I can honestly say this is my favourite place in the Philippines to date. Almost any where you go in this wonderful country you can find beautiful beaches and crystal clear waters :) But its harder to come by these amazing landscapes and cool climates that I love so much! I might be a little bias since I come from the foothills of mountains in Canada. But the fresh air and untouched beauty of Arakan, North Cotabato blew my mind. I cant wait to go back :)
Enjoyed watching your video, fighterboys! Hope you can also visit Romblon, visited it last May and was awed by its beauty especially Cresta de Gallo in Sibuyan Island
Personally, I really do appreciate your ADVOCACY in breaking the stereotypes about Mindanao. Your vlogs and positive experiences should definitely be seen in a bigger scene; and I know one day it will be. You got a big heart, Kulas!
This video made me emotional and brought me to tears. It took me back two years ago when I was part of a mission team to Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur. We were there sharing the love and Word of God to the local indigenous tribe known as the Subanens (I believe those in these video are Dumagats). Although it was not my first time to go there, but that time I was with a group of people from Manila who at first had a negative image of Mindanao based on what they see and hear on media. But when they (we) were greeted with open arms by the local community, provided with their best provisions (the locals harvested rice and vegetables for our entire stay), they even slaughtered some of their livestock (they made a lechon for us), and took us around the area to see the great wonders of nature (waterfalls, fresh water streams, rice paddies, mountain views), the Manilenos who were with me fell in love with the people and with the place, in fact our ministry adopted the community and support the local children by providing them with their school needs. The missions team I was with in 2016 vowed to come back with me next year, and a few more are coming back with us. Daghang salamat Kulas for this awesome video! :-)
Ivan Feliciano Those people know God better than anyone else because they commune with nature all their lives. I find it hypocritical for lowlanders to "bring" the "word of God" to the very people who live God's presence in all their lives' moments. Let's call a spade a spade. You believe that these people are heathens for not believing in your version of god. So you go to them and convert them to your religious views and soon these converted indigenous people will start rejecting their ancestral ways of worshipping God and thus causing conflict within their tribe among those who remain loyal to their ancestors' religious culture and God-view and with your new converts. I hope you reflect on your missionary work and just leave these people with their culture, religious practices and concept of God intact and without the influence of your western inspired religious cults!
Hi latesukiyaki. I'm just wondering how you came to the conclusion that we went to the hinterlands to promote religion? I guess you missed the part where I mentioned that we were there to share the love and Word of God. And I am shocked that you would think that people from the hinterlands are "heathen", because when we went there that thought didn't even cross our minds. We went to a mission field established by the family of my high school classmate since their father set up a church in the area back in 1971. The "heathens" you refer to are believers of the faith and practice evangelical teachings, and they happened to be Subanens at the same time. I was there in my capacity as a translator because I speak both Cebuano and the Sinubanen dialect. Nothing was taken away from them, especially their cultural heritage, in fact we were treated to Subanen tribal dances when we were there. I believe you are just misled by preconceived notions that all who go into missions promote religion and are there to convert "heathens" to civilized humans. I'm sorry that you have been misinformed. And I guess you also missed the part that these posts of Kyle Jennerman promote good vibes with no politics or biased attached. Anyways, good vibes to you.
Hi Ivan, 1. As an ex Christian missionary I know exactly what you mean by "sharing the love and word of God". Of course you are not there to promote "religion" because you consider your faith as relationship with Jesus and not a religion. But you can deny everything, yet we all know why exactly you went there and that is to convert the natives to your cult. 2. I do not consider people from the highlands as heathens. I used to when I was a Christian missionary and for you to deny that is hypocrisy to the highest level! Why the need to share the love and words of God to those people? Do you really think that they do not know God loves them and they do not know God's message? 3. And it did not cross your mind that those people were heathens. Of course you didn't. This is the magic of brainwashing. You just felt that you have a BETTER understanding of God's love and words that you felt the need to "share" them to those people. If you did not feel that way, in anyway superior to them, you will not do such "sharing". 4. The Subanens were already evangelicals since 1971. So you proved my point. So there was no conversion? How did they become evangelicals? By a magic wand? 5. Nothing was taken away from them? This is the same mentality that the Christian missionaries had when they converted the aboriginals of Australia to Christianity! And we all know the evil effects of such conversions to the aboriginals. 6. A culture is not about dance. A culture is an identity. And native cultures are all about rituals which as an evangelical, you will find as too animistic for your belief. Would you like to participate in a ritual dance praising and worshipping the spirits that inhabit the mountains? Of course you won't! And still nothing is taken away from them? 7. Kulas posts are all about good vibes. As you can notice he never promote or share his culture to the natives, he never share God's love and words to them. He visits the place, appreciate the culture and let the native go on with their intrinsic way of living. No judgment, no feeling of superiority and no conversion to whatever sect or cult or idea it may be. And as a respect for Kulas, I shall not post any further comment. You would like it when Jehovah's Witnesses share the love of God and the words of God to your own family and then one or two of your own family members convert to their cult and start attacking your faith as blasphemous and pagan? I believe you won't and yet you do it to other people anyway...

