I swear you have the best job in the world! You get to be around all these vintage games all day long, and get paid for it! And I've used your Amazon code a few times, I hope it goes through because I don't see any feedback on my end.
Just played this one a couple months ago at The Silver Ball Planet in Osaka! This is my favorite Era of pinball! Data East has so many good ones! Ninja turtles, Simpsons, Tales from the Crypt. Super excited to see Jurassic Park here, and in for repairs!
The arcade I go to has this game and I love it. I never knew T rex turned. I've only seen him go up and down to gobble up the pinball. Videos like this keep increasing my respect for arcade owners who have a dozen plus games to keep going for 12 hours a day. This one is definitely broke. Thanks for the video.
We had this at our local bowling alley as a kid. Thing was so epic to play. I remember it being on the back wall of the small arcade across from Tekken, MK3, MK2, Ivan Ironman Stewart's Super Off Road.
Two very common problems on Data East games like this one. If you have a problem with 5vdc, this cap is the 1st one to check. It dries out because it get to warm sitting to close to the bridge rectifier. And the other common problem are the fuse clips. They break all the time. Love your channels Ron, keep it up!
I don't know what's funnier - the commentary and descriptions? or that you are in a big empty room at night alone talking to yourself. Thanks for the videos :)
Best explanation ever on how electrons move thru a circuit board....does some stuff cant go that way but only this way some bla bla bla and there you go folks... blamo working! Love it!
It's going to be fun watching you fix this. I've never been into pinball, but I love the JP franchise, and I have wonderful memories of walking into an arcade and hearing the classic John Williams score and John Hammond booming "Welcome To Jurassic Park". This is one of the few pinball games I've ever actually played, and definitely the only one I wish I could own just for display purposes. Can't wait to see more of this!
Ronnie. Thank you for putting it in layman's terms. Going forward I will lick all the capacitors I suspect are bad and if they taste like Pedialyte I'll know they're failing.
This was my favorite pinball game when my local arcade got it back in the 90's and I hope to one day own it myself. I love watching and learning from your videos thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
Four years ago i left a similar comment on an unboxing youtube video of a 25yo JPDE machine. I just bought a unit and I'm waiting for it to be shipped to me, and I'm going through repair videos to get myself acquainted to the maintenance I'll inevitably will have to do :D You'll get your unit too!
This is my dream machine I want to add to my collection sooooo badly! All the kiddos in the entire fam and I and many more would love it! It will look great next to my Data East Robocop, Me and the wife are planning to come check this place out next year on our way to Alabama, we are from Virginia, little bit out of the way but hoping to leave your store with some kind of pinball machine.
I know all about that cap smell / sound after fixing so many dead Segas hahaha. And your redneckese (not to be confused with Hillbillese) has helped me learn so much over the years lmao.
Really worn out fuse holder contact clips. Who would of thought? Now leaking electrolyte from the E caps, that is usually where you get a power supply issue. Play on board still has mechanical issues but that was a great video so far Ronnie.
Slightly off topic but I love all the projects you brothers are into. I could bring in my talents and skills and make an awesome team. Seriously. I go by Bob but you guys can call me Bobby. I’m serious.
Did they ever make a Back To The Future pinball machine ??!! That would be awesome with sound files GREAT SCOTT !!! 88 MPH LET'S SEE IF THEY CAN DO 90 THIS IS HEAVY SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER !!!! 1.21 GIGAWATTS THIS SUCKER IS NUCLEAR THE FLUX CAPACITOR DOC !!! MARTY !!! So many cool lines they could use And the sound effects
HOOK was cool. The new sound board was so much nicer. The speech was clear and not chopped. They had to make it like that because of lack of storage space for the sound files. The new sound board is a must.
I have seen fuse holders and etc. as such fall apart like such. It has to do with the heat of the whole system, and sometime the fuse's warm up. every part in game systems such as a pinball game, see a lot of heat.
Electrolytic Capacitor Passage of an electric current through an electrolyte and the migration of the charge to the positive and negative terminals. I recognize the different components on the diagrams, for the most part.
"How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step by Step Procedures for the Compleat Idiot" I used to have a Karman Ghia back in the day and found this book to be very useful.
I'll bet this game was sold to a private owner brand new and never commercially operated. One tell is the coin door - look at the coin slots; there's no wear at all. Explains the pristine condition of the game.
Jurassic “parked” resurrection .. something not “right” with T-Rex. The music sounds like “a Quinn Martin production”. I wish there was an “open” pinball shop in my area. We have only the appt only, travel to you (mobile) kind.
Back in the mid 90's This is the game that made me hate pinball, not because it was bad but because I was a 19 yo assistant manager at an arcade and I couldn't get the damn T-Rex working. 😅
JOE CLASSIC, I'm not sure if Electrolytes are the same thing as Electrolytic chemicals in capacitors. Electrolytes have different minerals and chemicals than Electrolytic chemicals?
I hate those pinball machines that have the flippers short and too separated, those are not fun. Look like you can fit almost 3 balls distance in the center, guarantee half of the balls goes thru.
Turning redneckese I think I’m turning redneckese I really think so, da da da dum dum dum. Good to see this famous game in for a bit of help. Go get it Ronnie.
I really like that youre doing some "modern" games and not just EMs👍
I swear you have the best job in the world! You get to be around all these vintage games all day long, and get paid for it! And I've used your Amazon code a few times, I hope it goes through because I don't see any feedback on my end.
I can always count on you to cap the week off with a great Friday video. Thanks! Off to see what your brother is upta.

