I'm glad to see some companies working to make their stuff less processed - firstly because I'd imagine that there would be demand AND because trolls try to tell us that all we eat is ultra processed stuff. It's now replaced "you just eat rabbit food" as their favourite argument against veganism. So this is a positive development from several perspectives.
Hahaha this is so true! I love it, first was 'all you eat is rabbit food', then 'it's all high processed' and then back to 'rabbit food' 🤣🤣 All while they sit behind a keyboard eating ultra high processed non-vegan food haha
All my local Waitrose have a decent comprehensive vegan range. The Plant Living brand/range js Waitrose own brand and its what rhey have been doing for along time but rebranded/new packaging from this month. That Plant Living Indian meal for 2 bag is amazing and fantastic value - you get so much food and really tasty. If I see it yellow stickered i always buy even if i freeze the fishes. Personally Waitrose is abit more expensive but I think worth it - ibe never had a "dud" Plant Living product. They are great for selling branded products you cant buy anywhere else.
I 100% agree with you, whenever we do a more experimental recipe we often rely on Waitrose to have the specialty ingredients and they hardly ever let us down! And you're so right, they deliver, even if more expensive. Ok - time for me to try the Indian bag!!
22:17 suitable for vegans under 2 black labels my friend, exellent video thanks for the inspiration! as my chrons disease illness has been bad latel and trying to get my appetite up! keep warm n dry mate
You are MORE than welcome!!! Magnum ice creams should definitely do the job of keeping the appetite up :) Really hope your chrons starts to feel better asap 💪
I love the frugality but I think you may be waiting a while! 🤣🤣🤣 You're right it is exceeeeedingly expensive! However you do get two, and it seriously is one of the best vegan meats I've ever tried!!
Well, the silver lining is that although we do have some truly epic vegan options - it is incredibly grey and cold here compared to the Caribbean hahaha!
Thanks for reaching out! The only definition I can find of 'Trose' is a 'paintball term used to challenge', so as much as I love paintballing, I'm not sure I can help here!

I don't mind some processing but I'm honestly so grossed out by fake meat lol. I'd love to see some really good ready-made quiche on the shelves

Which Waitrose was this ? My local one needs to get more options 😮
Haha! This is a Waitrose in Kent! That's interesting that they are different, mine is quite a big one so perhaps that helps??
I've never tried the This Isn't sausages. Need to put this right!
YES! They are SERIOUSLY good.

everything looks great
I was really shocked too!
I'm too frugal to buy the Juicy Marbles and am waiting (perhaps in vain!) for the price to come down!

@@YourVeganFoodExplorer I can't eat things like Juicy Marbles as it looks too much like meat, which I don't like to think about..
@@angelvisions444 ditto
@@angelvisions444 yes I can totally understand that - and it is super realistic so definitely stay away haha
Yeah waitrose has been really good recently
Agreed! I go there quite often for smaller things, but my mind was blown really digging down into the options.
Im in the Caribbean :(
