      I think one of these in the effects loop of a fireball will make it a cheaper powerball with more shaping options.

    Best EQ pedal out right now. I upgraded to one from a MXR 10 band and it’s insane the amount of time control and shaping this thing is capable of.

      I was planning to do the same, but decided on the Source Audio EQ2, instead. Two separate programmable EQs that can be controlled with an external expression pedal is too cool 🤘

    • @Left_Hand_Path
      @Left_Hand_Path Год назад

      @@derek_d that one was right up there when I was making my choice. The fact you get 2 in 1 is awesome to run one in the loop and one up front was definitely appealing!

      Would argue that that honor goes Source Audio EQ2. Not just much more parametric control, but everything is MIDI programmable as presets.

    I'm building basically my 1st pedal board in 35 years as I've played Bass in bands since the 90's. While I still have all of my pedals when I was a teenager in the 80's I've been looking for an EQ and a boost and your demo has convinced me to look into this pedal more but I think my mind is pretty much made up. I'm also an amp tech and really want to see how it can make my 1950's converted tube PA amps sound with this. Great video and thanks for the head's up.
    Edit: Just found you on Instagram and followed you there!

    Excellent pedal, reminds me of the Horizon Devices Precision Overdrive pedal. This pedal sounds perfect for removing the woofy lows and tighten the low end right up. Thanks for putting this on my next pedal list.

    I've been using a Wampler EQuator (Eq/boost) for a quite a few years now and it's been great. After hearing this I may be due for a bit of an upgrade. I really like the switchable boost.

  • @smeemusic

    This pedal is quite the premium product. That being said I've been using the boss eq200 here lately. When I found out I could use it both in front of my amp AND in the fx loop at the same time, oh it was game over. I had to have one. And then for the bonus its fully midi programmable. So I'm able to have completely different settings for both in front and behind my amp on clean channels and my different drive channels. I even have one setting for cutting all my lows and highs and boosting the mids to get that megaphone effect.
    I think if more people knew about how flexible eq pedals can be, they would all have them. A good eq pedal and proper use of it can make almost any amp sound exactly the way you want.

    Great pedal! I have an Orange Two Stroke pedal which is also a parametric EQ, though it deals with the high and lows, no mids, but is also a lot cheaper…it does have a boost too… the Orange is a great sounding pedal with a lot of tone shaping ability, but if I had the money, this one gives you more control. EQ pedals are the least sexy pedals, but are the most powerful and my favorite.

    I own the previous version of this pedal. For some reason, the fact that it's parametric has led me to always use it in the loop (even though my MXR 10-band EQ is a staple in front of my amp). Interesting to see if used only in front of the amp in a video. It works amazingly well to fine tune an amp's tone in the loop.
