@@danielvilliers612 They have four Z mount 50mm lenses, however, I don't think being complicated is a reason for not creating a retro version. It would be the same lens as the 50mm 1.4 just a retro version. What would be complicated with that?

@@Telly26 This would rely on a complete redesign of the aperture system, I don't think nikon is going in that direction anymore as the new ring can not only do aperture but you can for example configure it for ISO etc. Making it much more versatile.

Has some nice soft bokeh albeit missing the stunningly sharp pop of the Z f1.8 version. However, someone didn't pay attention to avoiding the horrid green cast on her skin! Surprisingly unprofessional, Nikon! The Z 50 mm lenses f1.8 S and the new f1.4 are at about the same price now ...

what wrong with nikon, canon and sony are introducing new cameras in both photography and cine line yet you re there lagin behind,,, am tired of nikon and time to switch. now update to crop sensor cameras, z5 mark ii? z50 mark ii....,. so unfortunate
