- Jurassic Park Pinball Machine - Rebuilding And Adding Pinball Mods
Recapping some of the things I've done to rebuild my newly acquired Jurassic Park pinball machine and the mods I've done in the last few weeks. Still a work in progress.

Should I paint the back box edges red too, or leave them black? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!
Paint Black edge 🖤 but shaker and pinsound board is a must. Jurassic Park movie has great sounds to import to your pin and shaker during Trex moments is perfect fit. I predict that you will buy another Jurassic Park pinball machine, they're all so good.
@@TampaTec my machine already has the stock shaker motor, but pinsound is certainly next on the to do list for me. Just gotta save up the cash for it since it is pricey.
Keep it original ❤️
12:46 option 1 shows important info about the machine, next year Jurassic park pin and movie turns 30 !
This is my favorite pin next to Ghostbusters Pin! Love the new upgrades and the still work with the original look. Great job on your Rex mechanism as well my friend!
Thanks so much!
I'd say Dennis for the free play card, that way you can say "Ah ah! You didn't say the magic word!" when someone wants to play your JP pin! XD
Jurassic park is coming along very nicely.
Still waiting on a couple more things I’ve ordered for it, but definitely making progress on it 👍
Looks great dude. I like the red on the backbox it makes I pop
Thank you so much for posting this Doug. This did a lot to dispel my Fomo for a real pinball machine. My god the work and maintenance haha. Great job on the restoration and certainly shows the owning a pinball is more than a financial investment.
Glad you enjoyed it man.
Wow, u put in a lot of work! Good work and nice detail you went thru
Thanks a bunch!
That looks so good all redone. i like the red trim and keeping main back board black. and got to have the Nedry free play sign.
Great job on the shop. Looks and plays fantastic. 👍
Excellent restore on your machine.
Great job fantastic 😊 leave them black ,and I like the option nr 2 way to go ,but it's you're decision
Wow. Looks good as new. Great job!
much appreciated!
Looking fantastic. Love seeing your passion for this project...and thanks for showing us your journey. Super jealous, as I don't yet have a real pin. Maybe one day.
is there a particular real pinball machine that you have your eyes set on to possibly acquire one day?
@@cooltoy That's a tough one. So many great pins out there... old and new. Always liked BOP, Getaway, JP (old and new), but some new pins I really like as well.
Great job sir!! Looking good so far!!
Thanks 👍
Very satisfying🥚cellent work #laborwithlove
Keep the black. Love the mods. That cab is one of my all time favs
Nice job DEXTER you’re getting this machine to look amazing 🤩…
As always thumbs up brother…
Thank you 👍
Looks stellar. It's amazing how much gunk accumulates over 30 years.
I like the red accents but I would keep the backbox frame black.
I think people have the misconception that Pinball machines since they have the glass on top are like snow globes and nothing gets inside them. Obviously that's not the case and they get super growdy inside rather quickly if you don't do regular maintenance on them.
@@cooltoy I think you mentioned the original price before but it escapes me. Were there units very expensive at the time? I can't imagine dropping $10k on one these days and not having it regularly maintained.
Personally I like the way the black leg bolts look with the red legs..and the red backbox trim looks nice.. Machine is looking great!.. I think you officially have been bitten by the pinball bug!
I definitely have been, fortunately pinball is something my wife also really enjoys which is a first for anything I like or collect
@@cooltoy That makes it even better!. My wife plays with me occasionally.. but not very often! Lol
I would keep it black. Dude you are doing a crazy good job on this pin. Been fun Watching you work this project. I've been trying to figure out my next purchase. I have metallica. Maybe ninja turtles, a 2007 spiderman, a Williams earthshaker, or stern star wars premium. Too many hard choices.
That’s a lot of good options. 2007 Spider-Man doesn’t get enough love
Good job brotha! How long did it take to replace the flipper coils?
10 mins a piece tops
Doug, I feel like I’m always asking you questions about your JP data East pinball… but it’s only because I own one as well, and I love your taste/take, on the upgrades.
Do you mind, if I ask, where you actually purchased the teeth from? I can’t seem to find it.
As always- love the content and thanks again for posting👍

@@cooltoy thanks Doug!!! Appreciate that man
Love the upgrades. Where can I find the D Nedry card? I need it for mine! Ty
I just made it in photoshop and printed it
How dd you change the display to colour? That looks awesome!

Keep it black. Don't know why, all I could think of after seeing the thumbnail was "Dodgson!, we got Dodgson here!" Get all this done before baby arrives. 🙃
fortunately I've still got a few more months until the baby arrives, so still some time left for me to tinker around with things.
Just curious how much the time and roughly how did mods cost you if you don't mind
Could you possibly put links to your mods. Would love to add a few of these to my machine.
Oh, and keep the black backbox.
Leave them black- it’s a toss up with some of that new mods- but sometimes less is more as far as keeping the nostalgia of the OG game- I had the same dilemma with JP as well… I agree and like your taste on all mods that preserve the machine!!! Do
You have links for the pinball feet protectors?
sure thing, I bought my protectors here: www.pinballlife.com/perfectplay-silicone-leg-leveler-casters-set-of-4.html
@@cooltoy thanks man--I just ordered… keep up that great work on it- good job!! Love this version of the game..
Where did you get the t-Rex apron decals? I would love to add that to my pinball machine!