Honestly, when you say the place Cotabato. First thing that will pop out in the mind of people are kidnapping, bombing and terrorism. But, thru this video, #Fighterboys and the rest of the team. Enjoying with out worrying of what I mentioned that can be the hindrance of any travellers going to Cotabato. Me, as a true daughter of Mindanao, feel emotional as I watch you guys, care free and enjoys travelling Mindanao. This is the start of breaking that peoples description about Mindanao. Thank you Kulas, and the rest of the #FighterBoys #MindanaoAdventure
You guys are experiencing something most people in the world will never experience for themselves. However, just by sharing, we all experience a goodness in the world we otherwise would never know. Thank you for all your positivity and bringing us on your journey.
That had to be one of the most spectacular falls in the country. Its grandeur eclipsed only by how grandly you've delivered Mindanao to us many who do not know her. I, for one, have fallen in love with her, but that was some 30 episodes ago. Without doubt, you are Mindanao's greatest ambassador.
The multi-tiered waterfalls was worth the long walk you did Fighter Boys. Appreciated your great determination to get there with your stamina and reserved energy in walking back. Your Ate Jenn so humble and patient guide is a great friend of nature and to nature lover adventurers 'fighter boys'. I liked your videos and this one is superbly an inspiration. Eating fresh ripe banana is good and freshly grilled corn dipped in strawberry jam a yummy idea. Kyle you're a born leader and great model in the group. Cheers!!!
Wow Wow Wow! What an epic Majestic view, that is mesmerizing...you guys are very lucky to have an adventure like this, what a beautiful Mindanao is...thank you for sharing this adventures to your viewers, more adventures to come I hope🙂

Beautiful.. thank you for this... and for supporting the locals...they need all the respect and support they can get... beautiful people... I love Philippines
Supporting local communities n indigenous produce is as noble as it can get. Supermarkets n Malls can do w/o your patronage..they sure would survive.. but reaching out to people whose lifes you could make a difference is whats truly heart warming ! Thats where my dollars/pesos have been hitting the mark for some time now. Cheers Kulas for the shout out on this distinct cause !
Daghan salamat Kulas for your noble work of highlighting the beauty of the Philippines to the world. Your work helps dispel unfounded rumors that the Philippines is not safe for locals and foreigners alike. More so, your vlogs show how warm and friendly our people truly are.
Wow! What a beautiful waterfalls! This is the 1st time I've seen this amazing work of nature. As a saying goes "Difficult roads leads to beautiful destinations" it's worth it.. to know the people and places they offer. I get mixed emotions everytime i watched your vlogs. It's kinda makes me reflect on the simplicity of life and an eye opener to how beautiful my home is thru the eyes of foreigners. You guys are no longer foreigners in our eyes, and will always be in our hearts. Thank you #fighterboys and the localboys & ate jen of course😊 You know what makes me sad? Is when the video has to end 😔 Keep safe always and God bless. 🙂✌️
"When you come here, DON'T YOU EVER HAGGLE. Just support the local community, and be thankful you got to meet these beautiful people." This line got me teary eyed. Thank you for voicing out something I also promote and encourage. These people don't always get fair prices for their products.
Wow....namis ko tuloy probinsya nmin😥 Grabe ang ganda naman jan💚 Salamat sainyo brad Kulas at sa buong #fighterboys sa pagmamahal nyo sa pilipinas. Ingat kayo palagi.god bless you all!

The beauty of the falls and the surrounding hills and mountains left me speechless. Thanks Kiulas for bringing me there. When you guys are together the synergy in the fun and entertainemnt factor just goes off the charts: i.e. all of you together is greater than the sum of each of you added individually.
Fighter boys and your Filo alalays are all amazing doing together this journey to show the beauty of the Philippines its natural resources and hospitality, positivity of Filipinos no matter how difficult the situation is. Beautiful.. thank you for this... and for supporting the locals...they need all the respect and support they can get... beautiful people...
Support Local :)
Wow...very beautiful falls....crystal clear water I like it...
Daghan salamat Kulas for your noble work of highlighting the beauty of the Philippines to the world. Your work helps dispel unfounded rumors that the Philippines is not safe for locals and foreigners alike. More so, your vlogs show how warm and friendly our people truly are.
Now THATS the province!! Good vibes... and the wealthiest people you will ever meet !! Ayus !!
Is when the video has to end 😔
Keep safe always and God bless. 🙂✌️
"When you come here, DON'T YOU EVER HAGGLE. Just support the local community, and be thankful you got to meet these beautiful people." This line got me teary eyed. Thank you for voicing out something I also promote and encourage. These people don't always get fair prices for their products.
Wow....namis ko tuloy probinsya nmin😥
Grabe ang ganda naman jan💚
Salamat sainyo brad Kulas at sa buong #fighterboys sa pagmamahal nyo sa pilipinas.

You are a great person, Kulas. You have the heart for indigenous people in the Philippines. By the way, that hike to the falls looked fun to watch but I guess much better to actually do it. Nindot kaau ang kabungturan (hill range). Kuyaw lang maligid😁 Godspeed your adventures, #fighterboys!

It's in these off beaten places that you will see the true spirit of the Philippines. The locals are unpretentious , friendly, gracious, and very welcoming. Thank you Kulas for showing to the world the beauty of the Philippines. Salamat kapatid.
God bless you all we will always be looking forward to your next journey together. I am now a fan of all of you and will follow your respected videos. I was born in Mindanao it breaks my heart that people see Mindanao as a dangerous place if i have my way i want to go back in there spend the rest of my life in my birthplace .Mindanao has a lot to offer its a very beautiful place with beautiful and kind people. The multi ethnic people who live there still has their tradition and culture intact hope people will understand that respect for human dignity is important so that we can have lasting peace once in for all.More power to you sir Kyle for showing how beautiful Philippines is and its people especially the people of Mindanao....

WOW!!!!! The untouched beauty of Arakan is breathtaking! I totally agree with you Bit Bit as it has become my favorite of all the places that you have visited on this trip. You, Fighterboys, are the lucky few, to experience bathing in the multi-tiered waterfalls. Hoping that it stays pristine and undisturbed in many many many years.
