Whenever I watch these videos, I have an inconceivable and regrettable craving for TV dinners.
I'm just fascinated that there's such a wide range of TV dinners available in the US. It's actually a really interesting statement about the importance of entertainment and convenient food in American culture and the household.

Ian's blindfolded. He can't see the camera. Yet, I've never felt more scared of someone staring at me.
I'd like to wear those eyes to a job interview and see how it turns out. Would it be a recipe for success or would it just be creepy? Probably a mixture of both, I'd guess.
Fun fact: Ian is actually eating these as pies were originally intended to be eaten. In the medieval period, only the filling of pies was considered food. The pastry wasn't originally made to be edible, it was just a hard, disposable dish used to cook and hold the actual meal. Edible pastry wasn't invented until much later.

Killing it with the editing, Ian. I know you said you were feeling nervous about the quality, but you still managed to nail it. Your sense of humour slays my partner and I. The straight-faced and often earnest delivery of your script mixed with the cut-in visual jokes is great (sometimes horrifying.) I'd totally watch that other version of a blind taste-test of the same product between different brands that you briefly mentioned. (Could you include one opulent option so we can see the reaction in comparison with the usual freeze-dried cheap versions?)

While his game and movie reviews are also fun, I definitely feel like his style of comedy and editing are best complemented by the food videos.
@@gurvmlk He's evolved a lot since he started moving away from game reviews, and I honestly couldn't be more pleased. He was good at reviewing games, but he didn't really do much in that area that made him stand out from other game reviewers, unfortunately. His current style, on the other hand, is incredibly unique and special. I've been subbed to him for many years, starting way back when he was still just covering video games, and watching him develop his unique voice and style has been a real treat.
Agreed. While Ian's always been entertaining, he was just kind of there. He didn't really have a gimmick, style, or personality that made him pop like other game reviewers such as AVGN, PBG, ProJared, and Caddicarus. It felt like he was doing it because it's something that he could do, but now that he's started to explore other subjects, his style has blossomed, and he feels genuinely more enthusiastic in the videos.
