I owned this machine. Its really not that bad. Simple rule set and fun to play. 2 things I can tell you. You need to update the code. There are new features and a extra super skill shot holding down the left flipper. Just plunge and let it dead bounce in on the flippers. 2nd It is MDF. If this machine was in a climete controled room the whole time. Should not be a issue. Also MDR has a harder serface. So you won't get dimpling like on a playwood playfrield. Most I ever got was scufs.
There fun machines. Wish people would of given them more of a chance. Sad to see Stern end the run.
I had mine for about 6 months. Took it to the North West Pinball and Arcade show. Then drove it too a new home. It now lives in the Deadflip studio. Was fun seeming them having a one year anniversary stream playing it.

This game looks great fun, Jack danger nailed it, bodes well for his first cornerstone

Have one and I love it (along with 2 Pros and 2 Premiums). It's fast and a lot of fun. It has great shot geometry. You can forehand and back hand almost every shot on this game which gives you a lot of options on how to attack it. You can get a lot of bang for your buck if you spend $20 and get a cabinet speaker to fill in the 8" hole in the cabinet where you get a lot of the mechanical sounds coming through. Pretty straight forward code, but you still get 2 wizard modes, 2 multi balls, and 3 skills shots. You even get a T-Rex that actually does something, unlike the Pro cornerstone

I love pinball (wouldn't be here watching your content otherwise). I'd love to even have one pinball machine but my issue is space. I have a virtual pin machine because they're smaller. I guess where I'm going with this is, this is a great idea for people who are struggling for space and might just be able to accommodate this in their home due to the size difference. Although not a lot smaller, every little helps, it's good to have options. Thanks for the great content 👍

Thanks for reviewing this. Currently my distributor has this for $3700. Can’t justify getting a pro when it almost double the price.

It looks a great game, the number of the shots across the top is impressive for what is meant to be a budget game. The moving mech with the ball release is good too.
I just don't know if there is a market as you said at the start to separate these from the standard games. I'm guessing price isn't much cheaper and other than a few plastic parts and the loss of a few inches here and there it feels like they should just focus on the standard.
    Great review as always.

Thanks mate, I'm quite sure it would be very popular as a pro version of something.

Now you just need a Star wars home pin to add to your collection and you'll have both of the current home ones. 😀

Nice video. Playfield is MDF, you can see it anywhere there are routed out cutouts, like around the drop targets. You can also see bolt heads coming through the playfield anywhere there is a mech bolted underneath ( cos self tapping screws wouldn't last long ). Same on the side of the cabinet where the leg plates are. Another thing of note is it's restricted to 1 node board, hence why both slings fire at the same time, also both pops I think.

I've played 3000 games on mine have have zero dents in the playfield from the ball missing the jump shot. The MDF playfield is holding up nicely

This layout is better than the standard one. Put this layout on a standard pin. I moved my standard JP after 3 months.

Great summary of this table. Amazed there's so much in it for a homepin. It's really packed and looks great fun. Amazed there's a Trex mech! Shame you didnt get to the multiball. That's what we all wanted to see. How the balls are delivered after three locks. Do they come out of the mouth on multiball. How much are these going for? 👍

Hard to say really because there are only 2 in the country so no second hand market.

It's a very good game but only for the home environment. It's not robust enough for location.
      Great shots though

After looking up the pricing, this is not a bad offering. It's several thousands cheaper than the entry level standard edition.

So people can buy a pinball machine but save some money, or maybe buy it for their kids or something. I get it, but me personally I'd rather pay more and have the full real thing. This would be only be worth it to me if it were significantly cheaper, but its still really expensive

    • @joeb3008
      @joeb3008 Год назад +1

@@lander77477 exactly. For a just a few dollars more you can get a legit machine like a stern pro or an older BW game like BS Dracula or R&T road show.

It’s built like one of those 1UP arcade machines. Save up and buy a pro..
