By far my favorite song by Little River Band. I like to recommend this song for anyone testing the quality of their sound system. This recording is flawless.
Great song, Great reaction. Love watching you enjoy this song. I remember it from 1976 (?), although this version has been remastured a bit. LRB never got the credit they deserved. Well done.
This is my favourite LRB song ever ! I just love it, loved your reaction too. I always feel this song should be longer - I could listen to it all day 😁
in 1980, Eagles founding member, the late Glenn Frey, dubbed the Australian pop group “the best singing band in the world.” Glenn toured with them a while, and I think LRB was the Eagles opening act for a while... until LRB got as big (or bigger) then the Eagles. Glad you didn't react to the short (radio) version of this song! Thanks for posting!
Calder Raceway, just outside Melbourne 1977 Huge band concert - Santana, Little River Band, Fleetwood Mac, & other bands. Mac was the big one. But they kept everyone waiting, were an hour late and in the end were too stoned to play. The Melbourne crowd booed them mercilessly. The Little River Band stole the show with everyone singing Help Is On It's Way.
This was the song that Glenn Wheatley, the bands manager, took to the record executives to try and break the band into America. The execs hated it(too long, bands are dead, it all disco now, etc - this was 1975 remember!), but the public loved it and the rest is history as they say.
@ TRE: Excellent band from Australia. TEN Top 20 singles in the States from 78-83. Brilliant songs but they didn't show off the band's rock chops. So most people here know them only as a sophisticated pop band.
Nice take....this song is deep rock and will knock your socks off...from hot lead solo to 12 string symphonic rock!...Use headphones man...you are good.
Tre Narcisse, This was the song that Glenn Wheatley took to the US record executives to try and break the band into the USA. Listen to the words, the song is about this exact thing - being on the road trying to break it big. The execs hated this song, citing examples of "bands are dead, it's all solo artists now like eric Clapton" or "We can't sell this, it's all disco music now" For context, this was 1975, just as disco exploded and bands like The Eagles were in decline in their eyes. so it was a hard sell that failed at first (this shows just how much those execs didn't know, writing off the Eagles and this band in the same breath). They still broke the USA in spite of the execs opinions, and this song was chosen for that job because it showcased the full range of the band's talents, hence it's 8 minute runtime(a BIG no-no in the 70's was to have a song ran longer than about 4 minutes - funny that this one and "American pie" by Don Maclean are 2 of the best known 70's compositions, both being over 8 minutes long :-) ) .
I know, right? You expect to walk into a Holiday Inn bar and see The Little River Band there. The guitar work on this, and their song "The Night Owl" are both spectacular. Many of their songs are fine, but those two stand out. You hear them and you think, "where the hell did THAT come from"? At about 5:27 .....uh-oh....here it comes!
The 70s WERE really good nice & mellow I know cuz I was there ( also note the 60s were great too) 😁Since you seem to like guitar & harmony you might like Guitar Man by Bread🤷
for more aussie gold, try Windchase.....Horsemen To Symphinity, or Boogie Woogie Waltz, by ayers rock. just as good as this stuff, and no one knows about it.
richard Four Moments is one of my all time favourite albums. But I am pretty sure that around where I live (i.e. the Netherlands) just a small batch of progrock fans actually know of them and have heard it.

By far my favorite song by Little River Band. I like to recommend this song for anyone testing the quality of their sound system. This recording is flawless.

It’s like a thrill ride
My favorite by Little River Band! They have so many hits, but this is so instrumentally the best one of there songs.
We were so lucky in Australia to have musicians of this calibre. And there are so many more that the U.S. was never exposed to.
Exactly , a masterpiece !
im from usa i think should be in rock hall of fame here i never thought got enough respect here sold 35 million albums
Great song, Great reaction. Love watching you enjoy this song. I remember it from 1976 (?), although this version has been remastured a bit. LRB never got the credit they deserved. Well done.
It like they saved up all the guitar solos and stuffed em onto one glorious song. 👍
Extra points for playing the full version!
Great fucking music. Period !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is my favourite LRB song ever ! I just love it, loved your reaction too. I always feel this song should be longer - I could listen to it all day 😁
Pure class! If there is such a thing as an underrated classic this is it.
Never heard this one. Obviously too long for radio format - but man, that guitarist is cookin'. And the vocal harmonies are top notch.
Thanks for your expertise Tre. It's really nice hearing what you have to say. The Little River Band has a lot to offer.

Just an amazing guitar solo.
Always like LRB. Good music, sound. They were always tight. Made my morning. Thanks
Hey Dre, you're right, always been an excellent Band.
saw these guys back in the day, they were on the same bill as fleetwood mac, mac couldn't hold a candle to these guys.
Calder Raceway, just outside Melbourne 1977

The radio stations played a much shorter version and many never got to enjoy the whole masterpiece.
Love this song 💙

So true. They could rock harder than most people realized.
Just watched, thank you, so much.
They were huge back in the day and have an awesome back catalogue. One of my favourites of theirs is a song called "Emma".

Couldn't agree more Tre .....great song.
Nice take....this song is deep rock and will knock your socks off...from hot lead solo to 12 string symphonic rock!...Use headphones man...you are good.

The beginning of southern rock (IMO).