Joe was spot on again, its broke! I dont know how he is so consistent!
Hey hey! One of my 5 Desert Island pins! Looking forward to another awesome repair series!

The whole time I kept thinking "His right, or your right?" when you were working on the T-rex. 😉
Love it!
I'm deeply invested in this refurb after seeing you bring the t-rex back to life
It's going to be fun watching you fix this. Enjoyed the video as always. Thanks.
Thank you for another great video.
Clicked like just for the diode direction commentary :D Amen !
I live the way you explain it. Awesome :)
It's also the 30th anniversary of Jurassic Park and you are repairing it!
Wow love this....back in the day...I remember playing this excellent machine...love the red display screen....look forward to the next vid....cheers

Ronnie. Thank you for putting it in layman's terms. Going forward I will lick all the capacitors I suspect are bad and if they taste like Pedialyte I'll know they're failing.
Awesome it's not broke
It's Extinct🦖
This was my favorite pinball game when my local arcade got it back in the 90's and I hope to one day own it myself. I love watching and learning from your videos thank you for sharing your experiences with us.
so cool to see the t-rex eat the ball

Oh man would love to get that for my JP collection
Awesome!
LOL, Ron! You know you love that fancy hippie water!
omg this brings back so many memories of playing this game as kid at the bowling alley i really want one
"like a 9v battery but with no lickage!"... I laughed for a minute straight when you said this......
Yea this machine was awesome. Superior soundtrack and the TREX was cool eat the ball. Return to JP was even more complex.
just love your work.. learned so much!
Thanks for watching! We appreciate it!
Lots of stuff to bee repaird on that one😎👍
NEWMAN!!

Fancified!!! 👍😁
Regular game. Fancy game! 😅

good Fryday u all. Whar a good looking game.
Also fun fact: That voltage going into pins 11 and 12 is going through a voltage doubler. You end up with around 2x the input AC voltage there.
Back in the day when I used to service pinball machines of around that age those crap fuse holders were common.
Did they ever make a Back To The Future pinball machine ??!!
That would be awesome with sound files
GREAT SCOTT !!!
88 MPH
LET'S SEE IF THEY CAN DO 90
THIS IS HEAVY
SAVE THE CLOCK TOWER !!!!
1.21 GIGAWATTS
THIS SUCKER IS NUCLEAR
THE FLUX CAPACITOR
DOC !!!
MARTY !!!
So many cool lines they could use
And the sound effects
My God I was right , about the capacitor ??!!
Wow. I am feeling proud I noticed that.
I never noticed before how similar this playfield is to Whirlwind
Looks like the traditional playfield scrubdown is the only thing this machine DOESN'T desperately need.
HOOK was cool.
The new sound board was so much nicer.
The speech was clear and not chopped.

0:19:30 shango066 would say: right here we have identified the cap that refuses to plinko-twerkulate
Liked❤
I always lick capacitors too see if I can taste the hippy water... That's how you know if it's syphilitic or not.
At first I thought the speakers were rotted out, but that was just the black T-Rex paint on the brown grill 🥴
The capacitor with electrolytes! It's got what dinosaurs need
Those batteries are originals. Won't leak because they are dry cell. Came across two with those and still were good
T-Rex got indigestion from eating the lawyer! 😆 (but that proves she's really not all bad 😉)
"How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive: A Manual of Step by Step Procedures for the Compleat Idiot" I used to have a Karman Ghia back in the day and found this book to be very useful.
16:33 that cap looks like it is bulging a little
Yodelayheehoo

Amazballs!

Thanks for another cool video Ron! How do I order the cool t-shirt at 2:33?
I've been over at your homepage but can't find it.

I am fluent in Redkneckeese! :)

JOE CLASSIC, I'm not sure if Electrolytes are the same thing as Electrolytic chemicals in capacitors. Electrolytes have different minerals and chemicals than Electrolytic chemicals?
Capacitors come filled with Brondo cuz it's got electrolytes. When the Brondo leaks out the capacitor stops working. 😅
Very cool game, the way that thing shakes I’m surprised there are not more broken solder joints.
Wish they had 4X in the t-shirts
25:15
I know what's wrong with it, it's broke.😅😅😅
This was a great pinball game. I remember playing it when it was new
It looks like you get another two videos of it
It's not dead.. it's extinct!!. What does Joe say??
It's broke!
It's extinct!
No es bueno
It ain’t broke, it’s operating in a mode of non functionality
Dead JURASSIC PARK
21:00 what'cha talking about it has Gatorade in it not water.
👅9VOLT😝
the UNOFFICIAL PATCH rom does make the game better
For once Joe was right-------------------------------IT'S BROKE!!!!!----------------.
I’m always right!
I hate those pinball machines that have the flippers short and too separated, those are not fun. Look like you can fit almost 3 balls distance in the center, guarantee half of the balls goes thru.
It's BROKE.
The music sounds more Spider-man than Jurassic Park.
Red-neckease lmao the top arrow also had a stop in the name of love symbol... I'm so confused... good thing I don't have to fix any pinballs
Turning redneckese I think I’m turning redneckese I really think so, da da da dum dum dum.
Good to see this famous game in for a bit of help. Go get it Ronnie.
