  • During British rule in India, many Englishmen married Indian women, giving rise to a new community of people - the Anglo-Indians. The Anglo-Indian community is well known for its contribution to the education system in India. And Chennai is home to the oldest Anglo-Indian school that also happens to be the oldest English medium school in India.

    Thank you for this invaluable insight of the history that affects all of us connected to Tamil Nadu. It's ingenious in its presentation.My parents hailed from TN and we as the first generation Msian-Indian who went to Msian missionary school and later grew-up in a post-independence dominant world of the other 2 major cultures thriving here. But thanks to my parents I still mnged to find out a fair bit including about the ivc and othrs
