumacher fireblade 2000 USA. Cheers for watching
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 There is a bit more of a following and support on the west coast and a few other areas where racing is really prevalent but where I am it is non existent and finding parts online is difficult as they sell out as soon as shipments arrive. I am looking forward to building the cougar as it is going to be a heavily used track car I think. It looks like it will perform well and since I have no ties to it from growing up I don't mind a few more dings and scrapes in it!!
Do love the cobalt green. I’ve got a Procat on order 😃 Btw I’ve finished the Thunder Blitz and uploaded a running video and photos to RUclips if you want to see it. I put a Torque Tuned in it. It’s fun to drive
Big thumbs up from me! 👍 The ProCat is a fabulous looking buggy. 😎Love the design on it. Not sure if they'll ever make it over here, but given how expensive the Cougar Classic is, I'd imagine this would be big ¥¥¥¥ if it was.
Hi David cheers, thank you. Would be cool if the Schumacher buggy’s make it over to Japan but like you say they could be big money. It’s a good looker and it was a well engineered buggy back in the day and was definitely built for competition. Cheers for watching :)

Hi Glen to be honest I’d say no to a cougar Classic for just park use, yes it’s a great buggy and drive superbly but for just park use a good Tamiya 2wd like dt02 or dt03 or if you have a bit extra the Tamiya td2 astute is awesome and would be totally fine and good fun round a park. Now if you were considering vintage racing then Definitely a cougar classic ;) hope that helps
Been waiting for this video mate😁,I've been wanting to try a Schumacher kit for a while,I wanted the XLS a while ago but found out they'd stopped them again😢,so I just hope after Christmas there's some of these procats left🤞.Great running vid Andy 👍 she sounds great👌
Hi Carl, I imagine they won’t be stopping the Procat just yet , so there should be some after Xmas. It’s a very nice kit and a little easier to build over the XLS. Cheers for watching and I love the sound as well ;)
I've just completed building one of these, what an ordeal! Totally worth it tho, cause dang. I put a Castle Sidewinder SC/3800kv in mine, with a 27 tooth pinon and it just rips. It handles so good too. No regrets! Side note, you into psychobilly? Meteors, Demented Are Go, Tiger Army? Stuff like that? Been watching your videos for a minute, you got the hair, and you always wear Creepers!
Very nice , just be careful with your transmission as. Hot brushless motors. May require the pro transmission installing . On a musical note I like all sorts from Goth, deathrock, rockabilly/psychobilly, horrorpunk, some country etc
Please help: Unless I leave the 4 long thru-bolts in the front bulkhead very loose, the transmission will not roll easily. My belt tensions are not too tight. Thanks I’m advance!
Hi Brandon , from you description it sounds like something isn’t quite seated right or something is binding, I don’t have my procat anymore to look. Plus must admit I’m not a Schumacher expert I tell you who maybe able to help better than me and that’s Richard at RLrc RUclips channel knows slot about Schumacher race buggy’s . I hope that’s helped a little
@@andyrobinsonrc2480 Thank you. I'll check it out again, but I pretty sure nothing is binding. Also - Those Schumacher bodies are garbage. I just used a small bit of Tamiya paint remover to touch up and it ate through the lexan

Those are snap ring pliers. Snap rings are used pretty much in every car made (real car). You can go almost anywhere to find them.
