    Also Raja Raja Chola called Kanchi Kailasanatha temple as "Thiru Periya Katrali" meaning "Big Stone Temple". Historians say it could have been inspired RajaRaja Chozha to build Thanjavur Big Temple (RajaRajeshwaram)

    I visited in 2022. Stupendous. Just the symmetry took my breath away. Well narrated. In Kanchipuram people are so nice. It was because of my father in law and a local guide I saw this temple , actually went to the Sankara Mutt. Well done narrator. Thank you.

    Also the sculptures of the temple complex are very unique. Looks like Pallavas took creative liberty from Agamas and Shilpa Sastra when it came to sculptures. There are lesser known temples in and around Kanchipuram with many stories to tell

    I guess Aihole, Karnataka has the earliest stone structural temple. As a Tamizhan, we need to give credit to other cultures as well.

      Dravidian architecture is also called tamil architecture..Everything has its root in tamilakam

    • @tharun541
      @tharun541 Месяц назад +9

      @@raghuls1515 Have you studied temple architecture? There are three categories: Dravida, Vesara and Nagara. Dravida architecture does not imply Tamil architecture. It is an architectural style found in South Indian temples. We never know where the Dravida style of temple architecture originated - Tamil or Kannada land. As per George Michell (temple architect and historian), we still need all the brick temples constructed in South India to exist today to conclude where Dravida architecture started. Unfortunately these brick temples got destroyed due to war and natural calamities. Even we don't have all literary evidences written - most of them destroyed. How do you conclude Dravida architecture started in Tamil Nadu? Just because Dravida and Tamil are same? If you say gopuram (not vimanam) emerged/developed in Tamil society , it makes sense. Studied about rock cut temples? Definitely not started by Pallavas. Already Chalukyas of Karnataka built rock cut temples before Pallavas and Pandyas built. You can go and check the years if you disagree.
      Why do you always say everything was started by Tamizhans, not Kannadigas or other societies? What is the need to ignore cross cultural influences? Just study history and spit facts, not pride!

      @@tharun541 😂 Man I know world architecture..I told that dravida refers to tamils & the origin of the structural stone temples were the tamilakam..those cave temples were pioneered by buddist & jains for your knowledge Jainism was a major religion in karnataka till 13th century..of course most of the elements of dravida style is from tamilakam..the place of origin will always has the highest concentration of things..tamilakam is the land of temples & undoubtedly the mother of culture..not only south india ..the architecture also heavily influenced south east asia too

    Pulikeshi was not killed by Narasimhavarman. Pulikeshi, for unknown reasons (which could be due to sudden death), had died well before Narasimhavarman invaded Vatapi. It was due to this sudden disappearance of an able ruler that internal conflicts arose within the Chalukyan kingdom, which Narasimhavarman very meticulously exploited to avenge his father's death.

    It's excellent and is commentable. But, in every historical events must be backed with good authorities. As you know, how sluggish and destructive is Indian Archeogical department is. My friend from Delhi used to say they only interested to show those purana stories only as History. Well done. 🙏🙏

    why Pallava discreeted Hindu temples why Pallava looted homes killed women and children and raped

      The so called Hinduism is looks like one umbrella but in those period of time it was sub divided by many smaller sections for example Vishnu followers ,Shiva followers ,Lord Murugan followers and a section of people were forced to live out of the town limit and create their own local deities . War crimes are happening in this modern days ,and no wonder it happened in those historical time.
